Meh, it reads to me like a lot of Empire wank.

The IR couldn't last a week against the NR if it seriously wanted to destroy them as of the time the Empire officaly took that name, after Pealleon signed the peace treaty with the NR. It reads like Mary Sue to me, this brave and nobel Imperial commander who defeats attack after attack from the NR while only wanting to protect the men under his command....

And asteriods as Star Dreadnaught killers? Please.

If more Sith showed up to the IR and demanded leadership, the Empire would be far more likely to blow their ships out of space then accced to giving them ANY kind of authority. They would probably only TALK to them after strapping them into Yalsimari frames and strip searching them. Seriously, it shows in Zhans duology and some of the NJO books that the Empire had long grown sick to death of Palpitines kind and hated them for what they did to the Galaxy.

Still for all that, it looks like this story has promise for when it will get out of the SW Galaxy and properly into the 40K Galaxy.

Readable, but the author clearly favors SW/Remnant.

Sure, it's got some problems, but if you want real mindless SW-wank, try this crap: http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2742072/1/

Ouch. I almost thought I'd taken brain damage just from the prologue. Shoving an officer into the hyperdrive control station sends the ship on an uncontrolled jump into a black hole cluster like the Maw that leads to the 40K galaxy? :wtf:

BGTom's posts in the forums for the "Empires Collide" story show the guy's little more than the SW equivalent of a Trektard.
