Again, this doesn't get you much of anywhere. Not to mention that I have to wonder what you're doing to interfere with astral travel like he uses...

Yes, it doesnt get him much of anywhere. But I think we should at least allow for the possibility that his plans have some degree of subtlety. And as to the interdiction, well, astral travel is really no different from hyperspace travel. Same methods could very well be used.

Actually, I'm thinking that this sudden interest in stealing and buying magical equipment "cost no object" has everything to do with this comment made a few hours ago regarding the Floater theft:
Alyrium Denryle wrote:Well, lets look at it this way. this COULD break my empire. All i have is magic, my tech level is 14th century europe, barely having gunpowder.

He basically took the manual for nuclear weapons to North Korea.

Perhaps. And if he succeeds without powergaming, kudos to him. Although Alyrium wont make it easy, and I suspect he wont be selling those artifacts to Laz any time soon...

Oh yes, it would be kudos to him, if the knowledge of what to do didn't come from the OOC thread. This is what we D&Ders call metagaming...

Dude. Why complain? If Alyrium starts describing major, exploitable flaws in his empire in the OOC thread, than is it his fault for placing them in the OOC thread, of lazerus' fault for reading them?

And you were berating me for telling Tycho that it would be good to attack Pinnacle when he asked what in my nation he could invade. This amounts to the same thing, except that Alyrium didn't intentionally put his plans in the hands of the enemy commander. I don't know about you, but I fully expect that characters in the game don't suddenly gain knowledge in the OOC thread. You know why? Because the characters can't exactly read the OOC stuff. Laz's nation apparently had an amazing revelation about this soon after it was posted in the OOC thread, which makes zero in game sense.

Look, Rogue, you are absolutely right.

But you know what? It's not like you can PROVE that Lazerus didn't think of this on his own- After all, I did, didn't I?

There is nothing to argue, Rogue. What do you want Laz to do? Remove his posts because they MAY have been inspired by something Aly said OOC?
It's nonsensical.

Actually I had completly forgotton about that comment.

The reason i'm doing this is that goa'ould pretend to be gods and mages, and if a REAL mage shows up and goes "Hah! Your no god, I kick your ass!" The jaffa will say loyal for a total of about 10seconds.

Where-as if the mage shows up, and I have the "nuclear weapons construction manual" just like he does, they will be more loyal then ever.

Ok, Aly posted his weakness (his magic) and I posted mine (my fragile command structure). We'll call it even.

I've allready posted my IC reasons for doing this. Aly poses a huge threat to me simply by EXISTING.

I know it's most likely not going to work, but i'm gonna try anyway on the off chance.

But what it really is, to a empire that keeps it's magic such a carefull secret, is a diplomatic slap-in-the-face.

Damn straight I do, but there is a difference between "what are you thinking" crazy and "you godmoding little fuck" crazy.

And before you make any sarcastic remarks, i'm the former.

Ok, lets see...........

1) The personal sheilds thing, we have seen those in SG-1. But never vs really good weapons. I overestimated their power, my bad.

2) Ok, I screwed up on the bomb thing. I didn't know you guys had encounted naquida before enough to ident it. Once again, my bad.

3) See my middle finger? Know what is says?

Oooooo, they have 'em in SG-1! They have all the spells you whine about in D&D; should Alyrium get to toss around circle of death now?

Yeah you brought in the shields after telling Alys that his stuff from the game couldn't be used. Can you say double standard?

As for overestimating your power, THAT'S ALL YOU'VE DONE!!!

Waving your little finger doesn't impress me, boy. Playing the damn game, that would impress me.

The difference is, a personal sheild is somthing we have seen in a lot of sci-fi and isn't uncommon or that broken. Circle of Death is just...........ugh.

Not true, I also took place in 2 major wars.

Seriously, so I made er.....*thinks back*...2, maybe 3 mistakes. Sorry, i'm new at this. Chill.

Should I have a sheild that can stop small arms fire? Yes, it's common, and everyone CAN have it even if they don't use it because it's expensive.

Should Aly have a spell that lets each of his troops become an unstoable killing machine? No.

And before you talk about that thing with the special-ops squad, I know, I know. I made a mistake.

seriously, cut Laz some slack. He made some mistakes. He fixed them. He apologized. And the only thing you guys can do (glares at Rogue, magi, and Aly) is rub his face in it. Let's focus on what's happening now. Any godmoding? *looks around* Nope, dont see any. Now please, PLEASE, just play the game.
