Alpha Prime diplomatic station

Ambassador Shelton saw off the remaining diplomats and then shuttled back over to the Claymore with Minister Godunov. The squadron of F/A-210s in the station's lower docking bay scrambled and formed up around the battleship. They all jumped to the edge of the system to rendezvous with the battlegroup and then set course for the Praetor corridor.

When they emerged from hyperspace at Praetor, the news reached them. All their negotiations had already failed. The ministers in council with the Vice President set the Republic Space Command on high alert pending orders from the President.

Monacoran Grand Ball, Earth

President Major had been observing the proceedings in silence. Now he thought he'd seen enough. He walked out of the room and up to the sergeant in charge of the small Marine detachment waiting outside. "Sergeant, I need your transmitter to communicate with the Sabre. Set encryption."

"Yes, sir." The sergeant handed over his radio after setting for Fleet and dialing in an encryption protocol. "Sabre, this is President Major. Things aren't looking too good diplomatically speaking down here. What's your status?"

"Sir, this is Captain Moriarty. We've been put on alert status by Command; apparently there is a major engagement between the Goa'ould and the Hajr over Camaro. The Goa'ould are apparently attempting to expand their territory."

"Damn. Relay to Republic Space Command and the government: I am ordering the Third and Sixth Fleets to take any steps necessary to contain the Goa'ould. They are not to undertake offensive operations at this time. Do you copy?"

"Copy, sir. What do we do?"

"We stay here, Captain. There's still the diplomatic conference tomorrow. I'm going back into the ball to see if I can talk things over, but until then, stay on alert. Do not open fire on anything unless it shoots at you or bombards the planet first; we have to honor the Peace of Terra. Out."

Praetor

The carriers Intrepid and Excelsior pulled out of orbit and began to form their battle groups. Each fleet carrier got one battleship, two Carnegie class cruisers, one Merovingian class carrier, one Warhammer cruiser, four Starlight class destroyers, five Dawn Raider frigates, three Sun Striker light carriers, two Nova class missile destroyers, and 2 Solar Flare minelayers. The two groups split up. The Intrepid's group set course for Camaro. The Excelsior simply got clear of the cluster and prepared to jump to the first report of a Goa'ould offensive.

Joyous Gard

Another day, another raid was how it was beginning to seem to Sixth Fleet. The destroyers and frigates split into patrol groups and set out to patrol near neutral and independent star systems, watching for Goa'ould.

The Verdandi battle group swallowed out of their wormholes at the outer edge and stayed there. Admiral Tjoerhom immediately called the Monacoran authority.
"This is Admiral Tjoerhom of the Grand Empire of Gladsheim, we were sent here to ensure the protection of Crown Prince Jorn in those once-again hostile galaxy."

Camaro System

Slowly the transports arrived. Not all of them had the insignia of the Monacoran Army, and not all of them were infact military troop transports, some looked like regular cargo transports that had seemingly been rushed into service for this situation alone. Radioing ahead one of them said.

"Ouster control this is Monacoran fleet Franco Alpha Kappa Epsilon, we're waiting for the rest of the ships to arrive, soon we will be able to commence landing operations."

First Carrier Battle Group, Third Fleet dropped out of hyperspace at the edge of the system. Fighters scrambled from the carriers as destroyers and frigates moved to screen the carriers, missile cruisers, and tenders.

"Ouster fleet, this is Admiral Simmons commanding Republic Space Command task force. We are under orders to repel Goa'ould advances into this system, please advise."

CNS Dis Defender

The Krell fleet hurtled through hyperspace. On board the ships, crews were scrambling to make preparations. The ships had been deployed as soon as they could, and much of the pre-flight checklist was being completed en route. Leego Diama was the captain of Dis Defender, and the head of operations. He had only received minimal information from Emir al-Shad, but reports were still coming in, and he had finally pieced together the situation. He opened a com to announce the purpose to the enitre fleet.

"We are headed into Krynor space to combat the Goa'uld on their home turf. Our primary client is the Ousters, who initiated military action a little under three hours ago. We will be working closely with the Ousters, and expect to have allies among several other nations. This should be a quick and bloody fight.

"In three hours we will arrive at our destination, a system which for security purposes will be referred to as System S until the completion of operations. We will position ourselves just outside S to meet with the Ouster Hajr 3rd War Cluster, at which point we will make the short jump into the system to begin the full assault. Our primary responsibility will be to take out planetary defenses while the Ousters and perhaps Monacora will begin planetside operations. In the meantime, I need those final checks completed within the next two hours. At T minus 20 minutes I want all hands to battle stations. Let's make this good, boys."

Warship of the Hajr Inevitable Ascendence
Camaro System

Bondman subadmiral Atja su Miitgar was in the Inevitable Ascendence's flag deck. The Attack Carrier was designed to act as mothership for a fast assault force like the one over Camaro, and as such, had extensive facilities for the co-ordinationo of a ground invasion. Bondwoman General Sara su Kynisnet was hunched over a display, tucked into a tight ball in the zero-g, watching the unfolding battle. Hajr marines were landing in a dozen cities, blitzing the Jaffa positions with combat drops supported by precision orbital fire support. Inital reports showed the Jaffa forces breaking rapidly in four of the landing zones, retreating and taking losses in six cities, and inflicting heavy casualties on two drop zones.

"Atja, I believe we could have use for the Monacoran troops- our offensive needs bolstering along the eastern coast of this major continent. The Jaffa commander there kept his defense guns under wraps until our dropships were right on top of him, and our soldiers are outnumbered in that region. We might break through eventually, but it will be bloody."

"Right, Sara. I'll get in touch with them immediately."

He opened a channel to the Monacoran and Nashtar vessels flooding in-system.

<< Admiral Simmons, we suspect strongly that powerful Krynori reinforcements are en route. We don't have any information beyond that, but be prepared. I should also warn you that the Jaffa are well entrenched on the planet below, so it will take a little time for us to secure all the planetary defense batteries. The locals are staying under cover- seems they might be believing the Jaffa's foolishness about the Goa'ould being divinity.>>

<<Monacoran Fleeet Franco AKE, we request assistance for out ground troops. We're facing particularly tough resistance at the following locations. Thanks for showing up- the freedomkillers are fighting hard. Be advised, we suspect Krynori reinforcements incoming.>>

We need the coordinates of Goa'Uld positions in sovereign territory wo that we may destroy their fleets before seeing that their primary base of operations is destroyed

<< Our knowledge of their fleet deployment is fairly limited. We suspect that large portions of their fleet are heading for Camaro, but we are not certain. We have heard reports from the Sparta system that it is a major naval base of theirs, but our intelligence is second-rate. Perhaps your own apparatus can give you a better idea. >>

"Acknowledged, Intrepid out." Admiral Simmons turned to the communications officer. "Signal the Excelsior. Tell them to stand by to reinforce this system if necessary. Flight ops," he said, turning across the bridge, "I want BARCAP over the Monacoran transports until they land and CAS for them once on the ground. Get a contact frequency for Monacoran ground forces. Get some fighters out there, now."

"Aye, sir." The CAG touched a few controls and spoke some terse launch orders into his comm. A minute later, three squadrons scrambled from the Intrepid's launch bays; two of F-235s and one of A-127s. All of them streaked out past the fleet fighter screen and towards the Monacoran troop transports.

You are almost certainly not equipped to accept Ouster fire support request transmissions, and unless you have fire control computers to which we can send fire grid plans, I doubt you will be able to help. >>

"Ouster forces, this is Captain Lansing, CAG for the Republic battle group. Our strike fighters are capable of accepting targets for close air support should you wish it."

A squadron of A-127s left the battle group and raced towards the planet, flanked by six escorting F-235s.

"Squadron, this is Sheriff lead, proceed to designated targets. Watch for flak and anti-air missiles; we don't know what they've got down there."

"Got it, Boss. Coming around."

"Lead, this is Seven. Target in sight, in hot. Sheriff Seven, magnum!" A missile leapt off its launch rail and streaked off towards a Goa'ould emplacement being advanced upon by Hajr marines, lancing into an armored vehicle and destroying it.

"Sheriff Eight, magnum with three." Eight released three missiles one after the other, each streaking out towards its designated target. The other strikers followed suit soon after, wing pairs breaking off to attack individual targets.
