The MOST Powerful Sci-Fi Universe?

Post by Mr Bean »

Just Pure Numbers and Size, Tecnology and what not, along with Capability

And a With and Without Superweapons

IE If you thought B5 was the most powerful but say the Sun-Crusher from SW could romp them sorrrly then post both the most powerful WITH Superweapons and without

Superweapon is defined as anything Planet or System Destroying

Xeelee and the builders of the Excession, followed by the Culture.

The Silver Surfer's universe. Galactus is a bad-ass dude.
marvel universe.

galactus has demonstrated the ability to teleport whole galaxies across vast distances, and absorb whole multiverses..

has a ship the size of a solar system..and also possess an extremely powerful weapon called the ultimate nullfier.

not so powerful is thanos..
but when weilding the infinity gauntlet.. hes almost unstoppable.

though theyre still peanuts when compared against the living tribunal..

Yeah, probably. After that, Xeelee, then Excession builders and Culture.

Downtimer from Baxter's Manifold series.

They collapsed whole universe just because the humanity in it doesn't turn out the way they though it should (they are human themselves though). They hop around the multi-verse jump-starting humanity's evolution and developement in each one.

After that, Marvel Comic, and Excession, followed by Xeelee and Culture, etc.

I don't read/not into Marvel comics and haven't read the Manifold series (most of Baxter's work frankly went spiralling down after 'Titan' but that's just my personal opinion), nor have I read any of the Culture novels, so my vote would go to the Xeelee; master engineerers of the universe.
What have the Xeelee got going for them? Well, the starbreaker handgun, Nightfighters, Bolder's Ring, the Xeelee construction material, the Sugar Lumps and other associating tech. Hell, as for super weapons, anything the Xeelee used can potentially be a planet destroyer/star breaking device.

Oh but then again, you can't bring up the Xeelee without bringing up the Photino birds can you? And in the end, unfortunately, as powerful as the Xeelee were, the Baryonic lost to Dark Matter...Oh well, maybe the discussion should also focus on the Photino birds...but they work on a slow and steady time scale and with the infinite patience that is probably incomparable to most science fiction and sci-fi universes.

The Last Question's AC.

Not a civilization, persay, but a computer, the last in the long line of computers, the one that was first asked The Last Question, and which finally found the Answer.

It restarted /everything/ after the final end of reality.

'And the AC said 'Let there be light.

And there was light.'

Another for the Time Lord's here... any civ that has mastered time travel, and the tech behind the Tardis (bigger on the inside than on the outside, and the explanation for how is great.

The Docter gets two boxes, one bigger than the other and holds them up asking which is larger. obviously the larger one, then he places the larger one at the other end of the room and the smaller one near to his assitent and asks which is larger. She points out it's still the same one because objects at a distance appear smaller, the doctor says yes, but what if you could be at both places at the same time, Both have the size of the object as it would appear at a distance but the storage of it's real size... The Time Lords have achieved this huge break in the Law of Physic's... and the Tardis was an old machine, prone to malfunctions....

Even if they were the most intelligent species in the multiverse, they'd still be crushed like ants by the Culture, Xelee, Blight, Timelords, etc.

Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I can't remember the specific race name but had a weapon that connected every sun in the universe and caused one to supernova which started a chain reaction that would kill almost every living things in the universe.

How could destroy the time Lords, if even one survived... (I.E the doctor) he could go back in time and prevent your race from ever existing. Also remember that each Timelord has multipul lives, you would have to kill them many times!!

This universe.

Because people here have created all those other universes along with all their superweapons and such, and our writers can manipulate the events in other universes to take place completely the way they like to.

Whether or not we are a sci-fi universe, though, is up to debate. However, if we assume that there are aliens more advanced than us somewhere (which would seem logical, if the universe indeed is infinite), then I believe this could be classified as a sci-fi universe.
