so, I generally go about the world not giving a damn what people think. I am who I am, and if you dont like it, fuck off. very simple.
I have recently aquired a femme friend, and the rules are a touch different. iirc, one doesnt go with such an uncaring attitude, so I tend to be a touch less bloodthirsty, debate style. not making blatant statements in the demand for a fight, and so on.
as this is my girl, I am told honesty is good, so I ponder telling lots of little heart felt ponderings, what Im thinking at any given time, and so on.
but then I consider the impact of said statements (do people really want to know whats going on in my head?) and tend to bank such impulses.
which leaves me with a very confused conversational style.
any of you have this problem?

All the bloody time.
Actually, it's usually the men rambling at me. I think I radiate a sucking silence![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)
S'not a problem. It shows you're comfortable around her.
But why ask us? Go ask her! *pokes*

Complete and utter lie.
Whenever my wife asks what I'm thinking about it's something like "Could King Ghidora actually eat an At-At? What if he mistook it for a mate? I wonder if anyone's ever dropped 25-cent feeder mice off an overpass into rush-hour traffic. How colorful would that be? I wonder if that psycho girl I knew in High School really did like me or was just using me... If we get a pet, it better be a dog. No fucking cat in my house!"
Apparently these are all the wrong answer.
"I was thinking about how much I love you" works better.
It's best to allow your more...harmless quirks show through. It's cool to be unique, not to be eccentric/psycho.but then I consider the impact of said statements (do people really want to know whats going on in my head?) and tend to bank such impulses.

Or you could just construct an interface personality for yourself, like playing a more interesting character in real life.

One time, near the beginning of what would end up being a yearlong relationship, I was sharing a Tender Moment with Brunette #3, and we got one of those silences where you just look at each other, presumably to marvel at each others' astounding beauty, experience the simple pleasure of being with each other, et cetera. I suppose I got that look in my eyes I get when I'm thinking about something--not just idily, but REALLY working over a thought. So, Brunette #3 asks me, voice soft and sweet with the sound of pure, fresh, new love, "What are you thinking about?"
To which I reply, sincerely, "I really like cheese."
Note to all: that is not the correct answer.
