The defiant proclamation of doom from the Morrocans was met with a screeching wall of white noise. The Overseer, aware that the leaders would be trying to get the news out, was pumping scrambled nonsense onto every frequency and medium it detected comm chatter on. Just as a Secondary Programmer who couldn't contact it's minions was useless, Organics who couldn't talk to one another would be vunerable.
The ships sent to offer protection from a small marauding force were scattering to the winds in the face of the overwhelming Overseer force. The Dreadnoughts were able to focus their destruction on the battlestations now, to finish them off and begin focus on Earth.
Earth. The celestial cradle. The source of Humanity. And now, it was going to burn.
The main bulk of the fleet was hammering the planetary shield to create holes, through which streams of fusion-fission-fusion bombs dropped, to knock down the planetary shields as fast as possible. Aware that battering down the castles walls was not always possible, the Overseer was also doing the potentially insane: Landing a force against the massive Army arrayed against it.
By the ten thousand, they fell from the sky, tiny pods out of which Spider Drones ripped their way free of. Each equipped with a subsonic generator to disable unarmoured humans and a heavy plasma rifle underslung on their body for the armoured humans, they began to march towards the generators. Bunkers and the like offered no interest.
Soon joining them came Flameserpants, light hovertanks that set fire to everything green and alive around them, creating vast infernos to rout Organics like mice.
The Deathstrikes, the heavy tanks of the Overseer, were joining the Spider Drones, as they began the push against the greatest organic army of all time...

Shields were being projected over the last wave of atmospheric entry capable ships that were heading to Earth. They were heading straight down, some because they had been crippled in the attack and were burning up in atmosphere, others because they wanted to get out of the way of any fighting up above, and more still because they wanted to deliver goods to Earth. Earth control was having a hard time keeping them all in check, but they could manage.InnocentBystander wrote:Earth
Over a dozen shuttles flew towards earth, making it into the atmosphere shortly before the planetary shields were raised.
<<This is Baeloaren Shuttle Convoy, Major Bralahhnek speak, we've been sent to assist you in any way possible, please transmit landing coordinane>>
"Baeloaren Convoy, get down into the lower atmosphere. From there we will clear you to land in a space port. Safety first, landing second. We've got your back, but we don't want to have to project the shields further up then we have too."

Destroyers and fighters cruised through the Goa'ould remnants, picking off anything that was still shooting. Recovery shuttles were dispatched to the Arcane fleet to recover any survivors, and every last A-127 in the fleet was reassigned to CAS for the Monacorans and Ousters. With the 180 total in the fleet, enemy ground forces would not last long.
2 hours later, NRS Excelsior
"Conn, Comms! Incoming message from 2nd Battle Group, First Fleet. Earth is under attack and President Major is still on the planet!"
"Recover all fighters! Inform the fleet and our allies, now!. Helm, set course for Earth, jump at maximum speed as soon as the fleet forms up and all fighters are accounted for. How long until we can reach Earth?"
"I'd put it at four hours, twenty minutes, sir."
"I pray to God that's not to late. Move!"

The shields were holding. Un beknownst to the above fleet the Monacoran shields were in fact undetectable with sensors. The lower layer shields, the shields designed to stop unwanted large craft that the invisi shields wouldn't stop, became the proverbial windshield to the overseer's mosquitoes. Destroying whatever transports came to the shield, and leaving little but wreckage which weapons on the ground easilly destroyed.SirNitram wrote:

Monacoran Ballroom, Earth
All was chaos in the ballroom as reports began to pour in about the large fleet assaulting the planet. As everyone knew, Earth had some of the strongest planetary shields in existance, but if help did not arrive soon all would be lost.
Adar Krell had not gone from a humble scientist to the leader of one of the most powerful factions in the galaxy by being foolish. The second he was informed of the situation, he took charge. Grabbing Emir, he headed to the exit and found a Monacoran guard.
"Bunkers, you have bunkers deep under this complex, am I correct?"
"Of course, sir, but..."
"You will escort me there, along with any of the other dignitaries in this room."
"I don't have the proper clearances to..."
"Forget cleareance. You are here to ensure our safety, are you not? The best way to do that now is to get us to a safe location. May I see your communicator?" The guard dumbly handed it over and Krell began to speak.
"Monacoran command, this is Adar Krell, transmitting on this channel through permission of one of your guards. I request an escort to guarded facilities for myself and everyone else here in the ballroom, along with a marine guard."
"Mr. Krell, this is Monacoran command. We agree, and are sending units to your location now."
"Thank you. Could you also collect my head scientist and chief negotiatior? They left a bit early and are now in the room of one Faran Tor. Thank you." He handed the communicator back to the guard.

Aegis
Telkas Frenair, captain of the Aegis had been ordered by the Monacorans to wait well outside the Sol System as a security precaution, simply because the Monacorans did not trust a ship the size of the Aegis to be too close to Earth. Well outside of the range of the mechanical ships, Telkas watched as the fleet opened bombardment, trying to decide on a course of action.
"Sir, we have an incoming transmission from Emir al-Shad."
"Bring it up."
Emir's voice came through weakly. He was using his personal communicator which had barely enough range to reach the Aegis. "Telkas, withdraw the Aegis to Alpha Centauri. Normally we would not get involved in this conflict, but our safety is paramount here. Send a message to Leego Diama in the Sparta system. Get him to meet with you on Alpha Centauri. Also, contact all powers durrently mobilized against the Krynor. Once their battles are finished, tell them that we are ready to help protect their leaders on Earth. It is your job to organize the resistance against this mechanical abomination. Have everyone meet in Alpha Centauri. Speed is critical. Go."
"Yes, sir. Communications, you heard the man. Let's get our shit together. Helm, make for Alpha Centauri. It's a quick jump, we should be there in a few minutes. Contact any ships we have in the area, get them here. Let's move!"

Anyone interested in saving the cradle of humanity should proceed with all possible haste to Alpha Centauri from whence we shall commence our attack as soon as it become practical. Speed is of the essence. Godspeed.

On the surface, regiments (OOC: A Monacoran regiment is roughly division sized, it's in my OOB) were being deployed to the locations of the weakest shielding, it would be coming down soon. Artillery was being set up, a suprise was waiting for these new comers, they'd obviously never heard why the Monacorans were the one nation that didn't use power armor with its infantry. It had become a well known fiasco with some other powers though, the Monacorans had litterally spent billions of dollars to get the single best suits possible, armored suits that would make tanks look like toys, and they got them. But in the first live fire test the Monacoran way of plastering the battle field with enough ECM and EMPs to make it almost unusable even basic electronics caused the "fool-proof" suits to malfunction, and collapse without the electonics that ran them. Almost a hundred people had died in the test, but the army had been dead set against the suits anyway, it violated the KISS principle that had helped to make the army what it was today. And soon it would help to win the battle for Earth.

Jaffa Landing Zone
The attack hit like a sledgehammer. Over the cracked, radioactive ground came the assault armor- massive consructs of metal and ceramic, heavy weapons slung in armored paws. Around them, medium tanks provided the spearhead for the strike; the ground had been made even by the furious orbital attack. Behind them, the regiments of Ouster GS troops advanced. Their natural radiation resistance would protect them from what their NBC-protected power-armor didn't.
The attack hit the disorganized Jaffa troops like a hammerblow. Many of the Jaffa were burned, or sick from radiation poisoning- the heat flash had cooked many in their chainmail. Couds of smoke floated across the battlefield as the Ouster troops released short-duration chemical weapons on the Jaffa landing sites, adding to the already prevalent confusion. Lower-yield weapons were already falling from above as the last Jaffa transport died, freeing up the orbital guns to target the Jaffa formations.
Then, the troops arrived. Organized, spearheaded by armored assault forces, the Hajr's GS regiments hit the stalled Jaffa advance like a tidal wave against a sand castle. The Jaffa were fearful, many of them afflicted with horrible burns or the thick, syrupy cough the Ouster war gasses endowed on those who survived their ravages. They had no air support, and they had no power-armor.
The violence was intense- even with the deck stacked against them, the Jaffa fought hard. Blast-lance bursts could cut through even assault armor at close range, and the Jaffa had some modern weapons to supplement their traditional equipment. Antitank rockets destroyed Hajr tanks, and gunships fell from the sky, caught in webs of converging fire.
Then, swooping in from the flanks, the Dragoons hit. They had disembarked from their transports just outside of fire range, and now, the Jaffa were enclosed. The firefight would not last long.

"Sir, new orders from Command. We're to proceed to Alpha Centauri and rally with the battle group there, not jump piecemeal into Earth."
"Helm, you heard the man. Reset course for Alpha Centauri."
The last fighters made the hangar bay. The Warhammer class cruisers would follow; they were reloading their missile tubes at the fleet tender, but they couldn't afford to wait for the strategic assets. A squadron of destroyers stayed behind with the missile cruisers as the rest of the fleet made the jump to hyperspace.
Earth
The four Republican Marines rushed into the ballroom, orders be damned, to get to their President. The four Secret Service agents were already there. The Marines tossed them their pistols, which they had been holding outside due to Monacoran weapons restrictions.
President Major turned as they began to usher him towards the bunker. "Lord Karsus, Sir Mattews! Come on!"

Admiral Nakema heard the reports from the assault on earth.
"My god... The emperor"
"Admiral Conner?"
"Yes sir?"
"Recall all fighters and make ready to launch for sol immediatly."
"As ordered sir."
Krytosian warships and fleet squadrons moved into position for the jump.
Before they left, a single message was transmitted to the allied forces.
"We are going to assist Earth and defend the emperor. We request any available ships follow us."

The forces clustered at the landing sites were ready for an army based on conquest. The Overseer's first reaction to the ability to send things through the shield was to pepper the defensive positions with airbursted nuclear weapons, turning a thousand sites into new dawns on the horizon. Even as the mushroom clouds rose over the remains of the unarmoured soldiers and their basic, if devastatingly effective, tanks, the landing barges and the drop pods hit the surface. Unhindered by the recent nuclear strikes, Spider Drones surged into the attack, supported by Deathstrikes and Flame Scorpions.
These were foes who did not comprehend 'fear', 'personal safety', or even 'surrender'. They charged mindlessly, spraying fire into the disciplined ranks of the Moroccan survivors, those who emerged from the blasts refusing to break file even for a moment. Behind them lay their homes, and even those horrifically burned tried to fight the oncoming tide.

Artus turned to his military attache- the man who, if it wasn't for the Krynor battle, would be safely on his way back to Eketrina on the Denier of Mercy- and whispered an order in the lilting, vowel-heavy language known as Freespeak. Nodding in a panic, the aide left the room, returning a minute later with a pair of gropeners anf fletchers, and a single Jazzer with a bandolier of ammo. With him were two slim Hajr naval soldiers, the pilots for the shuttle which had brought him and his equipment down. Each one carried a fletch-pistol. So equipped, they followed the nearest Monacoran guard, boarding a shuttle and flying beneath the burning sky, headed towards a safe location. Artus knew he was expendable- that was one of the reasons he was here.
Of the five of them, only Elanie and the two guards were trained in the usage of the weapons.

Reinhasshu was overjoyed to see that his old friend was not among the dead.
"Yes, and I managed to get some stuff from the shuttle."
"What have you got?"
Hanse droped a bag on the table. It contained three plasma pistols, a plasma rifle, several ammunition clips, and a few grenades.
"I figured we might need them."
The emperor took the plasma rifle and slung it over his shoulder.
"I hope we don't. Let's go find out what the hell is happening."
Hanse and the emperor left his quarters to seek out the ranking Monacoarn military officer."

The Monacoran troops had, mostly, been under lower level shielding. Most survived, more were being transported in, and more importantly the artrillery survived.SirNitram wrote:

With little more then a word the artilery began booming in the distance. In under a minute the artillery began exploding in the sky, Electro-Magnetic Pulses ripped apart the landing sites. Cuasing no seen damage, but rendering almost everything electronic nearby useless. Then the shells hit, these tore large gapping holes in the robots' advancing lines, not that wider hles were not already developing as whole swarms of Robots collapsed without functioning electronics. Then the Army began to advance, tanks, helicopters, and air planes began making destroying everything they came across, taking light casulties from the operational enemies. Behind them more helicopters came, raining death and destruction on the crippled units left behind by the advance.

Monacoran bunker, Earth
The C-420 President Major had come in on landed outside the bunker moments after the dignitaries holed up. The decision to attend the Ball had been a spur of the moment one, and rather than outfit the normal Presidential transport, they had just used one of the drop ships from the carrier. A drop ship who's weapon racks hadn't been unloaded.
The pilots ran to the bunker entrance. "We've brought weapons for our men, and anyone else who cares for an assault rifle and can fit in our armor."

"Have you got an extra suit of armor for me to squeeze into?"
(I don't suppose I mentioned this in this game, but Reinhasshu was a military officer for fifty years before he got into politics. He could probably take on an entire squad of those bug things Nitram is dropping and not lose.)

Enemy EMP have caused casualities in excess of acceptable measures. Low altitude shielding rendered nuclear bombardment of minimal use. Requesting immediate support.

Locked on enemy. Firing.
Even as the second wave of the Overseer's horde was starting to land, railgun shells fell from the heavens to smash into the shielding defending the Organics. Against the thermal pulse of a nuclear warhead they were mighty, but the kinetic strikes now raining down like divine judgement would surely test them.
The other Dreadnoughts, however, were busy elsewhere over the now helpless world. Hundreds of railgun shells were screaming down at bunkers, fusion cannons pulsed at large civilian centres, and nuclear bombs rained on infrastructure and industrial structures.
Over the bodies of the less-shielded brethren, the Deathstrikes attacked. Shielded against EMP pulses, these heavy tanks crushed Organic and Construct alike under it's treads, it's microfusion cannon pulsing at the defenders as the division attempted a push supported not by Drones as was planned, but by the rain of destruction from above.

Pinnacle command bunker
"Earth is under attack! Deploy the fleet, go!"
The remainder of Fifth Fleet pulled out of orbit and began the jump to Alpha Centauri. They would arrive in three hours.
Ix'ador
"Sir, orders from Command. We're to jump to Alpha Centauri, there to join with..." The communications officer stopped, not quite sure the communique was right. "With the entirety of the rest of Fifth, and elements of First, Third and Sixth... Sir, Earth is under attack."
"Conn, helm. Course plotted, it'll take us four hours including estimated time to recover troops."
"Good initiative, Lieutenant. Transmit to the rest of the fleet. The occupation is less important; pull the troops. We're leaving ahead of schedule."
On the planet's surface, drop ships began to lift off, bearing Marines and Army personnel. Tank transports began taking on the rolling stock and going to the large troop carriers in orbit. The Arcane fleet was also informed. Ix'ador would have to fend for itself for a while. Colonel Jenkins looked back out at the city from his tank hatch as he drove into the transport. He hoped they wouldn't go apeshit and kill each other in the meanwhile...

The Krell fleet exited hyperspace around Alpha Centauri. Unlike the Nashtar, UP, KSE, and others, they had been fighting around Sparta, a system somewhat closer to Earth. The battle on Earth had progressed for almost half an hour. The initial wave of machines had been beaten off, and now kinetic strikes were replacing nuclear strikes as the orbitla bombardment continued. Reports indicated that the fleets from Camaro were half an hour away. It looked like they would have enough time, just barely...
The ships began to move at a rapid pace. The Aegis began transferring supplies over to the other ships, restocking ammo, fuel, and loading a few extra drones onto the carriers. Leego Diama headed over to the Aegis to take control from there. Basic repairs were made to the few damaged ships. Now all that was left was to await the reenfocements.
1 Aegis
3 Titans
9 walls
11 lances
10 carriers (8500 weak drones)
35 missile escorts
86 blue collars
54 harleys

The shuttles responding quickly, their engines flared to life, they came screaming through the atmosphere, quickly touching down at a spaceport.Straha wrote:Shields were being projected over the last wave of atmospheric entry capable ships that were heading to Earth.
The cargo ships had supplies, electronics equipment, some of it luxury goods, some of it more useful with them went the Infallibe's marine compliment, 500 Generation 59, the last generation that had been specially trained for combat, all in light power armor, 20 Baeloaren Officers in medium power armor, and 55 members of the Order Police, combat division. They weren't much, but they would assist the Monacoran's, they were effectively under Monacoran control.
Alpha Centauri
The Infallible poured back into realspace in the Alpha Centauri system, they needed to find a safe spot to power down and have a short dialogue with the Homeworld Senate.
Soon a dozen, or so cargo transport convoys appeared in the system, ships bound for, or departing earth had received the warning from the Senate and found the Infallible at alpha centauri.

:::::::Glory-II class battleship, Sol asteroid belt.::::::::
Captain Manchesco was furious.
"We've gotta do somthing."
"What can we do? we're outnumbered three hundred to one."
"Is the fusion cannon charged yet?"
"Yes sir, all weapons are fully active."
"I've got an Idea."
::::::::Edge of Enemy fleet, Earth Orbit::::::::
The Unknown cruiser never saw it coming. The Battleship rounded the moon's gravity well and fired it's heavy fusion cannon. The cruiser lit up like the fourth of july, being consumed by the massive explosion.
Five seconds later, a message appeared on the enemy comms system.
"Hey assholes, come and get it!"

In the onsite comand Bunker Lt. General Niven was operating as the on scene commander. he was the highest level general who had been deployed to the scene, or was going to be deployed to the scene of the invasion. Currently he was barking into a communicator in the bunker.SirNitram wrote:

"GET ME MORE SHIELDS! My men are being DECIMATED! Stop those rail guns NOW!"
Slowly the displays changed, shielding was being switched from lower priority areas to the battle field. It would only last about another hour and a half, but they needed it. The new tanks that the enemy had deployed were being hit by the Artillery and Helicopters full on, but even then the Army was being slowed from its earlier high speed advance through the enemy lines. The shouting in the bunker stopped for a short while, though, when a holograph showed the helmeted face of a Monacoran infantry soldier, with a five star embelem of the Prince on his helmet.
'We have arrived'
And then, as the holograph ended, a group cheer went up from the men in the bunker. The Monacoran Tenth, the elite of the elite of the elite of the Monacoran Army had promised half of its force, two battallions, to the front.
At the Front, with the orbital interference stopped teh troops began their advance forward once more. With the tenth two Marine Regiments had landed, reinforcing the attack and pounding ahead towards the original landing zones, leaving dead burning hulks of tanks in their wake.
