Mandalorian vs Klingon

Post by Kreshna Aryaguna Nurzaman »

OK, both are reputable and 'honorable' warrior races (well at least the Klingons CLAIMED to be such). So what if:

* A Klingon and a Mandalorian slug it out in hand-to-hand combat? (No jetpacks!)

* Still a duel between the two, but this time they're using full personal weapons typically used by their race.

What happens next?

while the klingons come off as great warriors in Trek, that's only because everyone else in that universe is incompetent. the Mandalorians pw|\| the Klingons hardcore.

Please guys, I'm expecting more creative & *gory* scenarios like Jango Fett cutting Kahless appendage piece by piece using his own Bath'leth (or whatever)

For the second scenerio, all the Mandalore has to do is immobilise the Klingon and shoot him, hit him with a rocket dart, or simply set him on fire.

the mandalore fires a blaster bolt clean through the forehead of a charging klingon that has his bat'leth drawn out, foolishly refusing to use his firearm, who then promptly falls over and has his brains leaking out all over the floor?

[Trek devil's advocate] But the mighty Klingon warrior will just cut the grappling cord using his sacred Bath'leth and cut the Mandalorian's head like Mace Windu in AOTC! Can't you see? [/Trek devil's advocate]

This is very one sided. The Mandalorian will own the Klingon in both scenarios.
Perhaps a better choice would be five klingons vs one mandalorian.

The Mandalorian has full body armor complete with hidden weapons. The Klingon has.. funny looking and somewhat awkward bladed implements. I wonder who wins

Which Mandalorian are we talking about here-- movie Mandalorian (Jango/Boba Fett), or Mandalorians from the Tales of the Jedi comics? Those Mandalorians weren't human... humanoid, yes, but I always had the impression they were somewhat different (although I will admit I remember them only dimly). IIRC, the TotJ Mandalorians were about human-level in strength and didn't have much armor to speak of... but they were deemed very good warriors and were pretty formidable against even Jedi of that time period.

I suppose either way, Mandalorian pwns...

As YT300000 said, Canderous Ordos regenerative ability lies in his special implant(and its a friggin good one 4/round.)

Ohh... but it seemed to me like every Mandalorian also had the same regeneration... but it's been a while since I played the game so I'm probably wrong :)

OK, after Klingon-bashing session is over, I wonder whether there will be reasonable pro Klingon arguments:

- In unarmed combat?

- In hand-to-hand (melee weapons) combat?

- In full personal weapons combat?

Anyone?

What kind of arguments are you looking for? Rumours of their superior strength are simply unfounded. They have never demonstrated any particular speed or agility or technique; in fact their moves are rather ponderous compared to the kind of lightning-quick moves you would see in, say, a martial-arts tournament. And their tactics with weapons are simply abominable.

It's easy to dismiss it all as Klingon-bashing but there's a reason for it.

There was not a single hint in the entire game the they regeneration ability of Canderous is caused by an implant IRC.

why should there be any pro klingon arguments? from what we've been shown of Klingon fighting capabilities they're rather slow, awkward and . . .well, not so smart compared to most modern day martial artists of any moderate competency. or hell, even basic policemen.

given that some mandalores can take on Jedi toe to toe, the klingon doesn't stand much of a chance any way you slice it.
