Straha said
"You are quite welcome, I must thank you for gracing us with your presence. It is a most welcome pleasure to finally see you in person."
"Oh believe me, as the first Protector to step foot on Mother Terra in 600 years, the pleasure is mine. Well, I will leave you to your duty as you have even more guest coming and my party seems to have finially caught up with me. Thank you again!" The Lord Protector took his leave dragging up unarmed, but armored bodyguards, one cousin and 8 older slightly out of brethe men.

Seeing Lord Karsus XV and President Major in their own group, he bore down on them at full speed.

Artimus was going nuts. This was one hel of a woman... and he had not been with a woman for so long, he had almost forgoten what sex felt like. If he played his cards right...

"Well, I am capable of reading intent, emotion, and even of loking at thoughts directly. I can also control thoughts, erase and implant memories, control people like puppets, cause pain, and send opeople into a fantasy dream world from which they will never awaken. I can also shield myself from those effects"

Artimus knew she was lying. When he sent her a message he could feel that her mind was not that of a mundane, but he played along regardless. SHe was cute, and had not been with a woman for some time.

Anuket smiled.
"If mages can do all that, why don't they rule the universe by now? There are many powers that would to go ward for the mere chance of posessing such abilities."

Possibly, which is something we are changing. We have been stagnant for thousands of years, merely observing the galaxy... What we feel truley breeds stagnation is isolation. We have effectively sealed ourselves off from evolution.

Note to self, this man is dangerous. Research potential ways of having him killed should the need arise. Oh, and since you heard that, no hard feelings, just politics.

Oh, dont worry, you will get your comupance later... It is only amatter of time before you give us an excuse
Anuket smiled.

We could have, but we made the mistake of isolating ourselves for a dozen millenia.

Us for starters............well, before we got our asses kicked that is.

Which is why we did it. You know, you really should not project your thoughts at me

"Nations do not have friends, only intrests."
"The first words of wisdom I've heard a representative of the Krynor speak."
Artus looked the Goa'ulf up and down, eyes calculating.

"What possesed you to incite those revolts in Ix'agal, anyways? you must have known you'd be discovered- and you must have seen the military threat the Alliance would present."

Ah yes, the inevitability of life...........still, we can always hope that Jarlath might bring about some real change. He's the first goa'ould to ever do away with the old warlord system.

"These Jaffa behind me know exactly what our race is, but most do not. Although Jarlath is trying to change it, for the time being, our civilization is based upon the belief that we are mages or gods. All it would take is for one real mage to show up.........and our power over our fleet and planets would vanish like so much water in the desert. That is why we tried, because we thought that the mages posed a threat to us meerly by existing."

Grand Ball

“Hm…quite a bit going on over there, Jon,” Thomas nodded towards the accumulating group of dignitaries.

“What sorts?”

“All sorts.”

“Probably some of that unrest getting involved. I’m going to get a drink. Feel free to introduce yourself though.”

“Oh, come on Jon, we should at least listen in.”

“I either get one drink now to work me through it, or I’ll be needing several afterwards.”

“Fine, fine, I might as well get one myself. I’ll show them how to make a Hostile Takeover.”

“I would like to be allowed to return to Corvus, Thomas,” Jon smirked, and went to go get some drinks from the bar with Thomas, their aides both following closely behind.
