Does Tyderium mean anything?
I was wondering does the word Tyderium have a meaning, as all the other Imp ships I've seen have English names, and apparently Darth Vader means Dark Father in some language, or is just something that sounds good?

Isn't it Tyderian?
At least that's the way I remember Admiral Piett saying it.

I've never heard of any trivia regarding that name

Tydirium, and it has no meaning it looks. Unless it's some old greek word. Lucas used Japanese and Greek myths to help shape Star Wars.

Perhaps Tydirium is the name of a Roman city??
After all, the suffix -ium is not only used for materials, and there were Roman cities with names such as Byzantium, Viroconium, etc.

Dutch IIRC. Just like Karelia was a former Finnish independant republic.Gandalf wrote:I was wondering does the word Tyderium have a meaning, as all the other Imp ships I've seen have English names, and apparently Darth Vader means Dark Father in some language, or is just something that sounds good?
