Not my point at all. MKSheppard is suggesting taht i dont care about American lives when i in fact do care very much. He's the one talking about they joined the military to die, not me. I was just saying that i dont like this either way and would've liked to have avoided the whole conflict. But as we cant now, we have no choice but to fight and survive.

I think 18 is lamenting the civilian casualties. If he's crying about soldiers dying in war, he's gonna be heartbroken when he finds ouyt there's no Santa.

What haphazard? We planned it for months, and were winning battles with 100:1 casualty ratios. What more do you want?

I try to avoid outright conflict of any kind. And i detest war because of what it brings in terms of death and suffering. If something other than taht was implied i didnt intend for it to be.

The war was planned for months but there were no plans for the postwar period other than "American troops will be welcomed as liberators, Iraq will set up a right-wing pro-American government and we can go home yay just in time to coronate Emperor George I as the second Emperor of the United States." None at all.

And as for what i want: i want for thsi to be over and for people to stop dying for this war, but that wont happen for a long time. I'm not some nutty pacenick, but it bothers me when any soldiers or civilians are killed, as i simply detest war.

I am sorry for those who lost family members in Iraq. I find that to be relevent. I'm also sorry for those whose relitives are statione din Iraq, as i can imagine how it feels to have a loved one in a war zone like that. Thats all.

I'm going through the list and I just realized.....

My commander is dead....Lt. Col. Kim Orlando...He trained me...at Ft. McClellan...oh shit...this really hits home...the CNN webpage sucks not..the photos drive it home...I feel sick
