I'd go with an ISD. I wouldn't know what to do with the space in the Executor or Home One, and there's a nice hangar that can accomodate my luxury Blockade Runner. If I had one, there would still be a lot of space. I would remove all but 2 HTLs and replace them with a luxury hotel for honorary guests, such as myself, and my cat.

Enlightenment class MRSU (original universe; not Wars). Think Culture GSV except without the Mind.
Howedar: are you sure you wanted to link to that ugly, untextured, image of your ISD variant? IIRC you've got at least one much better shot of it

[3] Admiral Giel's Star battleship. Once again looks cool and has a shit load of point defenses..
[4] Mon Cal Viscount/Defender class battleship

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I'd buy myself a Mon Cal cruiser, unless I feel like going on a killing spree in which case only an Eclipse class SSD will do. I like the look of the Mon Cal ships more than the Star Destroyers, but that's just me. In any case I'd also have my Millenium Falcon parked in the hanger so I can go on quick little cruises around whatever planet I've stopped at.

The Capital D was the personal ship of Marc C. DuQuesne from E.E. "Doc" Smith's Skylark Series towards the end. I've got a detailed analysis which I'll probably post in the "Other Sci-Fi" boards eventually, but basically the end result was that, one-for-one, it could smack around most anything from the Culture pretty nicely. Plus, all you had to do was think, and anything you wanted could be made, something akin to ST replicators, only not as limited or stupidly designed.
Plus, with the projectors on that baby, I could be sitting all the way over in Andromeda and send a real-time holographic image to the surface of the Earth that Voyager's Doctor would have killed for.

Time Travel was one of the few things Skylark never really touched on. It did cover the Fourth Dimension, which resulted in some simply nasty little weapons.NecronLord wrote: Can it produce tech that is more advanced than it. As for it being able to produce tech that is more advanced than it, actually, yes. Using fourth-order projectors and a planet for raw material, DuQuesne and Seaton created the Capital D and the Skylark of Valeron, respectively. Both of which are over 1,000 km in diameter, and are fitted with multiple fifth and sixth-order projectors, as well as plenty of other nasty little surprises. So long as the mind behind the ships knew how to build it and had the raw materials, it could probably be done pretty easily. Just to give you an idea of the power of the projectors:
Fifth Order projectors used a Neutronium Lens to focus the beam. One early Fifth Order projector, used as a weapon, was capable of accurately laying down 7.8 petatons at over 200,000 light-years against an evading target.
For the record, the Capital D at one point destroyed over 15,000 planets in the space of a few minutes. This was while it was doing a "fly-by" of a Hostile Galaxy. Enjoy.
