"Still, begin assembling the third an fourth fleets over Carulan. I want them ready to launch in three days time."

Embassy District, Capital City, Nashtar

Three platoons of Marines jogged up to the Krynor embassy, led by a diplomat and several intelligence officers from NRI. The diplomat knocked on the door. It was answered by a Jaffa guard.

"We are here to inspect the embassy. You are ordered to allow us inside and into whatever rooms we choose. Take us to the ambassador."

The Emperor walked into the Embassy, intent on meeting with the Arcane Ambassador personally. The receptionist jumped a little when he saw who walked in.

"Is there somthing I can help you with?"

"I need to speak to the Ambassador, now. I don't give a damn if he's busy."

"Welcome. Before you say anything. The Krynor empire has had 8 battlecruisers in our territory, preying on our shipping for weeks. And they have had a number of operatives who have ben openly attacking our troops in CoG space. Not only that, but we strongly suspect them of the kdnapping of one of our officers a month and a half ago."

In the Krynor system, the goa'ould engineers were working at a furios pace to retrofit the stations and defensive batteries with one-shot hyperdrives. The ships were being loaded to the max with Jaffa, and tons of raw naquida were being evacuated via stargate to hidden cashes on distant planets.

Wither the battle was won or lost, the empire would not die here.

"I assume you have proof of the Goa'uld trechary?"

"We were recently given documents by some floater refugees that show Krynor ships bombarding a non-spacefaring planet. If I remember correctly, they had barely achived neuclar power. It's not that I don't belive you, but the other nations will need proof of their actions."

One of the intelligence agents nodded to the Marines. Two platoons moved off through the embassy.

The State official nodded. "Ambassador, we don't mean to intrude, but rather alarming recent developments have come to our attention. These gentlemen," he said, indicating the two men flanking him, "need to see your document rooms. Now."

"We have numerous documents, and eye witness testimony from one of the officers of a ship they attacked. He managed to escape.

We have also intercepted said battlecruisers and will be bringng in bits and pieces of them in a few hours. They are in our territory currently"

He hands the ambassador the documented evidence. As well as Scrying logs of the battlecruisers movements

The two princes, accompanied by some minor staff, were talking quickly. They had to rush, and each one had about five things they needed to keep track of.

"I got my men to copy the books, we've got four copies of each."

"Four? We only need three for the compromise, one for the procedural records, one for the Floaters, and one for you guys."

"And a spare for Farpoint. We have a much larger concentration of force there, and it would be much safer there."

"Fair enough, but we can always make more copies, don't waste your time."

"Fine. When you going to broadcast your compromise?"

"Ten minutes."

"Good, run, I've got somewhere to go."

He held up the spell books, careful not to open them.

With a Guesture the Lord Protector had the Krynor Ambassador taken from the room via armed guard. The embassey would be seized in minutes and the Ambassador and her staff sent out of United Protectrates Space.

"Gentlemen it is the finding of the United Protectrates that the Krynor Empire has acted with hostile intent against our nations. Has stated in the alliance, we must act without hestation."

Gladsheim System:
A small Baeloaren diplomatic convoy drops out of warp at the edge of the system, informing Gladsheim System Control of their presence, requesting coordinates for an intrasystem jump so that they might "drop off" the Baeloaren emissaries.

Bael - New Garid Archology
A small personal transport vehicle pulled up to the Gladsheim embasy.
The Baeloaren official approached the door and was greeted by one of the embasies aids.
There the Baeloaren official met the Gladsheim ambassador. "We have just recieved a signal, our diplomats have arrived at your home system, the senate will be meeting later today, and you will be expected to attend. The senate will conduct a dialogue with your leaders once they have arrived at your capital."

The fast transport Bullet made its jump, their informants had did it again, they had gotten through the patrols without incident, they had dropped off their cargo and were ready to change course for home.
It was too late, however, as a Baeloaren Patrician poured into realspace some kilometers in front of the Bullet and grabbed it with its tractor beam. The fast transport couldn't even struggle, the 850 meter cruiser's tractor beam kept held the transport tight, if it tried to jump to FTL it would have torn itself apart. The ship submitted without trouble; the pilots would be charged with smuggling. The captain of the Patrician smirked, they had finally caught one, finally they had some proof to bring to the senate. Something would be done about this problem, eventually.

"Those arent the originals. Only the originals will be useful to anyone including ourselves. You may keep the copies, but the original material comes back to us. And we WILL know The fact of the matter is, those books are OUR property, and there should be no compromise to begin with."

The prince looked affronted.

"These books are the originals. And it is our understanding that the copies work, or at least, that's what our mages told us. They've been learning some simple spells from the copies too. If you don't like this, though, we'll have to continue the investigation."

With that, the owners of the respected spellbooks spoke a few words. They were within range and this was the last spell they would be casting for a long time.

The books, all of them, were destroyed, even the copies had their writing erased.

"You see, when a mage creates a spellbook, he invests a bit of his soul into the writing. That means he can reclaim it at a time of his choosing, rendering the writing in the books.. none existent. You have done us great harm in your actions. And you will pay for it at a point in which we are not at war with another power."

"If you will excuse us our earthling friends, we have a war to fight. With that every Monocoran was teleported back to their ship, the hatches closed arcanian troops teleported back, and the shields raised. No interdictors were in the area, and the 8th fleet Shifted to the Astral Plane.

A 4 person wide line of people stretched for miles, trudging out of the stargate towards the collection of prefab buildings on the horizion. Ocasionaly a truck loaded with blocks of weapons grade naquia would chug through and race ahead of them.

3rd Fleet moved out from it bases gathering at the presigned point. As one they disappeared into Hyper Space. All other formations stepped up to full alert, all defensives across the U.P were active and ready.

2nd fleet began to gather ready for reinforcement as 1st and 4th went to rapid reaction status ready to respone to any invasion attempts of U.P terrority.

Joyous Gard

The Sixth Fleet raiders, having barely been back from raiding Covenant and Jordanian targets for a few weeks, headed out again. The target was one large system, with all the enemy's fleet deployed there. This required different tactics. They'd have to hit and run faster, but more importantly, all five of Sixth Fleet's Nova class destroyers went with the raiding frigates and light carriers this time.

Praetor

The heavy warships of Third Fleet started to gear up. They'd been placed on alert days earlier and just needed to bring on their troop complements.

Pinnacle

The remainder of Fifth Fleet went on high alert, ready to jump out should Third or Sixth need the help. The three new Torrent class battlestations were brought on line and were crewed to make up for any loss of fleet strength caused by reinforcement rushing.

Covenant of God occupation stabilizes after involvement of the U.P

The seemingly constant downward spiral of attack and response in occupied Covenant of God worlds has seemingly stabilized for the moment. The reason for this stabilization can be attributed to the direct involvement of the allies of the Arcane Empire, specifically the United Protectorates. While the situation has begun to stabilize, this stabilization has come at a price. The city that had been a hotbed of activity as the so called “freedom fighters” of the Covenant and the occupying forces of the Arcane Empire struggled for supremacy has been turned into a model for a police state. The United Protectorate forces have established layers of patrols and surveillance drones, demanding the registration of all citizens within the city. Complaints about the intrusion upon the citizens of the now defunct Covenant of the God have been largely ignored. Civil right complaints are numerous by those on the outside looking in, and while the city has gotten safer, many of its citizens complain that it has gotten harder to live. Military checkpoints are literally everywhere, invasive scans a fact of life. Some wonder if the occupation forces have simply exchanged one problem for another.

War in the horizon?

The Veithan naval forces and army units have recently been moved to a higher state of alertness. Space Guard units have been fully mobilized, and travel advisories into various empires have been posted in all ports of entry. These steps would seem to suggest that the Veithan government is preparing for an outbreak of hostilities. When VNN reporters approached the defense minister of the Empire, he had this to say. “The heightened state of alertness to our forces is a predictable answer to the current galactic situation. In these times it not only prudent but necessary to consider the impact of far reaching events currently taking place in the galaxy. I point out that these moves are defensive in nature, the Empire is not gearing up to go to war.”
