Looky What I Got, Punk

Oh my Dad will be happy, even if I got it for myself, y'know, finishing my exams gift to after all that hard work (I'm well aware "punk" isn't said by Clint anywhere in this film). :)

It's now a whopping 2 hours and 51 minutes long as well, I hear some of the extra scenes had to be done in English this year by Clint and Wallach so you can tell somewhat from their voices changing, but at least this is what was originally intended.

If anyone was thinking of getting The Man With No Name trilogy, I'd get this first and wait to see if they do the same with the other two films (though this is by far the best and up there with Leone's Once Upon A Time In The West special edition I also got.

Do UK DVDs always have those big ugly rating marks on the cover? :P

Compared to the US DVD covers themselves, I don't care. US books, DVDs and so on go for the lamest artwork it would seem. :D

It would be nice if they connected Unforigiven to "The Man with No Name" series. It seems like the perfect sort of retirement send off for a former gunfighter of questional ethics.

I do hear rumours that Munny is The Man With No Name/Blondie or whatever else he gets called, but I don't know if it's canon. Certainly would be an interesting tribute to the character by Clint to Sergio Leone ans the two characters are very similar (though you have to wonder where he squandered the cash).

All I've ever heard is people writing about how they think that Munny is the same character as Blondie. I have to agree with their assesment and I think that in many ways Unforgiven was done as a final installment to the series even if it can't be officaly recognized.

As for the money. He probably spent it all to buy himself a new life and family.
