A brief tale from Anakin's perspective, as the fires of Mustafar took him.

“Don’t try it.”
Vader boiled with contempt and fury for his former mentor and Master. Who was Obi-wan to suggest that he could not do it?
He leapt from the platform, roaring with rage and bloodlust, his sky-blue saber ready to spill Obi-wan’s blood.
There was a flash of blue, and in an instant Vader felt a searing pain tear through his left arm, and both his legs. He fell to the rocky, ashen surface of Mustafar, and tumbled down toward the lava flow, stopping his momentum with his hands.
Hand.
For his left arm was gone. As were his legs.
The wounds caused by Obi-wan’s saber had singed his flesh, and the surface that Vader now lay helpless upon was scorching his stomach and torso. He desperately tried to take a hold of the ash and dust and haul himself from the heat of the lava behind him, but the dirt crumbled in the grip of his cybernetic hand, and he slid ever closer to the bubbling and furious lava flow.
He howled, he raged, directing all of his anger at Obi-wan. The man who now looked down at him had taken Padme from him, and now had destroyed his body.
“You were the Chosen One! It was said that you would destroy the Sith not join them! Bring balance to the Force, not leave it in darkness!” Obi-wan sounded almost pathetically heartbroken, but Vader did not care. His rage was immeasurable, but it was also impotent now, which only drove him to greater heights of fury.
“I hate you!” He screamed, as the boiling air and toxic fumes swirled around him. His robes began to smoulder, and his eyes bore into Obi-wan, the yellow eyes of the Sith.
“You were my brother Anakin, I loved you!” Pleaded Obi-wan.
The full enormity of what he had done hit Vader. For but an instant, his hold on the Dark Side wavered, and then the fire took him.
What remained of his legs were the first to start burning, and there was nothing Vader could do to stop it. Obi-wan looked away, but did not help, and as the fires began to consume his body, Vader’s anger re-ignited. He cried out, not from pain, even as the flames licked over his face and he felt the air sear his lungs, but from anger, from despair. All of it caused by the man who was now leaving him here, on this nightmarish world, to burn.
