just saw "The Fifth Element"...

Post by Elheru Aran »

OK, i was watching TBS this afternoon... of course i've got better things to do but i don't really care cause it's all schoolwork :P ...

Anyways, said movie ^ was on. i caught it... and well, i must say, that was one awesome movie! So the sci-fi kinda stunk... it was still one heckuva great story, and I loved the lines... like, "Anybody else want to negotiate?" :D

I was wonderin' if anybody here's watched that movie... I have to say i found it extremely cool... nice effects too, and of course, it's hard to not say a movie's great when it's got a sketchily dressed babe (orange hair notwithstanding, she was still a babe...) in it!

I've seen it a couple of times. Should maybe get around to buying it one of these days.

Milla Jovovich is just divine...

Not really much to show for though. :( ~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

Yeah I could do my ironing on that.

It is a good film, Willis is one of my fave actors and he does a sterling job in this.

I would say no to Milla, btw.

Love the movie, seen it a dozen times. Bought the DVD a month ago. I like the blue chick Plavala Guna's singing.

Fun movie all around, and Gary Oldman excels as Jean. Batpiste. Emmanuel. Zorg. 8)

y'know, i figure reason i liked that movie so much, it was how everything clicked so well in the writing... the characters really fit together well, and the actors were just about perfect for the roles. Admittedly, Milla could've done with a bit more tits, but is nothin' perfect...

i also absolutely loved the way the characters interact-- the priest oh-so-awed by Milla, Bruce the skeptic gunman with his soft spots, Gary Oldman one of the most awesomely intense villians I've ever seen on the screen... man, if I was gonna rate this movie, i'd give it the full hundred percent. Definitely the best i've seen in a LONG time...

Very good movie. "What the hell are you thinking?! Going around screaming like that!!" Pretty much the best line though is "Anyone else wanna negotiate?"

Like has been said, the movie just clicked very well with the right lines, right actors, right everything.

Milla was perfect, and IMO she has a perfect body as well.

Quite simply one of the best edited movies i've ever seen, they way the cut the different scenes into each other. Luc Besson should make more movies.

i'll second that. Ruby Rod was absolutely hilarious. plus the fact that mila jovjovich is absolutely hot makes the movie a big plus. The special effects weren't too shabby either. Storyline in general was only so-so imo, as the whole save the world from the evil alien force is a tad cliche, but everything else was great and more than made up for it.

Though one thing I really love about Fifth Element is that the future isn't clean.

It's dirty, greasy, grimy and still filled with many of the same concepts of today, packaged in a better way.

Though if Mc Donalds ever gets cashiers that look like that...I'll start eatin their fries again. :)

Who else liked that scene where MJ as Leeloo kicked around those aliens like rag dolls?
