Final Four!

Post by Mayabird »

Oh yeah, it's that time of the year. The Final Four (college basketball for those of you who don't know). We have my Yellow Jackets of Georgia Tech facing Oklahoma State and Duke facing UConn on April 3rd, with the winners of those two games facing off for the national championship.

Predictions? Rants? Random comments? Duck fook?

I think we all know who I'm rooting for. 8)

Rant: You can send our player back now. He would have had plenty of playing time at Arizona if he could have waited a little longer. :? It doesn't look like he was contributing that much for GT anyway.

I'm kind of rooting for anyone but Duke. After that I would like OSU slightly more than GT but either would be better than the UCon or Duke.

I am rooting for UConn or GT. I hate Duke and I hate Ok State more.

*pokes thread with a stick*

Oh come on, people. There has to be someone else here with a comment to make. Even if it's just, "Quoth Fark.com, 'Duke sucks.'" Dook bashing spam is perfectly acceptable. Spelling the school "dook" is perfectly acceptable.

Oh, and Tsyroc? :P

What, it's not over yet?

Oh that's right. The NCAA, the group that supposedly is there to protect the student athletes, is draging this out for the best tv time.

Go Uconn!!!! I was a freshman at Uconn when they won in '99 and after the victory the place erupted with mobs of drunken idiots screaming and starting fires.

Actually, compared to the interminable NBA playoffs, the NCAA tournament breezes by fairly quickly, as do the games —two 20 minute periods as opposed to four 15 mn. periods and deliberately staged TV timeouts.

The Final Four tournament is the only time I can ever really get into basketball. The rest of the time I couldn't give a toss.

I have to root for Duke because I hate UConn so much. I feel slimy.

Oh, I agree completely.

I was just a little surprised last night to see that the Final Four won't be played until this weekend. It seems like forever since we found out it was going to be these 4 teams, but maybe I'm just ready for it to be over with.

I am not looking forward to the twin wastes of time that are the NBA and NHL playoffs. Neither sport should be finishing in frickin' June.

I might be interested in basketball if I wasn't already so into lacrosse. Sorry, babycakes.
