Hah, the only backing for his SA80 claim was that he used one, which is a great example of circular logic.

But as has been aswered already, british papers are divided in 2 categories, tabloid for short attention spans, pop culture, and all that shit. These tend to be part of the Murdock Empire. They have clearly obvious political biases.

Broadsheets are larger serious papers with only slight political bias, if any.

Sounds to me as if Piers Morgan is pulling this shit outta his ass as usual. The Mirror never supported the war fron the start and have taken every opportunity to take potshots at the war, seems they've resorted to outright lies to back up their views.

Given the amount of irreperable damage this has caused, maybe they'll be shut down if it turns out to be false.

I very much doubt that, they are pro Labour after all and charges of outright fabrication aren’t going to stick, at best they were negligent in their ability to corroborate the story.
