First; I didn't say that the Jews came off looking worse, I said that the Roman's didn't come off looking worse.

Second; at times I have to wonder if we saw the same movie.

'The Jews' in The Passion were displayed as being involved in a conspiracy to kill an innocent man, since he threatened their power and position.

'The Romans' were seen to try and exhaust every avenue possible to try and avoid actually killing Christ. But their hand was forced to crusificiton by the elite Jews who could threaten open revolt if their demands weren't met.

I know what you are thinking; but look at what the Roman soldiers did to Christ! They brutally whipped him and tormented him and mocked him! You would have a point, but didn't you notice a pale, bald headed woman with a black cloak during all the bad stuff? The impication was obvious; these Romans were pagans and under the devil's influence, they didn't know better!

But the Jews, who were 'God's chosen people' refused his 'love' and his 'son', without the Devil's influence.

Didn't it strike you as odd that disiplined Roman soldiers all of a sudden went into 'blood lust' mode when all they were meant to do was punish him? Even the officer was appalled by what he saw.

Seems that Allah is a bit more creative than his Christian counterpart. Either that or he had a stunt double budget rivaling that of a Jerry Bruckheimer movie.

maybe we didn't... I think I went into it with a built in bias... I heard so much of the "Its so anti-semetic" that when I didn't see it, or at least not as much as the critics saw, I dissmissed all of it.

Yes, but she wasn't with the Temple guards when the made Jesus bungee without a chord, nor was she in the Temple when they denounced him, or where they beat him. And she wasn't there when the plan to bring him in was paid for.

The elder Jews were potrayed as being totally aware and in control of their actions; the Roman soldiers were potrayed as posessed.

Indeed. I guess the Second Coming is actually a plot twist. No one's gonna expect him to come back!
