Webpage Rendering Problem

Post by Admiral Valdemar »

Okay, it's starting to bug me now, but I need to finally ask what aspect of the Firefox v0.8 browser is causing this page to draw wrong.

This page loads normally in IE6, yet, the images overlap and the text looks horrible in Firefox.

Now I thought it was Java at first, but that's already installed in Firefox so I thought CSS, but I can't and won't get into that shit so I'm wondering if this problem (which seems to be common) will be fixed or has been with a plugin I haven't seen yet.

I guess it's a minor niggle, but I don't like loading IE6 just to view a page correctly.[/quote]

See problems here too (search box behind menu, line behind "Download Here", but site otherwise usable. Just poor design, probably the coder decided to absolutely position everything, not accounting for browser rendering differences. It appears to work however.

Hmm, irritating.

I suppose it's one of those IE6 or nothing compatible ones, ah well. IE6 it is.

I only have 1.3 on my drive other than Firefox and IE6. Maybe I should upgrade it, I'd rather just get the plugin for Firefox as Mozilla is rather bloated for my needs.

Dude, Mozilla 1.3 was a piece of shit. I'm glad they fixed those problems with 1.4. Get 1.6 and see if it fixes it on your end.
