I realize I haven't updated any of my current fics (Chaos Dozen, Believe, and the Primarch Chronicles) in a while and I felt I owed an explanation when I realized the problem wouldn't be over as quickly as I thought.

Some time ago, my cousin, an amateur hacker, decided to try his hand at infiltrating my comp. Thanks to his antics, my pc is now in the shop refusing to execute most programs (he has since been paid a little visit and 'convinced' to foot the bill for repair).

This, of course, means that all of my fics are effectively AWOL until or unless I get my data back. *shrugs* Sorry folks, I know you want more, and I want to write more, but that won't happen until I get my saved data returned.

Until then...

I hate authors who don't update often or let their stories go on and on without resolution for years. Be that as it may good luck with your current issue and don't worry about it. People here know quality doesn't just magically appear and are willing to wait to get it.

Kuja, you're too nice. I would have beat up the cousin and made him buy me a new comp.

This is the reason I have multiple computers, have a thumbdrive to save my work to, and keep backups of things. So that I can only blame myself for when I don't update in a while. Granted, I don't even write using the computer anymore-I do it all by hand, and polish when typing it up. Don't ask me why. I just use the thumbdrive to keep everything together and so that I can type it up wherever I feel like it.

Tough luck there. Reminds me of the time my laptop turned into a paper weight and I had to get the hard drive copied to get everything back. I will, of course, remain commentless about lack of updating...

I'm sorry to hear that, but I know how that goes, Kuja.

Personally, my problem is that I started my fanfic far too early here - I have much more research to do, and planning/plotting if my idea is going to remotely work.

I lost half the remainder of the story I reposted here some time ago, and I unfortunately wasn't able to recover what I'd done. However, I felt more pleased with the second draft than the first after I'd completed it.

Cold comfort, perhaps - but I do wish you the best of inspiration, and may your revisions make your stories even better than they were before.

I hope that The Final War is updated soon. It was pretty interesting.
