The Punisher
A very excellent movie, it's the 1980s Scwharzenegger (TM) movie reborn
again in all it's gory glory complete with cheesy one-liners.
It's been a while since there was a movie like this, and several scenes in the
movie actually had me wincing, unlike Kill Bill Vol 1, which was sort of comic
booksy.
From Rotten Tomatoes.com:
"For those who can stomach two hours of brain-dead brutality, the film has more laughs than most comedies."
"A ridiculously violent revenge story with no redeeming value."
And best of all it only cost $33m to make, so either way it's going to
at least make a profit somehow, no CGI, no bullet time, no nothing
essentially, but lots of 1980s violence
again in all it's gory glory complete with cheesy one-liners.

Good, I need something to get rid of the bad taste that Kill Bill 2 left. I must be one of the few people who thought KB2 sucked ass. I wanted to see people get killed, but there were not enough deaths & blood and that left me feeling unsatisfied and pissed.
Brain-dead brutality? Ridiculously violent revenge? I like the sound of that. Got a rough idea of the bodycount in the movie?

Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

Alright, that's it! I'm taking my GF to see Punisher tomorrow. She missed out on Kill Bill 1 so I'm making her watch a nice guy movie with lots of blood & violence.

Lot's of Ennisque Humor. The Russian is awesome.

On the whole I liked it. I thought the build-up at the beginning was a little long and the background music score was as store-bought as they come but the action and the laughs were great. The fight with the Russian made the movie.

Damn skippy. Saw it Friday night in my dress whites (a bunch of us left our dining in after it was done to go see it).Lonestar wrote:Not Russians. The Russian.Lt. Dan wrote: Mmmmm...mindless violence. And Russians? Hell ya!
Man, that Russian fight was just so wrong it shouldn't have been funny. Yet it was. Extremely. I tell ya, if it weren't for the neighbors, it would've lost half it's comedic value IMO.
Oh, and GO TAMPA!

The movie was so good that I forgot what happened in Kill Bill Vol. 2, not that I remembered in the first place. Blood, violence, killings, and sick humor, the popsicle scene was too funny! And the Russian was just comedy gold!

The Punisher was AWESOME!!! I loved it. I never really got into the comic, but this movie was bad ass.
