Terror Arrest: Old Trafford Bomb Plot

10 People with 'strong islamic links' were arrested in Manchester last night, the BBC site musn't have updated at time of posting, but I'm listening to local news and the police chief of Manchester just released a short statement or something, confirming that there was a plot to explode devices at Old Trafford, on saturday coming.

The ground fills every match, with 75,000 fans, in quite an enclosed sapce. This is scary stuff, I've only heard this as breaking news on a local but usually accurate radio station, if its true im sure i the coming hours we'll hear more.

I work part time, match days at Old Trafford as a catering assistant, I don't care if these arrests have been made, I'm a little paranoid about going in on Saturday now.

btw, for those who might not know, Old Trafford is the home stadium of Manchester United Football Club. Saturday is a premiership match against Liverpool FC.

Not even a terrorist plot could make a Liverpool match interesting.

Seriously though it is good to see the police catching these terrors suspects, despite what some people think about fighting terrorism on a law enforcement level.

If Greater Manchester Anti Terror Unit really have foiled a plot of this scale, I must say I'm pretty damned proud. And pleased.
