Is anyone following the the SW: Rites of Passage?
The comic introduces a new warrior race who manage to hand two OR Jedi Masters and a padawan there collective asses. There speed, strength and reaction times are on par of better than the Jedi, who they easily match, and overpower. The Jedi actually turn tail and runaway more than once.
The Morgukai fight with long handled maces (about as long as an extended light saber). The weapons are constructed of Cortosis Alloy which can easily block and deflect a light saber. The weapons has a stun globe on on end and a retractable vibro-blade on the other.
There armor is also made of the same material, allowing them to block saber blows with arm and shin guards. In all the shots shown there is no damage to the Cortosis Alloy after resisting the lightsaber.
The Design of the warriors is very cool looking, and their armor looks almost like Samauri armor.
If any of you have read the series, please share your thoughts.

Cortosis Alloy however good it is aginst Light-sabers as noted is increably bad aginst KE, its like Volcanic sand, in VoTF the simple Bodyweight of Mara and Luke is enough to crack it meaning that a Jedi who has a normal Virbo Blade would beat them quick easily

according to TPM novelization Obi-Wan exchanged force-thrown object attacks with Maul, so this is a canon jedi tactic.
If the armor is fragile enough to be shattered by throwing your body against it, the a few thrown rocks etc. should do just fine.
So the jedi could have defeated them without melee, just as a sith could, without going 'out of character'.
So why didn't they do this? As usual: Because they where just too ... ummh, tactically unsofisticeted

The Cortosis alloy must have different variations because in this series the Morgukai's armor take falls and impacts from force pikes and walls easily. It's in no way brittle as it is seen here.

Ahh, Mara and Luke where burning throuogh Cortosis Ore not Cortosis Alloy, probably the reason for its increased strength right there
