They're jumping to Joyous Gard still. No one's autoed your fleet.

Oh, OK. Yeah, now I remember when you moved a portion of your fleet.... well done. I would still like clarification on the type of FTL drive, though....
I use Adamist-style wormhole-ish travel. A series of short instantaneous hops.

Would it be to late to join......possibly be "found"(discovered) on lonly planet by someone coquering planets.

I am a friend of Alyrium Denryle he could vouch for me, but we as friends in no way will impeade me of haveing my own conflict with him. As he knows i have no problem trying to hand him his own ass on a silver plater at times.

Why invade?
I'll always opt for orbital bombardment.

Because we don't have the firepower levels to perform a BDZ and orbital bombardment short of that doesn't get the job done without a ground sweep.

I'm taking the ringworld. Once I upgrade it with my tech, and supply it with those new asteroids i'm mining, it can mass-produce cap ships.

Granted, that's a HUGE investment, but it'll help the economy. Good ol keynenist economics.

Laz, you're just presuming that you're curbstomping the best defended area in the Covenant without even letting Tycho have a say. That seems a little... off to me.

Rogue, when you say Farpoint do you mean my planet, or is there some other Farpoint I'm not aware of?

You have a planet named Farpoint? Should have read more carefully... I have a military listening outpost (secret and none of you know where it is) named Farpoint.

Tycho says he has 10large capships defending it, I have twice that, plus support craft and fighters. And we came ready for just this situation. As for the defenses, they are badass, but that's what seige weapons are for.

His solar-flare weapons would be threatening, if I coudln't just hyperspace out of the way.

Read his OOB again. He has two fleet divisions at the ringworld. Its the others that have one. There's twenty capital ships there.

OH, my bad. In that case, we are on equal footing, but i'm better prepared, and I've dictated the terms of the battle.

You still wont curbstomp him. He has equal forces as well as planetary defenses.

No no, i'm outside the range of his fixed defenses, using long ranged weapons. Read my post.

If he comes out with ships to get me, then we are on equal footing, but i'm in an allready prepped defensive position, ready for him. Plus, as indicated by the special armored missles, the fleet was readied for just this mission.

I might take some losses, but victroy is still mine.

But we don't, I use long ranged tracking missles and energy weapons, he uses non-tracking HE warheads.

if you are settling for a long range missile duel against his fleet, and whatever defenses he has, he is under no obligation to come out to you. Tycho himself has control over his fleet, not you and as such there is no reasonable way for you to duel with yourself, which is pretty much what you are doing. You are acting, and saying how the fleet would the hostile fleet would react (which is not yours I might add) and then deciding that the defenders have no possibilities at all (which is BS in my eyes.)

As for the armored missiles bit, they are either larger than normal and thus you have fewer of them, or they are not as badass as you think. Modern Point Defense is designed to deal with missiles and fighters, so unless these are fighter sized missiles packing a tiny warhead and a LOT of armor, massed point defense should deal with them. Even then, you are still a bit fucked since larger-armored missiles means easier targets for point defense and likely fewer missiles than normal.

I do not believe that any player should be able to unilaterally claim victory, without the consent of the defending player. Yeah, sometimes waiting can be frustrating (it was that shit that killed the last STGOD) but it has to be done. Unless you want someone to pull this shit on your defenses?
