New Bike

Post by jegs2 »

Some of you know how much I've whined for a new Harley in the past. Still have the old one, but I'll be selling it soon ($4000 OBO for anyone interested). Here is the new one.

While I'm not a fan of noisy bikes, which is what a Harely is to me, I hope you get the bike you are looking for. Everyone should treat themselves now and then.

Here is the bike I'm selling now. Have had it since '95, and it's been pretty faithful. The bike is frighteningly powerful for a Sporty, but then it is a converted 1200, vice the 883 it was born as. The S&S Carb also gives it some kick. Made up a few fliers, so hopefully it'll sell within the next few weeks.

Used to experience the occasional moron in a four-wheeler pull up next to me at a light and rev his engine. I usually sneered at such ignorance and let the driver take off by himself, but every once and a while I'd engage the bike's hyperdrive and watch the pathetic four-wheeler disappear into a dot in my mirror.

Oh, and I didn't make it clear, so the bike with me on the first post is mine (well, actually it's the bank's but who needs the details?).

Is a bike expensive to insure?

It's less expensive than a car (liability), but then a bike doesn't do much damage to other vehicles in a wreck. Age makes a difference too. Young bucks will pay more than codgers.
