Death Star, the letters home.(Updated 7/23)

This is a fan-fic I'm working on, It is a series of letters home from the Death Star, Executor, and DSII, all by Stormtroopers and officers, to show the human side of the Evil Empire, and to put a face on the otherwise anonymous and faceless soldiers.
The following information was recovered from private letters Imperial officers and soldiers on the Death Star, they are presented here in their entirety as they were originally written.
Dear Derek,
It seems like one captured freighter can ruin your entire day. It's been a few weeks since I was transferred to the Death Star. I can see why The Emperor calls it "The Jewel of the Imperial Navy", this place is massive. I was lucky enough to be on-hand when we tested it on Alderaan. Damn, that was an impressive show. I holo'd it onto a disc, it was incredible. A few hours later, some freighter entered into the system. We picked it up, I felt something funny when I was doing hangar control that day. I walked out afterwards to get a caff, and came back to a locked door after seeing 2 stormtroopers taking a wookie prisoner out, don't ask, don't tell.
I heard that you went AWOL from the Imperial Academy, I hope this isn't true. If it is, please come back, you know how much mother misses you, when the officer told her about it, the news broke her heart. You need to come back, everybody misses you so much, nothing is trhe same without you anymore. I really wanted to see you and serve alongside of my brother "Hobbie", you would have been a great TIE Pilot.
Your Brother,
James Klivan, Traffic Control Officer Hanger Bay 327.
Dear Mother,
I'm having a great time serving on the Death Star, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it from the shuttle, it's even bigger than the Holo's make it out to be. Our deck officer is very nice, and he let us watch the testing of the superlaser on Alderaan, I couldn't believe how powerful it is. I'm sure glad to be on the right side. Admiral Motti was right about us being the ultimate power in the universe. We ran into a bit of trouble with a captured freighter, but they're gone now, and we are off to blow up the hidden rebel base. I was patrolling in the hangar bay when I got to see Darth Vader fighting an old guy with a lightsaber, it was really cool, and Vader killed the old guy, and then that freighter managed to leave right after that.
After we destroy the rebel base, I get planet leave for a month, and I'll be home in time for my birthday. I hope you'll get a really big cake with candles just for me, your little soldier boy, just like you always wanted. I called the bank on Coruscant, and I finally have enough in my savings for the LandSpeeder I've always wanted, when I got back. It makes me happy thinking about it.
Your Son,
Katu Halek, TK-648, 302nd Stormtrooper Battalion.
My Dearest Wife Halda,
It's been too long since I've last written you, and I miss you every day. I hear that little Han is walking now, It really warms my heart to hear how my son is doing. I can't wait to see him, I feel like I don't even know him anymore, I wonder if he'll even recognize me anymore. I've finally gotten my wings from pilots school, and I've gotten my fighter. She flies like a dream, and just as smooth as in the simulators on Corellia. The station is going to head to Alderaan next, and I hope to get shore leave as soon as I can so that I can visit you and Han. I've heard of the station's destructive power that Tarkin promises, he says that the superlaser can destroy a planet. I have my doubts, but it's entirely possible, given at how powerful it is.
I've been assigned to patrol the system for any craft heading in-system, I have to report any unauthorized craft that come too close to the station, where they pull them in and inspect them, relatively simple stuff, I also have to take my group out to immobilize any ship that tries to escape the station without the right clearance.
Your Husband,
Jeb Andor, 78th Fighter Wing.
