One solution would be to have 49 states seceed from the union and reform in the USASW United States of America sans Washington.

Well in my case, Washigton state, Oregon, and good old California secede and form the WCS (Western Coastal Alliance)!

hmm, they let the south africans, and the breakaway states college age kids in, but they won't let our Kiwi, South American, and South Korean college students in to work in Yosemite. Why do I get the picture that a kid from Belfast whose a card carrin UVF or Seinn Feinn bastard could get a work visa under Herr Bush no problemo.

Damnit, I have a good friend in Maryland, there are quite a few people there who would rather die than be part of New Bushonia. If we do do this, then at least have leave a small interim so that all the sensible people can leave the state.

If we do secede though, I'm guessing that Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michegan, and the northern quarter of Illinois will quickly become South Canada, quickly forming alliances with the friendlier nation to the north, and giving them free beer and cheese.

Oh, by the way, if the Patriot act does get renewed, I'm certain the conversation on this thread would probably be considered insurgency/sedition/terrorism and we can all expect visits from the nice men in dark suits and darker cars. I've only got a two hour drive from Canada, what's your safety net?

My current location and citizenship, which should be adequate until the Bushpire decides that we're not American* enough. Hopefully by then China will have decided that we're Chinese enough to have some interest in us so at least we'll be treated to nice fireworks before suffering our painful deaths.

*By American I am reffering to Bush's vision of what should be considered American.
