The ship certainly would kickass over everything else. Would make for a kinda boring fic too, unless done exquisitely right.

Here's the backstory:
Einhander Sn0m4n wrote:The embodiment of Palpatine's plans for extra-galactic conquest, the Imperium would have been as powerful as a Death Star, but much more mobile. Equipped with a small fleet of capital ships, thousands of fighters, and innumerable support craft, the Imperium would have had virtually unlimited range since it would also have carried several World Devastators to produce needed supplies. With this ship, the immortal Palpatine would have spread the Empire across the universe. Rumors suggest that the crew would also have been "immortal" as well, thanks to cloning equipment that would have been onboard. Thankfully, Palpatine was not as immortal as he had hoped, and the ship never progressed beyond initial planning before his final death. While some die-hard Imperials wanted to try and actually build it to use against the New Republic, saner heads prevailed and the Imperium remained only a terrible dream.

Have them try and take on some one like the Fourth Empire. An Imperail Terra would give it one hell of a fight.

First something positive:
I like the lines of the ship, it's beautiful and follows the look of the Eclipse and the Sovereign, it's really a well designed fan made ship apart from one fatal flaw:
It's just too big. I wouldn't have a problem putting it at around 30 km or something like that, but this is just rediculous.

Thats putting it rather mildly. Hell the largest fan designed ship (of SW variety) I had seen otherwise was less than 100 Km and much narrower in beam and height.

It's supposed to be a massive long-range mothership for an Imperial invasion of other galaxies. It is roughly comparable to the Yuuzhan Vong Worldships.

100 km max is stretching it for appropriateness. Travel to the nearest spiral galaxies in the vacinity shouldn't take more than six months or so, right? DS could make that. However, they do speak of some bizarre "hyperspace distortion" on the galactic halo's (disk's?) rim that has so far prevented exploration of other galaxies in the novels.

However, IIRC, the Dark Side Sourcebook did say that a lot of the stuff Palpatine had been working on in the Deep Core was intended to help him conquer nearby galaxies once Thrawn had completed the subjugation of the Unknown Regions and it could be fully incorperated into the Empire. Obviously the Rebellion got in the way. So there is some official precedent for this thing, but its still fan uberwank.

Those little blue dots are bigger than the superlaser emitters on the Soveriegn and Eclipse. Wank doesn't even describe this. Self-fellatio, which I believe I used before, is probably inadequete. You're looking, ladies and gentlemen, at the world's first confirmed self-administered ass fuck. <applause>

That works.

All that being said, the look of the ship is fantastic. Better than either the Eclipse or Sovereign. Reduce it to less wankish dimensions, it's a pretty nice fan ship.
