This time, we get to play with the UFP.

Marina is President.
Big Steve is head of the MoD
Iceberg is CNO
Cmdrwilkens is in charge of the Starfleet Marines
Rob Wilson is in charge of S31
Kynes is in charge of the Ministry of Information

Saxton & Mike are placed in charge of Starfleet Corp of Engineers.

Random competent people from SD, SB and ASVS are placed into positions where they'll do well.

This takes place before DS9. What happens?

The entire Galaxy class is scrapped for starters. Other ships begin sporting swarms of point defense mounts and huge racks of nuclear missiles.

The Wormhole is collapsed or mined and DS9 has its civilians removed and replaced with more weapons and power generators. Cardassia gets overrun in a couple weeks followed by the rest of the quadrant within a few years. At that point The Federation begins building swarms of anti matter warhead missiles with cloaks to use against the Borg.

A ground army on the likes of FOTE is also formed.

The whole communism thing is out the door in a day.
