Not anymore there ain't, they upped the price and give you a Northstar V-8 instead. Thankfully they look a lot better than the 94-2002 models with the incredibly fugly lower body plastic cladding, I feel sorry that your family owned one when they could've had a stylish Buick LeSabre.muse wrote:I think there's a supercharged engine available if you want more power but I'll have to check to be sure.Enigma wrote:Pontiac Bonneville at around 28K

Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

My car can easily do 0-6 in 4.5 seconds. Hell, my legs can do that.phongn wrote:Yeah. Some guys got it going 0-6 in something crazy like 4.5 seconds though

Fuck, that isn't that hard to do (assuming you meant 0-60 ). The damn engine compartment is big enough to fit an 8.0L Viper V10 with a pair of turbos which will give you somewhere in the neighborhood of 1000hp. I've seen them do the same thing to mini-vans.phongn wrote:Yeah. Even with 300hp and gobs of torque, it's still not what I'd call fast.

I think the real problem are those 2.5L WRX's getting 280hp+ out their engine - it just seems, well, kinda, big and heavy (2.0L on the Japanese STI). Of course, the WRX does have that turbo...Glocksman wrote:Add your own later, though 300 HP out of 4.6 L isn't too shabby.
If recall, the X-Type has some serious reliability problems, and even then it's just a Ford Mondeo with 4 wheel drive - although admittingly a Acura TL is on an Accord chassis. I don't know, but if you want something American I think the CTS a nice mix - not too big, but a more reliable bet than an X-Type. I'd avoid the C-series on principle - a car demanding such a price preminum should not be giving you a 3-value per cycle and one overhead cam ! Never mind their dropping reliability.
G35 will give you lots of car at a reasonable price, and its RWD is good. The IS300 should be getting replaced pretty soon, and same goes for the 3-series, though both are good.
I personally am not interested in larger, heavier cars because I don't see the point in making a bigger car that needs a bigger engine to run it at the same speed...
Jags are quite possibly the least reliable cars ever produced, save perhaps Yugos. Certainly they're the least reliable as a function of price.

The FIAT the Yugo was copied from probably fits in-between the two.Howedar wrote:Jags are quite possibly the least reliable cars ever produced, save perhaps Yugos. Certainly they're the least reliable as a function of price.

The only good thing about a Jaguar is that it never needs an oil change. Though that's because oil never stays in the engine long enough to get dirty and worn out . . . on the account that it's usually sitting in a puddle underneath the Jag.Howedar wrote:Jags are quite possibly the least reliable cars ever produced, save perhaps Yugos.
