Now will you admit that your original announcement was screwed up rather than frickin' defending the goddamn hypothesis until its ground into the dirt and hit with a Death Star? That was not funny. I don't know what the big deal is. Neither of us would ever support such a move in our right minds. If a few people like Rogue 9, who already didn't like me to begin with, now hate me, fine; I don't give a shit. We didn't think anyone would seriously buy it, but we did feel a little guilty over certain people being sure that they were on The List and starting to say good bye early, though.

Oh please. Your conclusion was correct, but every point you brought up in your analysis could be answered. You think I was going to quit in the middle of a great prank because you threw a "logical analysis" at me that didn't actually prove it was a hoax? Sea Skimmer had the answer on page 1 and nobody bothered to listen to him or even follow up on it.

Anyone who could have seriously thought that I would actually allow something like that must not know me. On the other hand, it's true that the perpetrators of this little joke tried a bit too hard to convince people it was for real.

Let's all just relax and drop the recriminations, OK? For the people who took it seriously, ask yourself how you could have been taken in by such an obvious falsehood. For the people who are flaming those who took it seriously, ask yourself how such behaviour is even remotely constructive.
