This is my first attempt at a coherent story let alone a fanfic, be brutal.

Chapter 1: Camelot

The ships appeared out of the Supergate and took up defensive positions around it.

‘All batteries open fire’

And so began the first battle of the Supergate.

A torrent of fire came off the ships impacting against the shields, causing little damage. Numerous Death Gliders, Alkesh and F-302’s swarmed over one of the Ori’s ships, allowing the larger ships concentrate on the three remaining ones.

The Ori returned fire. One Hatak was destroyed on the spot, the other three beams hit the Tauri ships that were there. Odyssey, Korolev and Prometheus.

‘Shields down to 50%’

‘Patch me through to the Prometheus and Korolev’

‘Channel open’

‘This is Col Emerson of the Odyssey, we can’t take down one of these ships on our own but we probably can if we target the same one’

‘We came to that conclusion also’ replied Chekov.

‘The Prometheus can’t help you I’m afraid, that first shot crippled us…’

There was shouting in the background and then the line cut out. Static.

‘Arm all the nukes we have and fire on that ship’ pointing towards one of the toilet seats. The ship in question was harassing the Asgard ships, lighting their shields up. The Asgard opened fire on it creating an amazing lighting up the dorsal shields, but they still would not falter.

‘Nukes armed, target is locked’

‘Fire!’

Chapter 2: If You Can’t Join Them, Nuke Them!

(Some Hours Later)

‘Status Report’ Col Coldwell had just dosed off in his office, something he vowed never to do again.

‘We have just come out of hyperspace and are proceeding to the location of the Supergate’ piped the helmsmen.

The Daedalus glided towards the gigantic puddle of blue standing out from the black of space.

‘My god…’ gasped McKay, who proceeded to fiddle with every computer that on the bridge of the Daedalus attempting to find out what happened.

There was a gasp throughout the bridge, debris from at least four Hatak motherships lay there in front of the Daedalus, slowly twisting and turning in space. And that wasn’t even the worst of it. Listing to the left of the view screen was a Daedalus class ship. The Korolev.

‘Lifesigns?’ asked Coldwell, accustomed to battles but not to defeats.

‘Some, very faint though, the radiation from the FTL drive is interfering with the sensors, it looks like they’ve locked themselves into the engine room,’ Gilded the Asgard’s voice over the radio.

‘Beam them out’ ordered Coldwell

‘We are unable to do so because of their proximity to the core’

‘What the hell happened here?’ Surveying the wreckage through the viewscreen, as he walked onto the bridge. Sheppard turned to Rodney, who was fiddling with one of his many laptop sized PDA’s

‘Looks like someone took one hell of a beating’ continued Sheppard.

‘No kidding…’

‘Get a jumper ready and retrieve those crewmen’ Coldwell boomed, attempting to re-establish the chain of command

‘Aye sir’

One of the many jumpers that the Daedalus had in its hanger was being prepped for the arrival of the rescue team: Sheppard, McKay, Ronin and Taylor.

‘Jumper 12 requesting clearance to take off’

‘Permission granted, but go to stealth mode as soon as you clear the hanger.’

‘Roger that Daedalus’

The jumper shimmered slightly as it turned invisible to all eyes, electronic and organic. It flew towards the crippled ship at an astonishing pace nacelles pulsing as if they would overload at anytime. The jumper approached one of the ruined hangers slung underneath what was left of the superstructure of the ship.

‘Whoa whoa, whoa whoa, we are going in there?’

‘Of course we are Rodney, that’s why its called a rescue mission’

‘And how are we meant to breathe in there?’

‘You’ll figure something out’

He was just about to respond when the radio crackled to life.

‘Coldwell here, we have just detected an Ori ship coming through the Supergate, we are moving to engage but judging by the length of the last battle we won’t be able to do anything against them. Engage your cloak and stay in the jumper until they have moved on.’

‘What!’ cried McKay surprised to be this helpless, again.

‘Calm down Rodney’ said Taylor raising her voice

‘Roger that Daedalus we’ll wait until your return’ drawled Sheppard.

***
‘Hallowed are the Ori… submit or face destruction’

‘Launch Fighters, All batteries open fire’

The Daedalus wheeled round and started pounding the lead Ori ship, a ship that looked newer, sleeker and somehow more menacing to the faceless ships that decimated the fleet holding the breach. The numerous railgun shells just impacted harmlessly onto the eerily white shields.

Upon seeing the ships weapons do nothing to deter the ever increasing number of blue shots. Coldwell thought about his options and eventually came to a decision ‘Arm two Mark 8’s and wait for my signal’

‘Missiles armed, target is locked’

‘Fire!’

Two thin white trials followed the missiles as they plunged into the depths of space, some point defence fire tracked them, but the missiles were to fast. They detonated just before the shields causing a cascade of radiation and molten metal to brush against the shields. They held.

By this time faint trials of blue where following the Daedalus on its attack runs, some impacting against the shields, weakening them almost to breaking point. Stations behind him exploded in a sea of sparks and shrapnel. Coldwell was not going to let a glorified toilet seat to beat his ship into a pulp.

‘What other ordinance do we have on board?’ he asked turning towards the gunnery officer.

‘A few more Mark 8’s, the 302’s, the jumpers and three Mark 12’s’

There was a pause. ‘Sir?’

‘Why do we have those on board…?’ his voice trailing, saying it more to himself than to anyone else, Coldwell pausing for a moment ‘Load the Mark 12’s and target that ship again!’

‘Aye sir!’

***

‘Screw this’ said Ronan as he stepped out of the back of the invisible jumper onto the ruined hanger deck of the Korolev, ray gun pointed towards one of the nearby elevators.

‘Ronan please stop’

‘Yeah Ronan is elevators aren’t safe, we’ll have to take the scenic route’ Pointing then leading the way into another door that looked even more damaged than the elevators.

‘Oh great, more walking through another death trap...’ stopping abruptly to run after Sheppard, when he cold no longer see him.

***
‘Gatebusters loaded sir’

‘Helm get us closer to those ships, maximum thrust’

‘Max thrust, aye sir’

‘Missiles armed, targets are locked’

‘Wait for my command’ holding his hand up, staring into the screen, almost burning a hole into it. This lasted for about ten seconds.

‘Sir?’

‘Fire’ letting his hand drop once again onto the plush armrests of the captains chair.

Once again missiles flew through towards the ship, leaving distinctive white trails characteristic of most Tauri precision weapons. Point defence fire tried to destroy the missiles, but the targeting systems had not had to deal with fast flying projectiles.

The Prior on the bridge of the Ori ship Origin looked confident; a fleet of the heretics’ vessels had been crushed by just four ships, with the loss of only one down, another severely damaged in the process. He watched the battle from the command centre on the dorsal side of the ship. He was commander the pathfinder of the Ascendant class of vessels, a smaller, faster ship than the ones that had crushed the Asgard/Tokra/Jaffa/Tauri fleet at the Supergate but lacked the front mounted city levelling (uber) main gun.

‘Target that section of the ship’ commanded the Prior with a voice befitting that of the Ori themselves, pointing haphazardly through the glinting shields of the Daedalus. He had no idea what he was pointing at; the will of the Ori would help him, he thought. He could see that three trails of white were approaching the ship, he could not help but wonder, Why do they resist the path to enlightenment and hope to prevail?.

The Mark 12 naquadria enhanced nuke was originally designed to destroy gates, hence its nickname ‘Gatebuster’ but it could also be used like the Mark 8’s to pulverise enemy ships. But the Ori didn’t know the destructive firepower of these weapons but were about to find out.

As before the nukes detonated but this time they detonated, sending shockwaves and the accompanying radiation and heat into the front and ventral shields of the Origin. This time the shields failed.

Colwell stood up admiring what he had just done, then came back into the real world, and shouted ‘Fire at will’

If you have ever seen the nBSG episode ‘Redemption Ship Part II’ you will have some idea what happened next.

Railgun shells lashed the unshielded hull of the Origin causing many internal explosions as the crippled cruiser tried to fire back with its dwindling supply of active and usable guns, causing only minor damage to one of the engines of the Daedalus.

‘They are trying to retreat back through the Supergate’

‘Nuke the bastards’

This was where the Mark 8s came into their own, one after another detonated on or near the hull of the Origin. One of the Mark 8s caused a breach in containment of the Origin’s powerplant sending it back to where those bastards came from. The lightshow was on a par with anything out of a Star Wars or Star Trek movie. Fantastic.

***
‘Ronan, there is no one hear apart from the trapped crew’

‘Something doesn’t feel right…’ raising his gun towards the next door, covering it against any possible intruders or stragglers.

‘Of course something doesn’t feel right, we are walking through a ghost sh…ip’ Rodney stared at the thing he had just met around the corner, it returned the gaze.

They were humans but with odd looking staff weapons, but with them was a Prior…

‘Do you embrace the path of origin?’ He challenged.

‘Okay… lets see if we can go round them…’

‘Those who reject the path are damned for all eternity.’ Raising his voice, making the ‘soldiers’ around him stand and point their staffs at Sheppard.

‘Frags NOW!!!’ ordered Sheppard, taking out two of his own and tossing them (without pins) towards the Prior and his minions, before jumping away. Another two grenades soon followed from Ronin. The resulting explosion shook the area and killed the Prior, who was caught off-guard by the odd looking spherical objects.

A shout came down from the corridor ‘Who the hell was that!!!’

‘Lieutenant Colonel John Sheppard sir… and his team, is that you Mitchell?’

‘Yeah it’s me, what are you doing here anyway?’

‘I think I can answer that’ replied Jackson stepping out from behind the bulkhead, ‘You came from the Daedalus right?’

‘Yes’

‘We need to get back to Earth, now!’ interrupted Col Chekov.

‘We know that but…’ Sheppard stopped mid sentence, when Mitchell was raising his p90 towards him. He was worried. Why is he doing this? His question was soon answered when streaks of blue light passing him.

‘Get back, I’m closing the doors!’ shouted someone in Russian and THEN English.

A door behind them was closing, Sheppard was too far, or was he? He ran towards them. He didn’t reach them, neither did Mitchell.

‘I held them here to let you through!’ shouted Mitchell as he let off a burst of automatic fire, downing another two grunts.

‘Sorry’ replied Sheppard sarcastically; he threw another grenade in the direction of the dead bodies, cutting off the attack for a few seconds.

P.s: can someone tell me the class of ship that came through the Supergate.

P.s.s: does anyone know the firepower of a Hatak and the O’Neil class, so I can make this a crossover when I have fleshed out the story a bit more. What I want is Assimilated Priors and Kull Warriors :kill: , and maybe 302’s vs Tie fighters.

P.s.s.s More on the first battle of the supergate coming in the next chapter

I'm not really sure where you are going with this fic. All I've read so far was a slightly altered version of the battle at the end of season 9/beginning of season 10. Try cutting between the SG verse and the ST verse, that way the crossover is not unexpected when it happens.

Right now your fic reads like a Stargate AU fic. I would suggest explaining why the Daedalus and Prometheus are at the battle, given that the Prometheus was destroyed in the episode "Ethon".

Of course, I am not exactly the best person to ask regarding bad Stargate crossovers. This could still be good.

The dialogue needs better representation. I can relate some of the sentences to who they are spoken from but other times, it seems to be a toss-up of who said what. You should also use " instead of ' as it'll be easier to see when the dialogue begin and end.

Placing the Prometheus in the battle is pointless in your story as you had it disabled immediately and they weren't there at that point in time to begin with in-universe.

You should flesh out the battle in "chapter one" as it seems they managed to destroy one Ori ship in the process. If you're going for an alternate path with the Prometheus living to see this battle, this is a good chance to bring it out here. Try and bring some excitement because we love details!

As of now, the writing has the feel that it was just slap together in an instant without further thought given to it.
