This is my second attempt to do a crossover fanfic. I decided to jump right into the action instead of building up. It will be a DC/Marvel/nBSG/SW and eventually ST.

And if the prologue sucks, it is because I am no George Lucas.

And yes, I purposely screwed up most of the history for the purposes of the story.

Chapter O "Age of War"

Legends abound throughout history of beings that can do incredible feats well beyond the range of mortal abilities. Most of the modern world dismissed these concepts as pure fantasy, along with the idea of the lost continent of Atlantis or life on other worlds. But in the years following World War I, science made major leaps forward in understanding the human mind and body. Scientists discovered that humanity was on the verge of making a major leap up the evolutionary chain when the first specimens of Homo superior were discovered, more colloquially known as mutants. One man was even able to make life were there was none before, giving birth to the first modern superhero, the Human Torch. As more of these beings began to appear, inspiring normal humans with the greatest of all powers, intelligence and heart, joined ranks with the powered people to make the world a better place. Most of these heroes concentrated themselves in the United States, usually in the cities of Gotham, New York, Boston, New Orleans, Chicago, and Los Angeles. But with dark clouds brewing over Europe, the heroes united to defend their homeland from all threats, creating the very first supergroup, the Justice Society of America. But the United States government, fearing the enemies overseas were growing to dangerous, began to produce weapons to defend the free world. Their greatest success came in 1940, with the empowering of the living embodiment of the American Ideal, Captain America. Other heroes then started to appear, a strange Atlantian in New York calling himself Namor and the Amazon Wonder Woman in Metropolis. But these were only the first of many yet to come.


By the beginning of the Second World War, most of the hidden powers of the world had begun to expose themselves to the world, albeit at a slow pace. Atlantis, Themyscria, Valhalla, and several non-terrestrial powers came to the decision that the outside world was better left in the hands of the Western Allies and formed a secret alliance to ensure that this would be the result of the world. Queen Hippolyta and Prince Namor actively aided Great Britain and France, even going so far as to commit troops to the ill-fated Battle for France. The Asgard, however, were only able to divert Axis forces into Norway, holding the Nazi war machine at bay and to prevent Soviet intervention. The Alien nations of Oa, Sh’iar, and New Genesis used whatever forces available to keep less scrupulous nations from aiding the Axis and seizing the strategic planet and enslaving the Terrans. The Kree, who failed to join the alliance, were wiped out by a combined force from Apocalypse and the Skrull Empire. In order to save what was left of their civilization, they did what the Kryptonians had failed to do decades before hand and sent their youngest to the still intact Allies, mostly New Genesis and the Allied Powers on Earth. They were to be cared for and trained by the local inhabitants and watched over by the Allies themselves while their forefathers threw themselves against the entire enemy force in a final suicidal gesture. Every last Kree gave their life in one final battle that wiped out the entirety of the Skrull civilization, preventing them from ever moving against anyone ever again.


This is not to say that the Axis was without help. Hitler managed to make contact with Darkside himself, who was taken aback by the evil human’s resemblance to himself. Hitler uses this alliance with a major alien power to force the Soviet Union and a paranoid Stalin to join the Axis powers, which forced the formation on the non-human Allies and their alliance with Great Britain and France. Spain barely remains neutral. Another secret power joins with Axis, believing that total control of Earth is the only way to secure their survival after being banished from their home world fro rebelling. The Cylons give Hitler access to powerful computers and missile technology, not to mention millions of drones and assault craft to maintain his control over Fortress Europe, that would allow the Nazi to hit anywhere on Earth with their soon to be developed fission bombs. The traitorous Loki even manages to sabotage the Asgard attempts to send their forces into Europe and almost leads the enemy forces into the main hall itself, but fails due to the timely arrival of the expedition under Thor to repel the assault, but he arrived too late to prevent the death of Odin at the hands of Darkside’s minions. The Japanese, who had helped form the core of the Axis, conquer island after island in the Pacific, using advanced air tactics and alien weapons to beat the British back into India and crush almost all resistance in China, final forcing the Flying Tigers to join up with the US retreat into India without the aid of the United States.


The Earth Allies were only able to hold the Nazi war machine at bay until the critical date of December 8, 1941. The United States, after the mauling of their fleet at Pearl Harbor, commit themselves totally to the utter defeat of the Axis. While not able to fully commit their ground, air, and sea forces until spring of the next year, they do send their own special weapons to aid the Amazons and the Atlantians to defending the Allies and breaking the blockade of Valhalla. They commit their own superheroes into the fray, led by the seemingly invincible Captain America and the newly formed Justice Society of America. Captain America takes command of the Invaders, a force of British and American supertroops and metahumans. They single-handedly crush the blockade around Valhalla and with the aid of the sympathetic Thor, the new King of the Asgard. They help Patton and Montgomery capture Rommel himself in North Africa. Union Jack commands the first wave of troops into Italy while the Human Torch and Namor cut off the German retreat into Central Europe, destroying German morale with the massive war walkers and battleships of Atlantis. In the Pacific, the Japanese are forced to abandon island and island as Wonder Woman and a brigade of Amazons back up Admiral Nimitz and General Macarthur along with Major Mapleleaf and Green Lantern. The ETA, ExtraTerrestrial Allies, finally cutoff the Germans totally from the forces of the Cylons and Apocalypse, which would eventually force Darkside to reconsider his position on Earth and even his withdrawal from Earth. The aliens kept any large ships from getting into Earth space and prevented Basestars from bombarding Earth.


By 1944, the Allied forces under General Eisenhower and Queen Hippolyta, now called Wonder Woman by most of the Allied nations after a comment made by President Roosevelt, launch Operation Overlord, the massive campaign to free Europe and begin to liberate France. While Monty and Patton attack at Normandy, Generals Bradley and Clark assault the Balkans and liberate Greece with the aid of the now redeploy Amazons while the Atlantians aid Macarthur in his return to the Philippines. The Japanese unleash genetically engineered monster as they loose ground and the island territories to confound Admiral Spreauance and the marines under his command. But even this only delays the advance on the United States back across the Pacific.


These victories by the Allies did not mean that the war was anywhere near close to bringing an end to the war. Hitler still controlled the USSR and had eliminated Stalin after a failed coup that had killed Goring, Himmler, Gourbles, and Admiral Raider. Hitler used Cylon shock troopers to maintain his control in the occupied nations and was preparing his final trump card against the Allies, a fusion bomb and a way to deliver them. However, due to actions taken by the JSA and the Invaders, the plot to destroy the Allies was delayed by six months after several key facilities were destroyed.


By 1945, the Axis seemed doomed. General Zhukov managed to rally the Russian resistance in northern Russia and was close to liberating Moscow with the aid of Asgard and Allied forces. France was fully liberated by February and northern Italy by early March. The last actual free parts of the Soviet Union that had rebelled after the death of Stalin were beginning to advance against the Nazis. Premier Khrushchev, commanding from the new Soviet Capital of Volgograd, defeated wave after wave of Nazi and Cylon forces using advanced tanks and tough determination. The new Russian government established itself in the north and east and firmly committed itself to freeing it’s people and avenging the millions of dead Russians that Hitler and Stalin had murdered in their mad schemes for world, and even galactic, conquest. The new Soviet Union in the south committed itself to the survival of communism and had held off the Nazi advance into the Middle East and Central Asia after rising up against Stalin in 1942 and barely holding by using chemical weapons and savage guerilla tactics to bleed the Nazis and Cylons for every inch of ground.


To counter the Allied counterassaults, the Nazis began Operation Dresden. Allied high command was desperate for information as the Nazis appeared to pour almost all of their resources into this final plan. The Soviet/Russian offensive ground to a halt at the Russo/Polish border and Patton’s push failed to make any real headway into Germany. Brandley and Hippolyta’s forces were forced to slug it out with the remainder of the Cylon’s troops in Austria, even after Darkside, who had taken command in the east in 1944, abandoned Earth to continue his search for the Anti-Life Equation. Hitler had come to realize that at best, the German Army could only hold the Allies at bay, so Dresden proceeded as the last hope of the Third Reich for victory. Thus Hitler, continuing his march into utter madness, prepared to launch a series of suicidal attacks against the Allied Armies to buy time for his new secret weapon. Field Marshal von Rundstedt commanded the attack against General Patton while Field Marshal Yodel did his best to stem the arrival of the Russian juggernaut in Europe. Both plans met with massive casualities and only held off the Allies by one month. But this did not matter the crazed Hitler. He had failed to carry out the final solution after the Captain America, the Human Torch, and the Flash Liberate the death camps and captured most of the SS officers responsible for the atrocities in the camps, along with most of those who had sent the orders down the chain. Hitler would not go down life his commanders. He, even with his dark world that he had created shattered around him, would strike at the very heart of the Allies and force their utter destruction. Hitler had been building up his nuclear forces for a full year and had been unable to deploy them for fear of his own health and that his vision for the planet would be lost. However, the results of Dresden had finally given him the ways and means to destroy the Allied powers and strike at the alien enemy with near impunity.


Our story begins as the Allies begin Operation Dropkick in early April of 1945, an assault on a secret Nazi fortress in the North Atlantic. American, British, Free French, Russian, Amazonian, and Atlantian forces mass themselves to take out the new superweapon at Hitler’s disposal, one that could change the course of the war in a single week. Tens of thousands of troops, hundreds of ships, thousands of planes, and hundreds of superheroes would smash this threat to freedom, whatever the cost, and then finally bring down the Nazis and their allies all across the planet…

And so it really begins...

Chapter 1

April, 1945

Like most nights over the North Atlantic, the sky was filled with thick cloud cover, nearly blanketing out all of the stars. The seas, while not roaring, were not truly quiet either, with swells as tall as a man, smashing against the sea walls of the hidden Hope Islands. Nestled between Denmark and England, the islands were small and their rocky surfaces had prevented either the Asia or Allies from occupying them, at least until late 1944, when the German navy began serious working on building bases on and under the island. The base had been constructed in secret using stealth subs to bypass enemy detection that had been retrofitted with special digging and construction equipment. Men were reassigned from the front and scientists flown in. They were delivered via parachute due to the fact that the islands couldn’t have an airfield for reasons of secrecy.


As the German troops tried to maintain themselves and keep boredom at bay, scientists labored inside on a weapon meant to crush the Allied powers and hand the Earth over to space-born fascists.


A young corporal on patrol shivered as the cold winds wrapped around his body. The twenty-something soldier had been an artist before joining the army. But his once calm hands now trembled from the bite of the cold in the observation tower.

I know I shouldn’t, he thought, but I can’t stand it anymore. He reached into his heavy coat and pulled out a crumpled pack of cigarettes. He brought the pack to his mouth and sealed his now pale, bluing lips around the butt of the cigarette. He reached for and old lighter and fumbled for ten seconds to light it. He breathed in the warm smoke and let it fill his lungs with heat. His shift was almost over and he was gladdened by the thought of just being indoors. He looked forward to going home in a few weeks to victory for his homeland.

The soldier then looked out amongst the rocks and the waves, as he had done for the past several months. He listened to the howl of the wind and the roar of the waves, not expecting to actually hear anything, but to keep his sergeant from chewing him out. After looking out one last time, he bowed and shook his head. He turned, threw out his cigarette and turned to reach for the door. But as his hand approached the door, he began to feel the tiniest of vibrations. He brought his head ninety degrees to the right and looked out towards the sea.

The corporal’s ears started to pick up a strange hum that he had not heard in many months. He knew that the sound could only come from one source, a propeller attached to a plane in flight. His mind raced to find a reason for the sound. There were no scheduled flights coming into New Dresden Base for at least a month. Then the most disturbing thought crossed the mind of the young soldier, The Allies have arrived. The radar had been out for a few hours due to a mass of lightening strikes. His train of thought was broken by a strange whistling. Little did he know that the object creating that sound was a 16” shell fired from the battleship USS Louisiana.


“This is Eagle Leader to all flights, begin drop runs,” said the pilot of the lead B-25. “Major Winters, you and Easy Company will follow me in. Sergeant Barns, you stick close to me and the Major here. And Bucky, don’t do something stupid this time. I may not be able to pull you out from under a Tiger tank this time.” The pilot was a massive man, as large as the toughest boxers, but with not an inch of extra weight to slow him down. He was one of the strongest men on the planet, with a heart and mind to match. He had been the perfect choice for Project Rebirth, and not a day went by that Colonel Steve Rogers didn’t thank God that he had been given a chance to become Captain America. He had the pull of a general, the mind of a professor, and the sense of humor of Bob Hope.

“Cap, are you sure we can pull this off?” asked Lt. Nick Fury. “I mean to say that Dick and I have some of the best boys in the army, and you know that were no cowards, but when Sgt. Rock and his commandos start to worry, we all know to watch our collective asses.”

“Nick, it doesn’t matter how any of us feel. We have a job to do. If we fail, then we will surely die. The only way that were getting off this island is with the weapon in pieces and Red Skull dead.”

Major Winters tapped Fury’s shoulder, signaling him that there was no point in arguing with the Captain. Both men have served with the hero since D-Day when Cap jumped into Normandy with the 101st and the brave men of Easy Company. Both men turned to look out the window as the hooked up the lines for the jumped. They saw B-17s and B-32s releasing troops from their retrofitted fuselages. Thousands of men from nearly every Allied nation were landing all over this island at that very moment. Democratic Russians were storming the beaches along with Atlanian marines. The Amazons and Asgard were blasting the hard points and defensive positions with the aid of the Allied fleet. British, French, and American paratroopers were jumping out of thousands of planes to take the main entrance to the entrenched facility and cut off reinforcements to the beaches. They could not get close enough to the window to look down and see the largest single fleet in human history. Carriers, battleships, cruisers, and landing craft took the beaches while Allied attack planes and subs fired wave after wave into the underwater dock to put fear into the Nazis.

Fury’s head turned just in time to see the side doors open and the exit light turn green. One Screaming Eagle after another leapt from the converted bomber to attack the fortress. Cap waited until ever man was out to carry out his particular mission before joining up with his men.

“General Eisenhower, this is Captain America, our boys are hitting the ground now. Looks like General Arnold was right. Thor and his people jammed up the Nazi radio and radar and the Amazons are perfect fro hitting AA and shore batteries.”

Ike listened to his top point man very intently. He was sitting in the CIC of the USS Lexington, personally commanding the battle. With Patton in France, Bradley in Austria, Clark in Italy, and Monty in the Low Countries, Ike and Zhukov were the only two men in Europe that could carry out this joint assault.

“Commence phase two. Tell General Zhukov that the paratroopers have severed the island in two.”


“General Eisenhower has paved a road for us gentlemen. Let us stomp the fascists into Hell with the treads of our tanks. Order the 12th and 89th tank regiments to move forward to cover the 4th and 34th division’s attack on the facility,” said the former Marshal. After throwing the Nazis out of his country and forming a new democratic government in Northern Russia, Zhukov welcomed battle over the managing of his country. Sitting down in his chair, he let his aides buzz around him while he considered his next move. “It all rests with the man in blue and his Invaders.”


Captain America did not even flinch when the first set of tracers hit the B-25. He was dead set on bringing his plane to a lower altitude. Rogers was already at 100 ft and falling so as to better cover his men as he also approached his objective. By the time the second flack burst hit the plane, Cap had fixed the plane on it’s final course and set the throttle to max speed. “This is Eagle, signing off. I see you on the ground boys,” he said to himself as he jumped clear of the plane at 25 feet. He placed his shield under his feet and aimed for a rock outcropping. With a loud clang, he made contact and skidded to a stop right in front of Fury. He turned back in time to see the plane collide with the main gate of the fortress and bring down the outer gate. “And for my next trick, I’ll pull Betty Garble out of my hat,” he joked.

“Glad to see you could make the party sir. We though you would never get around to knocking on the door and asking the Jerries if we could come in.”

“Nice to see you made it in Union Jack. Nick, go get Winters and the rest of the company to meet me at the main entrance with the rest of the Invaders. I saw the 82nd and the rest of the 101st getting ready to move to draw out the rest of the enemy so we are still on schedule. Let’s get moving.”

“Aye sir,” replied Fury.


Thor looked down upon the field of battle and thought silently to himself that the Valkyries would be quite busy for the next few weeks. He had already smashed the radar towers with Mijor and was looking for another suitable target for his mythic hammer.

“Well big brother, I knew that you couldn’t pass up an attempt to avenge father, but I thought you preferred to do this kind of thing alone,” said a voice in a taunting fashion from behind Thor.

“Loki!! You will be made to pay for your sins,” roared the thunder god. The 7’ tall Norse brought himself to bear against his traitorous brother. His hammer raised high, he charged. The first swipe missed by less then and inch. The second and the third met the same fate. And with each successive attempt to hit his brother, Thor was pulled farther and farther from the battle.

“Now let’s see how well those humans fare against my friend’s toy without my brother to trash them,” whispered Loki.


Captain America arrived at the rendezvous point right on time to meet Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and the rest of the deployed Invaders and the JSA. Nick Fury and Dick Winters were close behind with two platoons of Easy Company and Sgt. Rock’s boys. Rock walked up to Captain America and whispered something into his ear, and Cap smiled with relief.

“Okay boys, listen up. Intel reports that whatever is being readied in there involves a single rocket and a lot of those new bombs that we keep hearing about. We think that the Nazis are trying to get a vehicle into space that can just hit or cities. The only reason I can tell you this now is that the Brits and Sgt. Rock just took out the detonators and the bombs in the weapons locker as the were being brought in. Our task is to destroy the rocket by blasting the main fuel pumps inside the mountain. Jack, Dick, and Nick will make for the arms locker and try to buy us time. GL, Wonder Woman, Bucky, and I will make for the control room with Rock and his men. The rest of you will help the Russians and French take and hold the docks. Now let’s move out.”



As the men moved out, Alan Scott walked up to his friend. “Steve, do we have a back up plan if the shit hits the fan or am I just going to have to try and bring this down like I did that jet in Warsaw?”

“You always have to bring that up, Green Lantern. If you had covered me like you were supposed to…”

Bucky was cut off tremors from the ground. He looked down to see the Earth below him split open. He barely jumped clear of the hidden doors before they smashed him into the ground. From the artificial crevice rose a massive gun emplacement. With a loud clang, the massive turret finished it’s rise and brought itself to bear against the heroes.

“MOVE!! MOV…” Captain America was cut off by the twin 88mm firing. All of the heroes were thrown through the air by the explosions of the shells. The men inside the turret began to cheer at the final death of the great Allied heroes when nothing could be seen of them after the smoke cleared.

The main gunner rose from his chair, fists raised high at their triumph. As he moved back towards his chair, the turret began to shake violently. With a loud series of bangs, the turret was freed from it’s place and lifted high in the air. “What fools you mortals be,” uttered Wonder Woman as she threw the emplacement into the sea.

“Thank God she is one our side,” said Bucky as he rose from the ground.

“Alright, enough playing around. The other units are already inside the facility. Were loosing time. And good work your Highness,” said Cap.

“Thank you Captain,” replied Hippolyta in a regal voice.


“Mien General, Allied troops have breached the mountain and Russian troops are moving in from the docks. Our men are being overwhelmed by sheer numbers.”

“Be calm Commander. We are minutes away from total victory. They think that taking away our munitions will stop our victory. They are dead wrong. Prep the reactor. We will still burn New York as planned,” said the general. “Captain America will die in my hands. Red Skull will have his revenge!”
