Terra (Sol III)-Terra is the Throne world of the Terran Imperium, as well as being the Most Populated planet, With 45 billion Men, Woman and Children on Earth’s surface, and an addisonal 3 billion in orbit. The Population of terra remains stagnant, not growing or shrinking much with each generation. This has to do with Population Quotas.

Each year, the government opens up the Licencing offices, if two people want to have a child, they apply for a Parenting test based on Intelligence, Psychological Profile, Ability to provide care for Children and Heath, If they prove satisfactory, they are given a licence that allows them to have a Child. The government lets out a certain number of Licences each year. Having an Unlicenced Birth is 2 weeks in an Isolation Chamber and a 25,000 Credit fine. Like all places in the Imperium, Abortions are perfectly Legal.

Religion has Drastically Diminished since the 1st century AT (1969-2069, old Calender), During the Solar System War (264-269 AT), the Middle East was reduced to Radioactive Desert by several Nuclear and Orbital Kinetic attacks. Mecca and Jerusalem were turned to dust, causing a slow decline in Judeo-Christian Religion. During the Rise of the Imperium, Religious Fundamentalists were a constant headache in conquered Territories. In areas were Fundamentalist Terrorism and Guerrilla warfare was common, Atheism, Moderatism, and Agnostic were promoted and encouraged by the state, and crimes committed in the name of Religion had there sentences Doubled for the first few Decades. After Terra was Unified under the Imperium, the decline of Religion continued. Currently, 97% of the Terra’s Population is Atheist, The most common Religion being Buddhism, followed closely by Hinduism, after that Judaism and Christianity. Islam currently has less than five million worshippers, most of them are moderates. Mainstream audited towards Religion is Neutrality towards Moderate Religion, and seeing putting Religion before Science, Archaeological studies and Ethics and doing the things that first century American Fundimentalists wanted to happen as being Backwards, Idiotic, Ignorant and Dangerous.

The 45 Billion people on Terra live in Mega Cities, These massive constructs are clearly visible from orbit, Chicago (the Capital of the Imperium) for instance has spread across most of Illinios, Missouri, a fair portion of Indiana, A peace of Michigan and some of Indian. Chicago is 14 km thick at the most Dense Region and has a population of 1.88 Billion. Other large Mega cities include San Angelus (Witch covers all of Southern California, save for Joshua Tree park, a bit of Arizona, and some of North western Mexico, Pop 650 million), Britiania (Covers all of Southern England, Pop 250 million), Honshu City (a large city that covers most of Japan, and has expanded into the Ocean, pop 552 Million), Houston (Covers all of Costal Texas and goes into Mexico, population 430 Million) and Atlantis (Located on the Equator in the Centre of the Atlantic Ocean, Population 440 Million). Smaller cites have populations averaging out at 35 Million, and stand about 3-4 kilometres tall. The food needs of Terra are massive, Hydroponic facilities in orbit, on the Deep Ocean floor and inside the cities supply this need. Sewage from these cities is possessed and recycled into Nutrient solution for Hydroponic crops. To prevent the massive traffic problems that would be caused by using 1st century type cars in these cities, VTOL air cars, bike filled walkways and Maglev Trans Tubs (A network of tubes approx. 3 metres in diameter with small cylindrical devices that are pressurized that is controlled similar to 1st century Elevators, cost half a credit per trip) have become the Staple of transportation. The top few hundred metres of these cities is topped with apartments for the Wealthy as well as parks and Fancy malls and Hotels. Below that is Housing for the middle class, malls, office blocks and shops. Beneath that is the Industrial level witch houses massive factories, construction centres, water possessing facilities, sewage treatment plants and apartments for the working classes. Below that in larger land based cities is the Under-city, this area is home to the massive support pylons that support the city, This area is largely abandoned. This under level is home to an infante supply of Rats and Vermin, as well as the destitute, Gangsters, Shady Taverns, criminal association bases (Tobacco Peddlers, Jump Dealers, Gun Runners), cultists and other undesirables. This place is used to store the massive sewage runoff from the upper levels.

Outside the Mega cities is unspoiled landscapes declared Nature preserves, next to everything outside the Mega Cities is Nature Preserve, Hunting wildlife is Illegal and has been replaced by video games.

In Orbit of Terra is a network of Orbital docks, Service yards and Star Cities exist. Every ship Imaginable can be seen above terra, Cruise ships, freighters, Science ships, Mining ships, Transport ships and warships. Faster than Light craft and Slower than Light ships birth here.

Luna (Sol-IIIa)-Luna is Terra’s only natural Satellite of consern, Luna was first reached by man on new year’s Day, 0 After Tranquillity, and was first colonised in 86. Currently, 1 billion people live on Luna, thecapital of Luna is Armstrong city. Luna Submitted to Terran Imperial authority, and became a member world. The biggest things that fuel the Lunar Economy are tourism (It’s just a short 1 hour flight from Terra, and everyone knows of the Cassinos of Luna and the Apollo Museum). It’s Economy is Augmented by producing power for earth and Titanium mining. Luna is also a large storage yard for bulk industrial goods, Such as Titanium, Depleted Uranium, Silicon, Tungsten, Pure Carbon, Ship parts, Mechanical Parts and Gold.

Mars (Sol-IV)-Mars was first landed on by the Exploration ship Aries-V on Darwin-14th, 77 AT, and the First Permanent Settlement was established in 94 AT. By the Time of the Solar System War, mars had a population of 750 Million, and was habitable without a Breathing mask. It had become completely self Sustaining. The population swelled for a few years, as droves of Colonists moved from Devastated Terra to Mars but after the Martian Space Fleets emerged the number of Colonists arrived dwindled. Twelve Nations emerged from the Colonies. There were several wars between the Martian nations, They were numerous American, European, Middle Eastern, Chinese, Mirconeisain, Southern African and Brazilian weapons Depots and Munitions plants on mars left over from the Solar System War, and a large number of Well Educated people on Mars, No surprise that mars was armed to the Teeth in a few short years. It’s Primary Export was weapons, such as the Martian ZA-7 Power Armour suit, the QV-10 Laser Assault Rifle and the JX-9 Main Battle Tank. All were massed produced, and sold threw-out the solar system, armies, militia, criminal Organisations, and many, many others were armed with weapons manufactured on mars. The Conflicts on mars encouraged the Development of mass Militia forces to Augment there standing armies. By 360 AT, when the Imperium was just starting to reach to the stars, mars was packing a massive arsenal. By that time, the 5 Remaining Martian states joined into the Democratic Coalition of Mars (DCM), still with a large Militia force and with the combined armies of mars for defence.

In 376, the Terran Imperial Star Navy approached mars, and gave them the Ultimatum of Join the Imperium freely, or be added to the Imperium by force. They Refused to join, and declared war on the Terran Imperium. The Martian space fleet engaged the Imperial Space fleet, but they were outnumbered four to one. The Battle for Mars on the Surface was hard. The Imperial Marine forces had to face Power Armoured Commandoes and hoards of Militia, even after the Government was overthrown. For thirty six Bloody years the Imperium fought a war against the Martian army, and the Remnants of it. On Imohtep 8th 380, Mars became a Colony of the Terran Imperium. During this time, the Imperium began to rebuild Mars in it’s image. In 488, Mars became a full Fledged member world after an Referendum.

Mars today is a Largely Industrial world with a population of 13 Billion clustered in Mega cities and is the Leading producer of Nanotechnology, Robots and Spacecraft. In Orbit of Mars is a series of Shipyards that build many spacecraft a year. Every Battleship in the Imperial Star Navy that has been built since 431 has been built in orbit of Mars. Martians eat more Synthetic Food than organic food. Mars has gun control laws loser than those on Terra, It is possible to buy non military grade Pistols and single shot Rifles there. A Popular sport on Mars is hunting down old Household Servant robots, mobile vending machines, Robot Bartenders and other old Robots in the Lower Levels of the Mega Cities or outside the cities on airbike. These robots are reprogrammed to avoid death at all costs, how to repair themselves to some degree and are given a limited ability to learn. Most robots don’t survive hunters for more than a week, but those that do begin to work together with other robots to avaid hunters. Sometimes Hunters disappear during hunts, this has lead some people to believe that some groups of Robots are killing Hunters. How ever, there are also a lot of common Muggers in the lower levels of the Megacities, and Bears and Tigers outside the city limits.

There are still are old weapons on Mars left over from the wars of the Third and Fourth Centuries across the Martian Landscape. The thing is that Martian weapons were made to last, and an active 30% of these weapons can still be used, and addisonal 21% can be salvaged. While a 35 KW laser rifle is little use against a modern Imperial marine, they are more than significantly powerful for Pirates, Robbers, and other people you would not like to come across in a dark Alley. They also posses appeal for firearms collectors. A person with a metal Detector could make a decent amount of money digging up old Martian weapons, assuming he can find them.

Martians are less likely to Join the Imperial Armed forces than Terrans or extra solar colonists, Those who do join are generally go into the Star Navy or Tender Fleet because of the problems of living on a low gravity world. This has been somewhat undone by making it mandatory for all Able Bodied Martians to Experience at least 3 days of Terran Gravity via Centrifuge every year.

Venus (Sol-II)-Venus was first landed on by human explorers in 78, these people first established Terraforming stations. The early Terraforming stations were run by computer, but by 120 some of them had staffs of well educated people, generally government personal, but after 45 years they had next to completely switched over to a group of Dregs on the cooperate paycheck. Venus was also inhabited by a small group of Prosectors, Geologists, miners, Military personnel, Industrealists and various support jobs. As the Clouds of mars pealed away and atmosphere’s Oxygen supply became more and more plentiful, this small number of people grew slowly, but after the Solar System war Millions fled to Venus is mass Emigration to avoid terrorists, fundamentalists and Despots that had infested Terra. These were largely unskilled people. The Venusian Republic was founded shortly after the war to attempt to restore order, but violence in the streets were common and food in short supply. By the Fourth Century, Venus had managed to become Eden Class, and the flow of people off of Terra had slowed. The Venusian government began to steady Venus into a new era of Relative Prosperity.

In 371, the Imperial Terran Armada came into orbit of Venus, and Presented them with the Join or be conquered message, and they joined. The Venusian army was in no shape to fight a war, it had less than a million men, armed with aging Martian weapons. Upon submitting to Imperial Rule, The Terran Imperium (and the cooperation under it’s flag) began to rebuild Venus into a Paradise.

Currently Venus is the Biggest tourist attraction in Sol system. There are several sizeable bodies of water (Demeter Ocean, Amazon Sea, Lake Armstrong) as well as the breathtaking Heinlein Rainforest, witch is the size of Australia as well as the Coral reefs off the coast of New Portsmouth. Most of the Creatures native to Nova Terra are not found on Earth, Many of witch are genetically engineered or recreated. The Greatest Predator on Venus is the Tyrannosaurus Rex, witch have made the Heinlein Rainforest a sight of Particular Interest to the people whocome to Venus. The Equater, and everything within a thousand km of it is Desert, and is home to massive wind farms.

Venus has a permanent population of 9 Billion, with an addisonal 300 million in orbit. There is about .7 Billion Tourists on Venus at any one time.

Mercury (Sol-I), Mercury is, and always has been a world with little activity, it has less than 20 million citizens, and is run mostly by the Venusian government and Mercury Fabrication limited. The Colonists work Solar Farms, produce minor technical components, Syphon Deuterium from solar flares and produce food. They are more or less a Pit stop for sunlight spacecraft, witch most people are fine with. How ever, it’s what lies beneath her surface that makes her an incredible planet.

Around 480, the Imperium devised a system for dealing with multiple offence murderers that offered zero chance of escape and did not involve executing. They dug a network of tunnels beneath the Mercurian landscape, filled them with Oxygen, water, added a few lights, put some cavefish in the water, Some sewage, a few cows, a few of Donkeys, and added the spores of several types of genetically engineered fast growing, oxygen producing, Edible Mushrooms down there. A 1,750,000 km labyrinth of caves averaging 15 metres wide were created. Criminals were shoved down underground by the shipload with Luminators, a Change of Cloths and a book of matches. The Mushrooms feed on human waste, dead stuff, and what ever else made of biomater that dead that they can get. If there is over-population, some spades and pick axes are sent down and they are told to dig more tunnels. They do not dig upwards, towards the surface because doing so is a death sentence. So far, an addisonal 330,000 km of tunnel have been added so far, addisonal Oxygen and water has been added as needed. There has emerged a few civilizations living in these caves, complete with cities, artwork, governments (generally Patriarchicial inheritance based dictatorships, similar to those of Europe of the Sixth Century BT), laws and armies. The Mushrooms (witch grow up to a metre tall and with caps a metre wide) are cultivated for food, feedstock, Medicine, there roots (witch have fibres perfect for making clothing, rope and other things), Fuel and Distillation into Alcholohic beverages. New arrivals from the surface suffer six Fates...

1, they are captured and sold into Slavery.
2, they get killed by someone who attempts to capture them so they can sell them into slavery
3, they avoid capture for long enough to become profishent in avoiding it, and live in some
abandoned section of tunnel. Becoming a nomad.
4, Rally a group of Nomads into a group, generally becoming a hoard of warriors that either
launches a assault against a city, or founds one.
5, manages to work his way into a city.
6, Commits suicide

One, two, three and six are the most common, five happens about once in every 20 convicts sent to Mercury. There is no civilization down there with anything beyond Iron age technology, many not even at that point. Once and a while, a Mercury cave born person is abducted is taken out to study what this has to say for the evolution of the people. The people down there have Plale skin, large eyes that are very sensitive to light, have a very sensitive sense of hearing, Callused feet and hands, and tend to walk over hunched slightly. Jupiter (Sol V)-First Reached by human Explorers in 84, and was first Colony was established on the moons in 121. By that point, Space travel had become cheep enough so that nations that were not superpowers could get out there. Colonies were established there by Canada, Australia, Korea, Mexico, Japan and a few other nations. It was viewed as a great place to establish the Future of humankind. Ganymede was seen as a prominent colony sight due to a Mineral Wealth, and millions immigrated to it and the other Moons. Europa had a giant glass sphere built around it to convert it into an Eden Class planet, and it still under Construction at the beginning of the Solar System War. Up until the Solar system war, Millions went to the Jovian moons in search for a better life.

During the Solar System War, Heavy fighting happened in Orbit of Jupiter and on the Moons of Jupiter, in fact, the Atlanta incident happed in orbit of Jupiter. Io was Sterilized in 265, taking 75 million lives. Large Space battles took place in orbit of Ganymede, Calista and Europa and large scale ground battles took place on every major Jovian moon. Over 225 million Jovian died during the solar system war, 35% of the Total Population at the time.

After the War, The Jovian began Rebuilding. Io was Resettled and a High Birth rate and massive immigration from Earth Restocked there ranks in 20 years. The Colonies broke off from there controlling nations, and ship. Each moon Developed it’s own government, becoming a nation. These Nations never got along witch each other that well and there were no shortage of border Small battles and low end assaults against each other. The Three most Powerful Nations were the Galilean Commonwealth, Worker’s Republic of Calista and the Sovereignty of Ganymede, all three in a Perpetual state of Cold War. They bought massive amounts of weapons from Mars, and building three powerful space fleets, and also produced many ships, including a good percentage of the antimatter pulse, Laser Sail and high power fusion drive ships that were loaded with people from so and so part of the solar system and send them off to the Extra solar colonies. When the Imperium decided it was time to move in and bring the Jovian Moons under Imperial Rule in 397, The Sovereignty of Ganymede joined the Imperium Freely (but much of the Military Defected to the W.R.C.), but the Other two Jovian Nations attacked with the Full Fury of there combined Star Forces witch Held back the Imperial Star Navy for a year and a Half. They began a mass exodus to the Extra solar colonies, and moved 8 million people away in that year and a half. Without there powerful Navy, the Jovian national armies (and hoards of Civilians that they gave an assault rifle, 2 clips and a pair of grenades that a augmented them) were crushed beneath the Boot heals of Imperial Terran soldiers after a few short months.

The Jovian moons have a total population of 11 billion, Most of witch living on Calista, Ganymede and Europa. Europa is the most Populous of the Jovian moons with 4.8 billion. Construction of the Sphere is complete and now it is an Terra like paradise. Ganymede has 3.1 billion, and uses light ship building, mining, Hydroponics and carbon possessing. Callisto is the third most populated of the moons, with 1.2 billion. The shipyards were destroyed by the Imperial Star Navy during the Imperial Conquest, and never fully recovered. They Only build sunlight craft and FTL ships smaller than 200 metres long, at slow speeds, they make most of there money building Corvettes for the Imperial Star Navy. Io serves as a power station, using microwave relay stations to supply energy to other moons, Augmented with some small scale mining and manufacturing, it has a population of 600 Million. The Rest of the Population is scattered across most of the Moons.

Europa, Ganymede and Io are member worlds in the Terran Imperium. Calista is still an Imperial Colony, the other moons, despite a series of Referendums.

Jupiter possesses a Large CDF (Citizens Defence Force, basicly a Militia, five days a month at the base, pay for your own weapons, yaddi yaddi yadda), 18 million men strong.

Saturn (Sol-VI)-Saturn was first Colonised in 146, Like Jupiter, Millions moved to Saturn in search of a better life. Less people went to Saturn due to the fact that Saturn is at best twice as far away as Jupiter. The average max speed back then was 100 Kilometres per second, equating a trip several months long, varying with time of launch, age of the ship, raiders, luck and other factors. The Saturnian population reached a mere 300 million by the outbreak of the Solar System War, most of witch on Titan.

During the Solar System War, Saturn was not hit all that hard. A small Squadron of European Frigates were destroyed by the American Battleship Valley Forge in 266, and the Americans and Europeans battled for Control of Saturn somewhat over the last three years of the war, generally withdrawing most of there forces shortly after the assault to Jupiter, and the other one then attacked. By the End of the war, no major massacres or large scale damage happened to the Saturnian Colonies.

After the War, Saturn Fell under control of Titan, grew, and lived in good conditions. The Democracy of Titan managed there affairs well enough, probably because they held back on military spending after a few small battles in it’s first decade to shoe out a few freeholders and Pirates from the rings and the smaller moons. When the Imperium arrived in 413, They joined the Imperium freely. This was because of the Simple fact that a firefight with the Imperium would be a Disaster, even if they could retrofit there entire Merchant Marine in 4 weeks, there fleet would still be outnumbered Eight to One.

A total 7.3 billion call the Saturnian moons home, and 4.6 billion of that is on Titan. It houses several bustling Metropolises, Medium Scale Manufacturing, mining, Hydroponics and research. The Universities on Titan are excellent, run by top notch staffs, many wealthy people send there kids to Cassiri, Kepler, Avalon and Alderaan Universities and the other exelent Universities of Titan. Titan has a history of Parliament Members with strong Pacifist ideology, and most of the Saturnian seats in Parliament are part of the Libertarian Party, witch has appose military spending as well as the Conquest of other worlds.

Uranus (Sol-VII)-Uranus was first Colonised in 153, not by a governments, but by mining cooperation. More Specifically Trans Solar Mining and the Robertson Corporation. The colonists were Employees of these corporations and there families. The US Military also kept an active naval base called Port Coral Sea in orbit of Puck to defend against raiders.

During the Solar System War, the Chinese and South Africans launched a few small assaults against Coral Sea, and had there ashes handed to them each time. The Coral Sea squadron was cut back to a third strength in 268, but was reinforced when the USN Key West, a destroyer moved in for Refit at the small repair yard latter that year. Because of the War Trans Solar Mining and the Robertson Corporation moved there Headquarters to Oberon. By the End of the War, most of the fleet Remained, as well as the US Marine Core Garrison of 50,000 men. Raiders proliferated when the War ended, and Rear Admiral Schmitt refused to risk his men in an attempt to cross the 2 billion km between Terra and Uranus. Instead they assumed there job as guardsmen, settling on puck, turning it into a base of Operation. After the war, Refugees flooded in by the ship full.

The Native Uranians became completely reliant on the Corporations for food, housing, education and everything else. The Corporations became the government, even building there own armies, and because they were cooperation, they were feircly competitive and each tried many “Hostile Takeovers” of the other Corporation. The Forces on puck became a nation based around the Military Service and Military Discipline, Applying it everywhere (a teacher had to pass an Academy corse to become a Teacher, and had to salute the Principle of there school) as well as an army of Elite Soldiers and Starsailors for there Star Navy, Evolving into the Matrialocarchy of Puck. They began construction of Large scale shipyards, capturing pirate ships and designing and producing weapons. Augmenting the Martialocracie’s standing army was the Citizen’s Defence force, every able bodied person between the ages of 19 and 50 had to spend two days a month being trained in combat, and with a discipline culture, this made for a formidable army. Two other moons was forced into joining the Matrialocarchy of Puck. Once Trans-Solar Mining conquered the Robertson Corporation in 329, It turned it’s eyes towards the Matrialocarchy of puck. When they attacked, how ever, the Matrialocarchy turned out an navy that was well prepared, and armies that were better trained and equipped. The Corporate army was bigger how ever, and a series of Stalemates, Cold wars and Raider attacks kept Either one from winning. When the Imperium came in 421, they just joined. The Matrialocarchy knew when to fight, and when to surrender, and that when you are outnumbered 10 to one and your enemy posses superior technology, it is a damn good time to surrender, and there were far worse nations to join than the Terran Imperium. Trans Solar mining saw this as a sorce of business prospects.

Uranus has a population of 5 billion, and has garnered the Nickname “New Sparta”. Trans Solar Mining filed for Bankruptcy in 519, Leaving militaristic attitudes to thrive. While this has been Diluted over the past 3 centuries and the Civilian Defence Force has become Voluntary, they still have rank structures in many things such as schools and restaurants, and have the highest rate of veterans to the total population in the entire imperium, with 1 veteran for every 3,000 people. Democracy has replaced selecting leaders on rank, but some feel that Reprisentive Democracy is not as good as Rank Based politics. Deuterium is Syphoned from Uranus and sold to ships.

Neptune (Sol-IIX)-Neptune was first colonised in 177 by a branch of the Robertson Corporation, Triton was an attempt to gain a foothold on an Unexploited mineral wealth, and had some marginal success, but it was hard. 2 billion was used up in the first decade alone, and it took 6 years before the first shipload of ore came in from Titan. The 8 mining complexes had combined less than one and a half million people living on them.

The one place were the Solar System war did not go in the Solar System was Neptune. Due to the US cutting off trade with other nations and a steady proliferation of Raiders, the Robertson Corporation was forced to abandoned Neptune to cut losses. Four out of the five corporate gun ships in orbit of Triton was recalled to Uranus. A 74 metre long gunship armed with three low power lasers was barley enough to protect a few small colonies on one moon, let alone stop Raiders from moving in onto other moons, setting up shop and begin flourishing and proliferating. From Neptune, raiders could launch an attack on civilian shipping and plunder, they could then fall back across the void to Neptune, far out of the range of the Torpedoes of the Authorities. They struck trade rotes as deep into the Solar system as those connecting Venus with Mars. Many people were willing to buy stolen ships, particularly those who wanted to send those ships to other star systems. The ship defending Triton was given some help, they used the small repair yard to build a few addisonal ships, but were still outnumbered by the raiders. The Tritons fought many hard battles to get there merchantman to Foreign markets.

When the Imperium came in 425, they sent a squadron of 3 Yamamoto Class Battleships was sent in to crush the Raiders once and for all, and they succeeded. 50 raider ships destroyed and 165,000 raiders killed or captured, the rest dispersed. The Tritons decided to join the Imperium.

Currently Triton is still famous for the Raiders, many movies have been made about the raiders. Neptune’s 400 million residences get a lot of Income from several Raider themed amusement parks. It also is a Research station, Mining colony and serviceyard.

This setting sounds interesting, but the pre-imperium period sounds more interesting than the post-imperium one.

Problems:

1. How do you speed up the rotation of Venus?
2. You can't "farm" a solar flare.
3. You can't spell.

Eden (Tau Ceti-IV)-Eden is an Eden class Planet, similar in many ways to Terra. It has 1.4 g gravity and 62.8% Hydro coverage, on average it is a bit cooler than Terra. On an Evolutionary state, it is around equal to Terra during the early Mesozoic period, life does exist both on land and in the oceans, Animals on land don’t get any larger to a Terran Wolverine, the big ones are all Hexipedal. Trees don’t get much taller than 10 metres, and most life lives in the swamps and rainforests. All that lives in the Desert are small anthropoids and small lizard like critters.

In 81 AT, the Laser Sail/Rail-gun space probe Discovery II was launched from Terra to Eden. It was Accelerated to .1 C, an unheard of speed back then. When the data collected from the probe was received in 191, the Colony Ship Leaf Erickson was sent out. Her engines were Antimatter based and were able to reach .2 C. Over the time period of 70 years, 22 more colony ships were launched (5 American, 6 Chinese, 4 European, 3 South African, 2 Malaysian, 1 Middle Eastern, 1 Brazilian), and a total 305,000 colonist were dispatched, before the SSW. The colonists had no shortage of viable land or resources and the people selected for the colonies were a mix of military personnel who had collage diplomas and highly educated people without criminal records. The combination of these two factors created a safe and sane world for the first two generations. Some conflicts emerged, but these were nothing on the scale of what was going on in Sol System.

Junkriders began arriving in 319, 4 ships containing 3,578 colonists in second rate cryogenic systems. One of them was an Antimatter mircofusion drive, the other three were multi stage amat Orion craft. They were allowed to settle, there ships were cannibalised for components and they were given a new life. Ships then began arriving, slower craft or ships launched latter. They began ariving in large numbers in the 360s, this was when the slower Laser sail craft managed to arrive, while laser sail craft could only carry 50 people at most, they were dirt cheep and many were launched, an average of 35,000 Laser Sail craft arrived every year along with larger, faster craft, totalling to an average of 205,0000 people a year. Most of these people were Unskilled and were unused to the planet’s higher gravity. Cities were hastily built, crime rose, and unemployment became a severe problem. A good deal of people believed that cutting off the flow of Junkriders would benefit Eden massively, most of these were simple public protests but a few desire to make Terrorist attacks against Junkriders and new wave settlers. By 389, they had succeeded in limiting the Number of New arrivals on Eden, allowing only 100,000 settlers per year, this was cut back to 90,000 a year in 399, and 75,000 in 406, the others who were not allowed to settle on Eden were allowed to settle on Homer (the largest of Eden’s four moons, the other three being comparable to Phobos and Demos in size) and elsewhere in the Tau-Ceti System.

When the Imperial Exploration Ship Enterprise arrived in 562, a massive threat was identified. The Terran Imperium could send in a Battle fleet from ten LY away and conquer Eden. They heard tails of the Imperial conquests, and the Power of Terran Imperial Military Forces. How ever, they had a large number of ships in system and had developed some level of weaponry to deal with the Raiders that did emerge. A crash Spacecraft production program began, but in 565, there fears were confirmed, as the First Terran Imperial Starfleet was launched. Fourteen ships of the wall, one hundred and nine lighter ships towed threw hyperspace and thirty two squadrons of Starfighters. The Edenite fleet had three times that and could replace losses in local shipyards and Academies, but there weaponry was horribly outdated, there fighters could pull a mere 6 gravities, Half of it was jury rigged and had crews composed mostly of Freighter Jocks and Green Academy fresh personnel. The Imperial navy held a stalemate for three years, but the Imperium had an ace up there sleeve, as the Second Imperial fleet had been Refitted with Hyperdrives and dispatched. After the nine month flight threw Hyperspace, the battered first Terran fleet got a massive amount of backup. The Edenite fleet was all but wiped out in two weeks, the rest scattered far and wide. Despite achieving complete space Superiority, the Imperial Military had the hardest part of there job in front of them. The Combined fleets of the Terran Imperial Star Navy had four ITMC Legions, each with 450 squads of UC Marines (A squad being 15 men), 150 DP Marine squads, 200 Main Battle Tanks, 300 Light Tanks, 450 Field Medics, 450 Field Mechanics, 150 Artillery Rocket Launchers and 300 Atmospheric gun ships, but this army of Elite soldiers was going against 1,500,000 hastily trained conscripts. Resistance was heavy, and the government encouraged threw incredible propaganda campaigns to resist the Terran Imperial forces with whatever they could muster, the result was a bunch of anti imperial terrorists sabotaging whatever the Imperium tried to build. The first year of Invasion was holding off massive numbers of conscripts and Terrorist ploys out of 3 Captured cities. That ended when a Convoy of Transport craft arrived with 5 more Legions of Imperial Marines. For 3 years the fighting continue as ITMC forces pushed into Eden against a much larger, but far more incompetent and poorly armed force of Edenite soldiers. After the Edenite government finally surrendered in 571, the Edenite government offishly surrendered, but not after ordering there army to go underground and continue to fight against Imperial Forces. As the Imperium began to settle into the newly acquired colony, terrorists did there damn best to slow them down. What the rebels lacked in military equipment, they made up with in stealth (flogging the entire population of a city for the acts of 12 people is wrong, ineffective at stopping terrorists and causes more to come out of the woodworks) and there ability to Sabotage. Colonists from Sol who wanted a better life, wanted work or did not get a Birth Licence went by the ship full to Eden. Terrorists also began leaving Tau Ceti, and spreading anti imperial sentiment across the extra solar worlds.

The Terrorist’s biggest success is the Cromwell Incident of 624. 43 Terrorists employed by yard facilities as engineers snuck aboard ITN Cromwell a Cromwell class battleship rested in the Orbiting Spacedock for shore leave. They had some top nocht hackers with them, and managed to bring the ship out of dry dock, get it maned with 300 addisonal terrorists and threatened to use it to destroy as many merchant ships as they could find in Interstellar space unless Eden was remade independent. The Result was a 2 week manhunt for the Stolen ship, but she was finally caught refuelling in Wolf 359 and brought down by two other battleships and five destroyers. This little incident caused yards to be more picky on who they hired.

Eden Currently has a population of 8.6 Billion, and is still Upset for the Imperium’s conquest of there world. Terrorists are still common in Eden, this is dealt with arguably the Imperium’s best trained police force. While it has settled down, it still exists and has prevented 3 Referendums for upgrading Eden to Member world from sucseeding. The Free Eden movement has currently switched to Random Bombings of Imperial Military facilities and attacks on space elevators and spaceports. There has been 43 assassinated members of the Legislation Senate, more than any other world. It also has the least Veterans per Capita, 1 for every 37,500 people, there C.D.F. by the Contrary is rather large, 22.35 million men and woman strong. Eden’s Economy is mostly self sufficient, but makes a tidy profit selling Lumber, Artworks and Crafts, Organic food, Edenite wine and Jade (the highest quality of Jade yet found is on Eden) to out of system buyers.

The Terran Imperium Universe is my own creation, It is a relitivly hard sci-fi universe wicth is to some small Degree Cyberpunk, but is more Military Sci Fi and Space opera. The Imperium is in some ways like modern Earth, but in many other ways not. In some ways you would consider it more liberal (Healthcare pagage of $3,400 a year, conscription Forbiddion under constitution, as is execution, Extreamly well funded Education with Reward systems to incurage high marks, high Atheist Population) and is some ways not (Corperal punishment for Adults (generaly Floggings), Population growth laws, Conquors other worlds (athogh they do have a sort of Conquor the Barbarians and feed them wine additude).

They also speak a Diferent Laugauge, Terran Imperial wicth is basicly what you get when you combine English with German and Mandarin.

Some suggestions
1) Stop calling it "Hard" Sci-Fi. It's obviously not hard if they have FTL and such plus it gives people a reason to call you on any bad science. Which you appear to have alot of.
2) LEARN TO SPELL!!! If english isn't your native language or you just have issues with spelling or something have someone proofread it for you.

Other than the above I do like it.

It is only Relitivly Hard, I admit it does have some Violations (FTL and Grav Control), but no other things that other "Hard" Sci Fi has (Nanowankery, Transporters, Sigularity control, Energy Wall Sheilds).

Nun Wa (Tau Ceti-3)-Nun Wa was a harsh world, .7 g gravity, the Average Temp averaged at 160 degrees, a 230 hour long day, intense sandstorms and an thick atmosphere predominantly CO-2, Water vapour, Methane and Nitrogen and sulfuric acid, this being fuelled by Volcanos. This made her a good sight colony sight.

The Chinese Launched the first Colony ship to Nun Wa in 192, The planet was something they saw as a great opportunity. Unlike Eden, the Americans had little consideration to that rock. The mission was a Terraforming one, the ship had room for 8,000 colonists and the resources required to make a thriving, self Sustaining town, but instead, they carried 750 Terraforming experts and a lot of Terraforming Equipment, Including a massive 100 metre tall atmospheric processor capable of converting 15,000 tonnes of native atmosphere into breathable Eden class Oxygen/Nitrogen mix an hour. The ship also had a comet tow, VTOL aircraft and a supply of genetically engineered Algae that thrived in the Environment. Landfall happened in 253. Three more Chinese, and two American colony ships also landed on Nun Wa. The Colonists had to put up with many hardships at first, space was limited, and little was devoted to production of expansions, How ever there assets grew. The Algae Flourished, covering vast portions of the planets surface in a mere Four Decades, devouring the carbon in the atmosphere. The area covered in this algae were large Slime pits in and around the Polar Regions, moving south at a rate of 2km a year. The term “Nun Wa Sludge” Emerged in the American Colonies on Nun Wa from this Viscus Terraforming Algae, this refers to something or someone who Looks worthless, but is likely than not going to do surprisingly well. More processors were built after the first few decades. By 360, the Planet’s atmosphere was breathable without a mask and regions were livable, if not hot. The Algae died in temperatures under 21 Degrees, but left an excellent layer of topsoil. How ever, Frequent Acid Rain showers, Duststorms proved to be a Headache for the Early farmers, Plants had to be Genetically Modified.

Junkriders came to Nun Wa in less numbers, Eden was just as easy to get to and had a far better climate, until the mid Fourth Century, only 2% of all Junkriders ships went to Nun Wa. These people were generally looking from Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter or space stations and had no qualms with living inside environmental systems. This Number increased drastically when Nun Wa became habitable, and increased even more when the Edenites passed there Immigration Laws. Most of the People in the Latter half of the Fourth Century were used in the establishment of Ecosystems and farms in the newly created arable land. Food Sales with Nun Wa proved to be a Lucrative Market, despite the fact that next to everything grown on Nun Wa was Genetically Engineered.

When the Terran Imperial Navy arrived in system, Edenites Influence persuaded them to contribute to the Defence of the System, how ever, the Population of Nun Wa was 230 Million at the time, compared to the 1.12 Billion of Eden and a large portion of Nun Wa’s population was devoted to Agriculture. What it did contribute was a Ragtag “Squadron” of old Freighters, Junkriders craft and a few highly Rushed Warships, the crews were also less capable than there Edenite Counterparts, not just because Nun Wa only had 12,000 Astronaughts and 430 Spacers before news of Imperial Conquest came, but because of the Fact that anyone born and raised on Nun Wa was less capable at handling Gs than an Edenite. Once the Second Imperial Starfleet arrived, they saw the scenario was hopeless, and surrendered. Edenites to this day call the Nun Wanesse “Cowards”, “Spineless Losers” and “Surrender Monkeys”. There has been some level of anti Imperial Sentiment, particularly due to it’s close proximity to Eden, how ever this was never as intense as on Eden. With a 63-37 Referendum in 713, Nun Wa was Elevated from Colony to Member world.

Nun Wa is currently a Tropical to Temperate world, The long night provides a week long Rainy season every night, and Dry Season every day, as well as high wind speeds, Magnified by her thick Atmosphere. This does cause large Duststorms that are a problem, how ever most plants have been Genetically engineered to withstand these, and they were Much worse during the Early days of Cultivation. The Population of Nun Wa is 3.82 Billion. Nun Wa’s Primary Export is grain and Free-range Beef, Bison, Foundationite Lummox (Hexepedal Rhino sized creature with a tough, but remarkably flavourful meat, named after it’s low walking speed and tenancy to sleep during the day), Pork and other Meats, as well as Produce and grain. It also is also home to the Only shipyard in the Tau Ceti System.

Another interesting fact is that in the Zedong River is home to a Population of 14,000 Baiji (Chinese River Dolphin), this creature had been Extinct for over 350 years, how ever, the Chinese government had collected DNA Samples, and transferred them to Nun Wa. Upon Successful Terra forming, 1,000 Individuals were cloned and Released into the wild.

Make sure to use connecting words, they're important. And units too. Make sure to list units. 160 degrees what? And grammar too. Use lots of that. Also, please if your going for "hard" sci-fi make some attempt at not having ridiculous shit. Oh and try and at least keep things consistent on a sentence to sentence level. If a day lasts as long as 2 earth weeks I can see how it can be a week long night/a week long day but how can it be a rainy/dry season in this period? After all, isn't a season generally, I don't know, LONGER THAN A FUCKING WEEK?

Celcius, ithe standard Terran Imperial form of Mesurement is Metric, In fact if you asked a Terran Imperial a Question like "How mucth for 10 Pounds of potatoes" or "How many Miles is the Mall from here?" They will have no idea what you are talking about. Imperial is only used by historians doing reserch into 700 year old, or older Documents.

Well here's why it's important to include units of measure, or at the very least put that somewhere near the begining of your story. Say that this is republished to a new webboard. Or, god forbid, you get picked up by a pulbishing company and this becomes a book. What happens to readers someplace else who don't have you around to answer that for them? Hell, what happens if this gets put into a cleaned up thread and as such those comments aren't there? So it's always best to assume your readers don't know something about your universe and put it in that to assume that they do know it and not put it in.

Rainy Season is a word that basicly Equates to the cycle system. Mostly word evolution.

Durring Nun Wa's day, The Temp rises, causing a lot of Evaporation. The Temp drops at night, resulting in a cooling effect. The Atnosphere moves around alot because of this temp diference, the Cooler side gets far more more rain.
