The closer you get, the reason why the keep is called the Frozen Hand becomes apparent. Icey pinnacles surround the tower, 5 of them, carved to resembled clawed fingers. The keep itself begins to look like a dagger being held in the 'hand'. The whole structure is a feat of engineering.

"HALT! State your names and business!" a shrill voice calls out, apparently out of no where. Suddenly, your feet are incased in an icy coating, preventing you from moving. A smoky face appears in front of you, leering.
"Names please."

Jade nearly steps out of the ice, uneffected by the spell. Lance remains stuck.
"I am Jade, my companion is Lance."

The androgynous face glares at you. "Been a very long time since I've seen a witch..." it says dully. It reshapes into the face of an aged man wearing a crown. It coughs slightly, then begins a dull speech. "Welcome to the Keep of the Frozen Hand. I am King Jenurax, builder and first lord of Everska. My soul remains here as a guardian, watching the south road and protecting the Frozen Hand from all assault. I can see that you are no threat, so you may pass." The face dissapates, and the ice covering Lance's feet melts away.

After another few minutes of walking, you arrive at a massive iron door set into the side of the tower. The door opens with a loud and shrill creak, revealing a dark interior.

Siting in the shadows was a what looked like a man, though there seemed to be a tail wrapped around his feet and he carried with him what looked like a staff made of metal

A wizened old man enters the dark room, uttering a single word, lightning the torches lining the walls in an instant. "Sestriviar, I presume? What are you doing in the entrance hall?" he says. The man then glances over at the newcomers. "Ah, visitors. I am Ulbrech, keeper of lore for the Frozen Hand. And this is...Sestrivar. From the south. At least I think..." he rubs his head.
