An Interesting Hybrid

Imagine Crossing an Immortal from the Highlander Movies and series, plus a vampire from the Interview With The Vampire movies. I would think it would be a daywalking, extremely fast, with very remarkable healing properties, that could take quickenings. Hella Powerful!!

That was an Idea that I had a while back and I decided to put it in a Highlander fanfic idea I had for a while. Well what do you think of this type of hybrid? Any others?

I don't think you could create such a hybrid. Rice's Vampires are sterile and Immortals can't die. So you couldn't create such a hybrid.

No I'm not talking about procreating the two. But Say it can be done. I'm still think how it would be done.

A pre-immmortal could be bitten, dies, and transforms into both an immortal and a vampire. Remember in Highlander a pre-immortal is completely normal until he dies the first time. Then he stops aging and gets the associated abilities.

I don't know the actual process that a person becomes a vampire in Rice's stories. So my idea is just a guess of what could happen based on my understanding of Highlander.

Perhaps such a hybrid could be produced by a vampire biting a pre-immortal. If everything goes right, the bite would both turn em and trigger eir immortality.

Well Just B/f Death A human drinks the Blood of a Living Vampire and becomes one. Plain and simple.

Sounds like my Savant Psychic Vampires: Created by surviving some great horror, they feed off the psychic energy of other's and gain power by killing other Savants. They also gain power by drawing the residual energies of places where lot's of people have died (Battlefields, Walking the trail of Tears, living in areas full of fear & crime etc.) What's day light, no problem, drain all your experiences by locking eye's with you. TK instead of strength, and enhanced enough perceptions that they might as well have superhuman agility.

I read a pretty good fanfic once where Richie (from Highlander the series) was turned into a vampire (Kindred: The Embraced [/i tv show] and he stomped major ass for awhile because the quickenings he had absorbed (5 at the time) made him the equivalent of a multi-thousand year old vampire. In the story his immortality eventually kicked in and he went back to being a normal immortal but he was kicking the shit out of any other vampires he encountered.

It wasn't Ann Rice style vamps but it was an entertaining story.

Read a book years ago called "Vampire Junction" by S.P. Somtow. In it, the vampires are basically limited by their own beliefs in what can harm them, IIRC. Really good book, despite the title, you should look for it.
