Poetry...seems to be fair with me

I thought I saw a ghost today
But it was only you
I thought I saw a ghost today
More frightening, t’was only you
I turned around and startled
Felt my blood start running cold
A long lost memory, not lost long enough
That still made my heart race,
As in days of old
Then like a deer in the headlights
I examined your face
But I found nothing there
Any emotion seemed gone without a trace
And like one seeing the ghost
Of a departed one dear,
I wanted to weep
But I could not shed the tears
I’d rather have seen a ghost today
But instead I saw you
But if you’d been a ghost
Perhaps then I’d make it through
But no, it wasn’t a ghost
It was only you.

Interesting. What inspired it?

That's really good, babe. Made me sad, but it's very good.

*grin* To be honest it's hard to pinpoint one source...There's a couple, but that's my own fault. A few I can't do anything about, and the others I've no desire to do anything about.

Even if you did kill someone in creative writing I couldn't join the class. If I don't pass Television Productions I'll be stuck here*waves a hand to indicate the school* another semester, and I can't risk that. Although... in some ways it wouldn't be that bad, seeing how I love it here, One can only stay somewhere so long before new scenery is needed.
