I no longer am working at the Alexandria Wastewater Treatment Plant, but here:

Truly, the country is in dire straits when I'm on the Contractor list for the
Suffolk MDA building renovation. :wtf:

I wouldn't start worrying until he starts working some place with offensive missiles. Based on the emblem it almost looks like part of SDI.

The name didn't clue you in?

Seriously, I have to turn in my drivers license to get a pass for the
building and it only lets me go to the basement, roof, and the two
floors we're renovating, so there's little chance of me getting to
a Big Red Button and acting like Jack D Ripper :)

Chardok, I was talking with one of the security guys and he said to become
a guard for the building, you have to have at least five years experience and
military experience.....perhaps you should ditch Florida and come up here
to the DC area and get a civilian job guarding sensitive agencies,
I mean, you've got MP experience.....

Find the red button and then advertise to blow rich people's Learjets out of the sky for a small sum from the divorced partner who wants to avoid alimony.

I think you need more than big red buttons to launch a missile.

:( Here's to hoping it's not some staff job.

Sure, it's important to your career and whatnot. But command is so much more fun, is it not?

What happened? :? Like RogueIce said, I hope your new job isn't an office job in the pentagon.

It was a mixture of events and factors. It is a successful command, but the boss wanted someone different at the helm since we are close to deployment. My next job may be as a recruiting company commander, but that's still panning out.

Command is both fun and challenging, but those in charge determine a lot that the troops cannot see. Company command was much more limited than I expected it to be, but then I'm much more experienced and knowledgable now than I was at the start.

Thanks but no thanks, man. I've had my fill of guarding...stuff. I rather like servicing mortgages. It's infinitely less mind numbing than staring at a wall for 8 hours a day.

.
Company grade? Still sounds like the worse possible time to change the command structure.
Oh well, I take it you have already been to CAS3, and CGSOC? If not, the time between assignments is the best time to hunt down a slot. Don't knock the staff wienies..everyone has to do it at one time or another

Went through CAS3 in '00. Have pulled two BN primary staff positions and now one CO CMD. The branch manager is lining up that recruiting job for me, since I'll be up for major next year.

Certainly those anti-missile weapons where Shep works would never be able to target and shoot down an airplane. :D

Yeah, I'll be up for the primary zone look next year. Once that happens, then you sit on a promotion list (if you make it) for about a year. So, if things go well, I'll be wearing this rank within a couple of years:
