(OOC: You're allowed to bring up to twelve men in your entourage, but they aren't allowed to bring weapons in, no one is for that matter except for my guards)

The emperor was met at the shuttle pad, and then rushed right too the Palace where the ball was taking place.

The Emperor walked into the Grand Ball room talking with his entourage

"Remind me why i'm doing this again?"

"please sir, just shut up and smile, and resist the urge to pummel certain individuals."

"Alright, but I didn't say I wouldn't drink"

The Emperor turned to a waiter

"What wine is good here?"

The Emperor's entourage shook their heads.

The Political Prince approached the Emperor smiling and offering his hand.

"Welcome. I wouldn't know about the wine, but you should probably ask those illustriously dignified emissaries over there. They'll tell you everything you need to know about our wine."

Jardan
Capital ot the New Jardanian Republic

[Goa'ould fleet units deployed]
5 Heavy Motherships
3 Fleet Carriers
30 Motherships
10 Battle Carriers
250 Wings of Heavy bombers (equilivent to a frgiete)
200 Troop Transports

Tradition is not changed overnight, the Goa'ould knew this better then anyone else. The Jardanians had over a century of millitary and authorian tradition behind them, and while most followd the new republic, many (espicaly millitary leaders unhappy with the builddown) wanted a return to the old ways. They were not strong enough to move against the govenement on their own however, they needed backing and funding, somthing the goa'ould were happy to provide.

As the fleet arrived, a drednaught and part of it's escort wing broke off from their defensive positions and in 1 micro hyperspace jump joined the goa'ould fleet. The Rogue Jardanian admiral addressed his fleet, as he transmitted, the ships computer added a dash of sublinimal mindcontrol to the image.

"Soliders of Jardan, I come to you with a message of great imporatance. Our empire, our confederacy that our ancestors worked so hard to build is being CORRUPTED by the "republicans" and their new government. They build down our millitary, leaving us exposed to other, stronger powers. This republic seeks to distroy our millitary tradition, everything we are, are you just going to STAND THERE and watch everything we have worked for be layed to waste!? Soliders, do your duty and rise up against this false govenment! With the help of our new allies, we can distroy this false rebuplic and return our empire to it's rightfull glory!"

The Jardan system exploded in chaotic fighting, large parts of the fleet broke off, while others tried to distroy the renegades. The goa'ould fleet moved in trying to attack only the loyal ones, while the ground defences were unsure who to attack.

After a few hours of bitter fighting in orbit and on the planet below, the last of the loyal drednaughts fled into hyperspace. With the help of the mass defections in the fleet, the combined forces had seized Jardan, and started a civil war.

[Goa'ould forces lost]
2 Heavy Motherships
7 Motherships
63 bomber wings

Edean System
3rd War Cluster

A swarm of Ouster warships formed up- the Hajr had no interest in allowing the despicable Krynor a chance to so drastically expand the size of their empire. As the reports from the Ouster spies on Jardan reached their ears, freecasts shot invisibly through space, as orders were requested from Eketrina- and given.

<< The freedomkillers will not receive another slave-world. Such a move would overextend their power, and cause problems for the Hajr in the future. IT must be stopped. >>

With no warning or decleration, the black ships of the 3rd War Cluster shot into FTL speed, moving swiftly and silently towards Jardan. The translation took mere hours, and soon enough, the vessels arrived, dropping in at system's edge. A message, broadcast throughout the system, reached all there-

<< The Hajr supports the Loyalist cause. Goa'ould vessels, you have only one chance to leave, or face the simple consequences. >>

In the Sparta system, construction of two new shipyards begins.

--

[THE SYSTEM KYTAN]
[2 hours hyperdrive from Gamma Site]

Two cargoships and some construction ships dropped out of hyperspace, quickly engaging cloaking devices.

The system below was home to a civilization of advanced avian beings in a post WWI stage pf devlopment, the kind of planet you can't find near Known Space because they have all been conquered. Beaming up a few and running tests revealed that their brain chemistly was different enough that goa'ould would be unable to infect them.

The goa'ould constuction ship deployed a series of low-powered weapons satelites that began systematic bombardment of pinpoint targets, while the cargo ships deployed a stargate on the surfase.

Using a the age old tactic of shock and awe (or the blitzkreig if you prefer that name), they hit every important target on the planet within hours. While hitting them hard with one hard, and transmitting that they would show mercy to captured peoples with the other, they awed the planet into surrendering within hours.

<< Do you expect to negotiate? We respect not your words. Come, then- how shall we settle this? In the traditional way, through violence? >>

Already, having picked up the transmission, Loyalist warships were returnig to the system. Vessels out on picket duty were returning to the home system, were new lines were being drawn. The Goa'ould's puppet-admiral had made a mistake in attempting to convert everyone instantly rather than building up an initial broad base of support, and was finding that mere subliminal messageing was not being sufficient to turn the loyalties of the Jardanian military.

The Dreadnoughts Alexander and Hector formed the core of the rapidly-coagulating wall of battle standing off a respectable distance from the Ouster fleet.

"Ouster vessels, this is Admiral Carson of the Jardanian Navy. I'm calling in the sector fleets, we'll see if we can push these invaders out of our territory."

<< Understood, Bondman Carson. Follow our lead, should violence be necessary. >>

"Roger that, Ouster forces. Damned if I'm letting a bunch of parasites take control of my homeworld..."

Jardan System
Free Jardanian Republic

Bondwoman Admiral Miyako grinned humorlessly. It appeared that these flatlanders were a little on the stupid side- they were outnumbered, battered after their recent duel, and facing a fresh fleet of untouched Unbound vessels and incoming loyalist forces. She would take little pleasure in turning the might of the Hajr against them.

The bridge of her vessel, the mighty Cataphract Dominance of Primates, was nearly silent- the organized, compotent atmosphere of an Ouster ship of the line's command sector. Her weapons and defenses officers both stood ready- it seemed their services would soon be needed.

<< Crazy? Interesting choice of words. If you think we intend on allowing a nation with the.... shining record such as yours take control of this soveriegn nation, you are "crazy." This is your last chance. Leave the system,>>

The Goa'ould fleet and Imperial fleet formed up, the goa'ould fighters formed formations with the swarms and swarms of attack fighters coming from the surfase bases. The ground instalations, captured mostly intact, were brought to bear on the new fleet as were what defesnsive stations were left. The minefield that surrowned the planet was armed, and the planitary sheild that the Imperial forces had turned off, they turned back on.
