Anna was born in Vienna. Her father sold antiques. She went to school and studied archeology. In her late teens, the civil war began. She watched helplessly as her friends dragged her parents into the street and killed them. All because she wouldn't join their rebellion.

She grabbed some of her father's antiques and ran. She ended up in London, where she eventually met Nicholas Tudor. He taught her about the Vampires. Eventually, he asked her if she wished to be like him. She agreed and has become a well respected Ventrue.

In London, she became a leading linguist and archeologist. and was the Ventrue Whip for a while. Eventually, she moved to New Orleans with her coterie and has become just as well known there. She is searched out to go on archeological digs and decipher languages.

Etienne duMonde was the son of a Cajun family, minor merchants who ran a general store. He was well educated for his social class and the time period, attending the Virgina Military Academy under General Lee. When the War Between the States broke out, he followed his idol and joined the Confederate Army.

Etienne died on the battlefield of Vermillion Bayou on April 17, 1863. A Tremere who had been watching the army had recognized Etienne as a highly intelligent person, and a good candidate for the Embrace. When brought back, Etienne was upset, since he knew the voudon stories and traditions, but he quickly learned to cope with it. With his Sire's permission, he became a fortune teller in the French Quarter of New Orleans, and roughly every ten years or so has vanished from the city for a half dozen years and returned looking slightly different, thanks to an independent Tzimisce who owes some favors. He still sits on the Rue St. Pierre to this day, telling fortunes when the right amount of silver crosses his palm. He recently returned to New Orleans, purchasing the house at 1020 St. Ann Street as his own residence.

Background:
Jack Reece was a member of the US Special forces during the Gulf War. He was on a mission to kill an Iraqi official with extreme prejudice. What he did not realize was that he was being stalked in turn by Geoffrey D'Anjou, an infamous gangrel Assamite hunter who had been on a personal cruisade to destroy the clan since he strode into bloody Jerusalem in 1099.

Geoffery chooses his childer from among the greatest warriors of Christendom. (He has a deep prejudice gaainst non Christains including Jews.) In the hopes of turning them to help him in his cause. Those childer that reject him are labeled prodigals and abandoned to their fate. This usually leads to a violent final death as Clan Assamite will do anything to hurt Geoffrey, including slaying his childer.

Jack rejected his sire after realizing with horror what he had become and fled. Geoffrey would normally abandon such a failure to the Assamites but there are two factors that have prevented him from doing this. Geoffrey believes that Jack may be the finest Crisader he has turned in this century and wants him to join the cause and will use all his powers of persuasion to do so. Secondly, Jack is a dead ringer for Geoffrey's eldest natural born child that died of plague before Geoffrey went on Crusade. These two factors have made Jack more like a true prodigal son for Geoffrey who even now stalks him and tries to bend him to his will. He is currently toying with the idea of siccing the Assamites on Jack's wife and children in the hopes that their deaths would galvanize Jack into action agianst the clan.

Jack is currently living in New Orleans where his wife and two children live. He protects them from afar. (Geoffrey imparted at least the importance of the Masquerade before he fled.) Jack is a loner and his renown as a fighter preceeds him. Jack only fights when he has to and he is currently struggling with the beast and the change within him. He is still incredibly uncomfortable feeding and usually enters into fights TO feed.

Within the Camarilla Clan structure he would be regarded as a "neutral" that would best be left alone but if need be he could be pressed into service against Sabbat incursions as he has had many bad experiences with the Sabbat during his travels and has no love for them. Other Gangrel treat him with respect because of his lineage, a fact that irks him.

Any members of Clan Assamite would know precisiely who Geoffrey D'Anjou is and Jack is unaware that whenever he mentions his lineage it marks him for death if within the earshot of the clan. Other than a few fights that he chalked up to bad luck, he has no hatred for Clan Assamite. He does have a deep unabiding hatred for his sire, whom he views as a psycho, despot and wants nothing to do with him. Geoffrey acts like an exasperated father around Jack and always tries to impart some knowledge and "tough love" to his prodigal childe.

Due to an early frenzy, Jack's eyes glow a horrid crimson in low light and he usually wears dark sunglasses to hide this fact. Jack was also embraced with several days growth of beard so he looks a little scruffy.

Alec has never been well to do. His dad (a semi-wealthy french-descended businessman) left his mother (a small time voodoo women) and she worked herself to death more or less by the time he was in his early teens. He's gotten by, just barely. He's a con man who likes ripping off his fellow petty criminals; he's been roughed up a few times but so far stayed ahead of the truly vindictive ones. He's was 27 in 1925.

His love life has been one disaster after another. He tends to go for classy women, usually spoiled and monied. It inevitably ends badly. Usually with daddy trying have his legs broken.

He picked up a bit of the occult from his mother and hung around the voodoo crowd. Basically that's where he learned about vampires and hatched his plan. He decided to get himself sired. He eventually met Anna Bruck in a bar. They fell for each other and the next night he was a newborn Vampire.

Member of old English nobility.
Since marrying a new woman, he became neglected by his father, and the son of his new wife became the family's favourite.
He tried to get his fathers attention by pursuing "unfashionable" things. He pretended to have interest in occult things and thus ventured into old libraries, and dark places.
Yet he didn't get his father's attention, he was fully ignored, even more so now than before. But not by his sire, an old Tremere, considered unorthodox by his fellow Tremere, and proved it since he didn't kill Dachlan, when he slowly became aware of the vampiric world around him.
He put Dachlan to the test. If he would find him, he would sire him instead of killing him, since he didn't want to waste such a mind. And so he became a vampire.
He went with his sire to learn what it meant to be a vampire and traveled with him abroad. Some 50 years later he went back to London and plotted to gain the extensive family's fortune, imposing as his own relative. He lived in London for some time, until his sire was slain in an attack on the Tremere chantry by an unknown force.
Ever since he is out to hunt the one's responsible.

History:
In his mortal life he was a scholar and a man of God, a scripture monk in Constantinople. His rebirth is shrouded in mystery as is much of his life for the first 500 years. From then he became a whispered idiot sevant, his studies not ending but only increasing in his unlife. He is known for his insight and vast knowledge, and would be a vampire of incredible power if not for the madness which links him to his original clan. He dwells in old, unsanctified churchs and surrounds himself with vast numbers of books and holy relics which are his fancy. His body is mortally weak and his social abilities leaves much to be desired. An enigma, he is feared and admired throughout the vampire community.

I've already posted a much more detailed biography elsewhere. This one's shorter.

Alfred was born to a middle class family in the American midwest. He found most of the local society dull, so he spent much of his young life avoiding it. By his early teens he felt perfectly at home in the town's abandoned foundries and breweries in which he whiled away his hours in careless study. In his studies he paid little heed to practcal subjects or vital details. The result is that he knows quite a bit about nothing in particular. In keeping with tradition Alfred left home at 18, heading in a southerly direction.

After joining Alfred slowly came to realize how low his status was. He is currently working on gaining the respect of his elders. He looks forward to the added autonomy that that would bring, which would help him along his task of accumulating useless knowledge for eternity.

Description:Like all Nosferatu, Alfred is hideously disfigured. His nose lacks a nosebone and the flesh that would normally attach to it. The whites of his eyes are yellow and he has no eyebrows. His head is shaped similarly to a fat icecream cone held on its side with the tip cut off. His face slants downwards while his jaw protrudes forward, terminating in a prominent chin. His skin is mottled and rough like aged burlap.
Alfred typically wears a navy blue hooded sweatshirt and dark pants.
