Story Idea: Battletech/Planetside Crossover

So this is pretty much the first time I've decided to really put pen to paper for an audience, I just wanted to get some feeling from you all as to wether it might be a good story or not. I realise that most of that will fall on my skills as a writer. While in the beginning, yes, it WOULD undoubtably be a Clan curb stomp, if you are at all familiar with Sony Online game 'Planetside' you would know that there are advantages that the warriors of Auraxis have over the Clanners. Again, just wanting to get an idea of what you all think as well as some possible story ideas before I start to really flesh it out. The outline is more or less done just need to fill it in. Thanks.
