This wealth needed redistributing among those worse off in the city and this was something Erhart could at least do without being overshadowed.

"We aren't late, are we?"
"No, you would have just given the dragon more opportunities to successfully squash one of us, and then we would have had to lever its corpse off of yours."

"We've more problems than our past mistakes." Malkamar spoke softly. "We've all made them. Let's try and focus for a moment." The Netherese sat down, drumming his fingers together. "We're in about the best position we can expect, considering the circumstances. We'll need to enhance the tower against magical assault, but conventional armies can't hit us now. I think the forces of good will be pleased with this."

Edward paused. "This is why I plan to make a trip to Halruaa. They will be forced to oppose the Empire of Shade soon, and a working Weave Mythallar will provide them insight. I beleive a deal can be struck."

He looked irritated at the idea of bringing these creatures back again but nodded slightly, murmuring the command word lightly 'Take me to the Prime materiel'. In that moment, a gate way to the Elemental plane of fire opened. The heat emanating from the portal was obvious.

"Go!" He lifted the pendant and threw it to Jax, ducking in through the portal as he lifted up the shield resting against the wall. It was hot...but...it didn't seem to effect him.

Jax steeped through after, seeming uneffected by the heat.

He waved the wand, piles of rocks and lava took the form of 10 of the unruley queen replicators. Only instead of the normal dark-blue metal, they had a red sheen and seem to glow from heat. They quickly scurried off.

"Now to repead that with the Ice, Shadow, Positive, Earth, Water, and Air planes."

++a few minutes later++

A portal opened in the tower, and black tendrels of shadow started to flow out. Jax and Erhart lept through, and the portal closed.

"Phew, that was the last one."

"It better be. " He muttered, Looking a mix of cold, frozen and bruised from having to deal with the Earth elementals that showed up at their intrusion.

He looked over to the group and nodded slightly

"With your permission....I will take a detour to Cormyr and see about raising some resistance to fight off the armies with...The Purple Dragon Knights and the War Wizards will be most interested....or so I hope..."

He nodded slightly

"Thank you my friend...If you can, try and maintain the portal...I have no way of returning."

He adjusted the suit of armour and sorted his cape. He was bruised but suitable looking enough. With a quiet discontent, he stepped through the swirling portal, willing himself to avoid looking at either side of him as the palace slowly materialized before him. He smiled briefly and looked around

"Home."

He waited for the guards to rush at him for the sudden intrusion."
