Ranma 1/2 versus First of the North Star
So? Which side wins? Have it just like the DBZ versus Ranma threads.
Now I've only watched the movie of FOTNS. But I say Ranma could win against what I've seen. True the main guys technique is more leathal. But I don't think he matches Ranma in speed and overall skill. He can't perform one of those finger of deathg things if he's already been blasts into the sunset.

In the manga and TV series they face a guy from Rei's school that can copy any martail arts technique he has seen once. And proceeds to kick ass after duplicating the techniques used by one of Ken's "Brothers".
Unknown, ken usually gauges someone's power by playing punching bag for a while, and learning their technique and figuing just how to inflict the most damage through his North Star Di-Mak technique.
Rei on the other hand uses Southern Cross, his Chi is entirely focused on himself, allowing him to travel at very fast ground speed, and his body becomes as strong as stone, while his fingernails are as strong as diamond. (sharp as diamond too.)

Ken's got a technique comparable to a few of Ranma's (no HSH though), however unlike Ranma he only has to score a single hit to win.
I remember chi-blasts. One against a guy who turned his body into steel... But even at the end the chiblasts didn't seem to have a raduis and strenght of Ranma's blast...That went though an island.

I pointed out DBZ arrogance factor over in space battles and they came up with the BS arguement that you can't kill DBZ character's because they always wish themselves back....
Fucking dumb asses.

Provided of course Kenshiro's predominately pressure-point based style will work on aliens. Of course against Krillen, Chi-Chi or or the other human cast members we get the traditional splat.consequences wrote:Ranma will probably lose, unless he can get a crash course in his enemies fighting styles before the fight, even then, they only have to get lucky once.
He does have a much better shot than anyone from Dbz though, they would try to block or laugh off the first punch, and then explode.

Pretty much everything I remember seeing him use his techniques on was human at some time or another. And I don't believe any difference in power points was mentioned.consequences wrote:Kenshiro's techniques have worked against things with much grosser physical differnences than that of a Saiyajin. I think it was in the Graphic Novel "Night of the Jackal" that he used his techniques successfully on a monstous humanoid, at least 30 feet tall.
