The White House rang CNN and said that the clip was a fake- that's what CNN originally said. They then denied the White House called them when they retracted the lie. Sure.
It's a clip of a kid bored absolutely damn SILLY during a stock Bush speech. Yawning, scratching, going to sleep, looking at the watch, etc, aired on Letterman in a segment called "Invigorating [or Devigorating] America's Youth". That's all- shocking stuff. That's the huge scandal that some guy was paid by the US taxpayer to ring CNN and lie about.
How much of an uptight fucktard do you have to be to lie about being a boring speaker? Or to try to slander a late night talk show host who made a joke about you? If I (personally) was the subject of a joke on a late-night talk show, I'd be thrilled.
