i've been looking for Star Wars fanfiction for a while now and i've recently come across some stories at http://members.fortunecity.com/meshermin/SSB.htm
in the fanfiction sections, Ongoing Fanfiction and Archived Fanfiction

some good stories to read are:

The Returning

Spirit of the Shifting Sands

The Wedding of Luke Skywalker

Untold Secrets

A Moment in Time

Dark Relevations

all of the above are excellent stories with a strong focus on Luke, Leia, Han, Jaina, Jacen, Anakin, Mara Jade and anyone that is close to those characters.

(the following are crossovers

1. In Memory Of(about Luke and Co. and past prior to the events of ANH(yes it is an AU)

2. Unfillable Footprints (this is where the crossoxer begins(SWxLOTR) yep its a LOTR-set story)

3. A Long Time Coming(this one seem to fall of the edge of the abyss into silliness but if you can understand the plot you'll enjoy it)

4. A Wrinke in Time(the final of the series.)

the stories mentioned above are quite good and one or two(Dark Relevations, In memory Of and Spirit Of The Shifting Sands are truly good - they could be better than Stravo's Starcrossed even!)

Warning! Some of these stories also contain a lot of Smut!

no their not just pure "EU" stories, there's some "AU" as well.

if you actually read those stories, namely The Wedding Of Luke Skywalker and Untold Secrets you would realise that most, if not all, of the stories have Luke and Mara Jade as the main characters with the Solos as supporting cast.

the whole site is about Skywalker, for christ sake
its even named Skywalker Story Board.

as i said previously, some of the stories put even Starcrossed to shame.

One of the reasons I stopped caring about the SW EU was because 95% of the novels have Luke/Leia/Han etc as the main character. It got so repetitive that after awhile I just stopped caring. And I doubt fanfics would be much different. I just don't care anymore.

so what if the stories are just a repeat of what's been done?
i don't care. Those fanfic's are truly works of art.
'sides some are quite funny.

speaking of which.......

it even a has triolgy that set just after the events of the Darktide set and is an AU ending to the whole NJO series.

the first triolgy, Soul's Trial, is complete and deals with the Yuuzhan Vong and Mara's illness

the second Trilolgy, Jedi Ambassador, In The Shadows, only has the first 13 chapters of the first book complete.

I'd go with Vader's mask, allfics are based around Aniken or Vader, some nice AU stories and several that could even fit into continuity (what he's thinking stories, missing scenes, ect.)
