Sergeant Johnson nodded, "You can all gear up here, the general asked me to remind you all to memorize your GDO codes before setting out, remember you cant carry any note of them with you."

With that he turned and left, leaving the team to finish sorting out thier gear.

Connar checked over the list for a moment and nodded in satisfaction before he approached the bag and began to suit up quickly and efficiently. First was the clothing. Then the equipment slotted into the front of his kevlar vest. Then after that he applied the rest of his gear and stowed it into the bag. He lifted that and drew it on until it rested lightly between his shoulders.

To finish, he lifted both pistols and holstered them, the berreta by his hip and the socom into a slightly more concealed holster on his back under the pack. Finally he lifted the Mp5 and checked to make sure it was loaded.

He smiled and turned to his team.

"for those of you with short memories, the Gdo code is 7790465. Do not forget it, this code is your life line to home on the other side."

Angelina hefted her equipment pack over her back, and made sure all of her weapons were properly secured. She quickly checked the laser sights on her M4, then nodded. "All right then, lets move out." God, here I am feeling giddy again.

He grinned

"Supposedly the first time is the worst. Alright, Sg-4...lets do it."

He lifted the mp5 and carried it loosely by his waist as it hunt from his shoulder by means of the strap. Calmly he walked out through the blast door once it opened in the gate room and assumed a position before the ramp leading up to the gate. If he was nervous, it wasn't showing.

Leah readied his gear and hefted the pack onto his pack, making sure his firearm was secure in it's holster before he followed the two out into the gate room. He nodded.

"It doesn't seem so bad.."

Before you all, the gate begins to spin, the voice from the control room above.
"Chevron One, Engaged."
"Chevron Two, Engaged.
Chevron Three Engaged..."
A few moment later, it was done.
"Chevron Seven, Locked."

A blue light filled the gateroom as the event horizon washed outward then stabalized.

General Hammonds voice came from the control room.
"You're cleared to go SG-4, Godspeed."

Connar stood before the gate, awed for a moment before he regained his cool. He took a light grip on the rifle by his side and nodded slightly, moving foward to stride up the ramp. He chuckled lightly.

"What a rush."

He was first through the gate, slipping into the swirling maelstrom of 'liquid'

Leah gulped silently to himself but strode up and nodded

As you look around there seems to be something different compared to the photographs you saw at the SGC, Only Vasquez realises that a good deal of the foliage has been cleared away along the 'main road' of the city leading away from the 'Gate. It feels hot and humid as the slight chill of the stargate itself wears off.
