"3,000 dead" in North Korea train blast...
Moderators: Alyrium Denryle, Edi, K. A. Pital
The ticker on my local news station is claiming about 150 dead and several thousand injured. No cause for the explosion was given other than that 2 trains crashed.

I'm not sure why people choose 'To Love is to Bury' as their wedding song...It's about a murder-suicide

Actually it was a stolen Soviet suitcase nuke that misfired...no, not really, but I wouldn't be surprised if they said that next.Rogue 9 wrote:Wait, first fuel and now dynamite? Erm...
aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me.
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

Not to trivialise the actual accident, but that'd actually be kinda cool to see happen.Col. Crackpot wrote:perhaps a train load of pop rocks crashed into a train load of coke.... thats about the only explanation we havn't heard yet.

There was a show on Discovery not too long ago, was about the greatest explosions of all time. They did various test on TNT and it will not blow if burned or crushed only electric charge. So guessing the whole overhead wiring screw up they mentioned might be it. Just don't see how in the hell you would have loose wires near crates of TNT

Saw that- talking about the Halifax Explosion. This blast would have to be on par with that- if the sources on the components of the explosion are accurate. If you take two trainloads of a variety of TNT, liquefied petroleum gas, oil, Ammonium Nitrate and whatever else, you're going to have a couple hundred tons of blast.Meest wrote:There was a show on Discovery not too long ago, was about the greatest explosions of all time.
