It's horribly bad, even as a parody. Can't think of any amerime that doesn't suck shit. Though last night I had a small peek of GSeed, which seemed really nice, bad dub and all.

A search warrant has been filed and that search is currently taking place. Mr. Jackson has not been charged with any crime. We cannot specifically address the content of the police report as it is confidential information at the present time, however, we can confirm that Mr. Jackson forced the boy to listen to the Howard Stern show and watch the movie Private Parts over and over again."

Quiet Simon, you've only read one review of Nadesico that said it was a parody and have never actually seen a single episode of it yourself. For the last damn time: Nadesico is NOT a parody or a satire: it's an homage.

Bleh. Mechs don't need satire; they're their own satire. :P

are you going to post anything in this thread besides pointless flames?

anyways. a DDR controller for a mecha does sound suspiciously like something i'd expect to see in Megatokyo (the webcomic). Parodies are good when done right (Mobile Fighter G Gundam), as it focuses on parodying one or two things, but a parody of all things anime? meh. not really sure i'd be able to watch something like that.

Wait a second... so a show that's the same damn Gundam show that they've been shoveling at us for years is better than a fresh parody?

Yep.

If there really is no accounting for taste, why is it that some people have none at all?

Certain parts of Nadesico-Gai, the "talent" show, Gekiganger in its entirety, possibly the virtual reality-thing in that one episode-are completely parody. The rest is homage.
Don't hate; appreciate!

RIP Eddie.

Can't say there's any accounting for taste, or the lack thereof.

Seriously, though. Gundam Seed looks like every other Gundam show I've forced myself to partake of, with the exception of G-Gundam(Which I actually enjoyed). It very nearly bored me to death, because it was so damn predictable. How this can be better than something which actually makes jokes you wouldn't expect blows my mind.

Ok, Megas XLR ep III 'Battle Royale' premired tonight. I was not disappointed. 8)

In thsi episode, fat-ass gamer Coop, letcherous Jamie, and hottie Kiva were recruited by the evil intergalactic wrestling promoter Magnanimus. Who was played by Bruce Campbell! Also, he was a fucking head with tiny legs dangling where his wang showuld be...say it with me now: ewwwww!

Anywho, Coop gives a royal crowning to every competitor in the Galactic wrestling Federation Championship and Jamie, the only one who bet on him, makes a killing. Kiva stumbles on the fact that Maggie is fixing the fights, and she and Jamie get captured and hung above a min-black hole, to die if Coop wins his next match. See, Magnanimus bet everything against Coop, if Coop wins...well, lets just say no paycheck for miste talking head this payday.

Thanks to Kiva's strength and some of jamie's idiocy, they escape their trap, and Coop makes every competitor say "uncle" in short order. When Magnanimus attacks in his hugesonic bazooka, Coop unleahes his ultimate weapon: a kareoke sonic boom called the Jammer. Needless to say, he trounces Maggie good, and send shim into the mini-black hole.

Their prize: Kiva takes them to the Burger Joint of the Planet of the Space Amazons, where Jamie gets a black eye from, we assume, hitting on a waitress.

Score: ***1/2 out of five, more action than funny, but still the best thing on :D

Funniest moment(s):

Coop uses a laser sword to cut Magnaniumus off his robotic body. As he's falling he screams "Oh the pain! It hurts so bad!" he rethinks it "Oh wait, no it doenst." then promptly falls into the mini-black hole, "Oh God, it hurts so bad!"

The Bruce said "groovy!"

And the face on that grotesque head did look a little like him.

Fans of Iron Man should recognize Magnanimus as a MODAK look-a-like. Although, MODAK's legs were never that creepy looking.
