The Unknown cruiser never saw it coming. The Battleship rounded the moon's gravity well and fired it's heavy fusion cannon. The cruiser lit up like the fourth of july, being consumed by the massive explosion.

Five seconds later, a message appeared on the enemy comms system.

"Hey assholes, come and get it!"
The Battlecruiser had been about to drop a load of missiles onto a city. Now, it's burning hulk entered a decay orbit over the doomed world Earth, chunks pulled apart by the forces that had destroyed it.

The brave Glory-II-class ship was immediately set upon. It's guns roared, dropping another pair of heavy cruisers before an Overseer Battleship locked it's own fusion cannon onto the signatures of it.

"You will be cleansed." Was the only transmission before death, in the form of a gout of fusion energies, claimed the heroic men and women aboard the Battleship. The ship began it's descent, uncontrolled, into the assembled fleet. Even in death, it managed to plow into a Fast Destroyer.

Like a tsunami of living metal, the Overseer pushed again against the massed forces of Monacorans. Spider Drones skittered ahead alongside the Deathstrikes now, providing much needed cover as the huge Magnum cannons began laying down a literal wall of lead. The Flame Scorpions, terror weapons and boarding weapons, served mostly as fodder, surging ahead on repulsors to try and burn their unarmoured opponents to a cinder.

All in the all, the ground push wasn't going well. But it didn't matter to the Overseer. The first objective was already complete; bunkers across the globe had been smashed with enough high velocity shells from the railguns that all those inside were now a lightly seasoned pancake. Seasoned in blood and death, of course.

The fleet was descending. Not leaving the system, but actually entering the atmosphere. The desperate attack from the hiding battleship had reminded the Master Programmers threats existed, and thus they decided to gamble: The Organics wouldn't unleash their most powerful weapons into the atmosphere, where their own people would be slaughtered by the bleedoff, would they?

It didn't matter. A massive Battleship lent it's guns to the push against the tenth two, and the fate of Earth seemed sealed.

The Kincad Dreadnought fired off it's single missle salvo before pulling out of the system. Due to the missle pods it's slavo numbered 449 missles slashed out at the lead elements before it leapt out of the system to rejoin the carrier group. The carrier group lauched it own attack firing hundreds of missles toward the rear of the enemy formation and fading back from reach.
President Major turned as they began to usher him towards the bunker. "Lord Karsus, Sir Mattews! Come on!"
Cursing the Lord Protestor allowed himself to be herded along by his armsmen. Whoever was attacking better hoped they were faster than the U.P fleets, because there would be no mercy for them after this. Suceed or fail.

United Protectrates Space

"Sure, I'll go outside the U.P it's Earth, nothing could go wrong. I should have clubbed him over his head and locked him into that damned office" Muttered Admiral Daneil Anderson, uncle of the Protector and head of 1st fleet.

"Captain Ryan, contact the fleet and 2nd fleet, we're heading to Alpha Centauri. Order 3rd fleet to proceed." He said to his flag captain.

The captain looked up worry filling her blue eyes.

"Yes Sir," She didn't mention that Alpha Centauri was 3 hours away for both fleets. They didn't have times for debates.

Earth, Sol System
Secure Bunker, undisclosed location

Everything had gone from bad to worse. First, a declaration of war against the Krynor, and now a sneak attack on Earth itself. Jon looked at Thomas, who seemed considerably disappointed.

“Well, look at the bright side. You were right about this being a historic event, Thomas.”

“Yeah. Sure. Assassination. War. Looks like you were right. The universe never changed at all, did it?”

“Nope. Chances are it never will. Least not for long.”

“So what’s the point? Why do we even bother? Why not just stay where we were, keep doing what we were doing. Look at this! We reached out and now look at what’s happening!”

“Yes, we’re being attacked by some unknown enemy, who is only concerned with destroying us. We’ve been here before, you know. Only this time, when this is over, we’ll have allies. We’ll band together, and we’ll beat it. We might not be there to see it, but it will happen.”

“Or we’ll all be destroyed…”

“That’s possible, but I doubt it’s likely.”

“This coming from the man who said that all historic events are brutal and bloody? Since when did you become an optimist, Jon?”

“I’m a realist. I said that because for the most part, it’s true. Just look at any history book. What’s the stuff that gets top billing? Wars, assassinations, plagues, famines, all the stuff we don’t want to happen. What lead to them, what the result was, and so on. You know why?”

“Because we’re sick bastards who enjoy reading about pain?”

“Well, some of us are, I suppose, but for the most part it’s a warning system. Lets us know when we’ve fucked up and how. It’s trial and error, all life is. We’ll figure it out someday.”

“And until then?”

“Well, death is never really out of season.”

“That’s not very comforting.”

“Not my bailiwick, mate. Sorry.”

“Did our ship get away?”

“Yup, I gave it the go code the moment it spotted trouble. High tailing it to the meeting point now.”

“Alpha Fleet?”

“The message was sent, but there was no ETA. Best we can hope for is that they’ll come back to make sure that we’re accounted for, one way or another.”

“What do you think?”

“If this attack lasts a day or so, they might make it, but they weren’t ghosting us. Wanted to stay away from claimed territories, so we didn’t spook anyone.”

Thomas sighed, then turned to his personal effects, “I hope it doesn’t come down to it.”

“Same here, though here’s to hoping it’s a bunker buster that gets us, if anything.” Jon held up a glass of water in a proposed toast.

“Yeah, to quick, atomic death,” Thomas raised his own glass and took a drink at the same time Jon did.

The Military Prince looked at the damage reports.

"Any Idea who was killed with the Bunkers?"

"No Sir, only publiclly known ones were hit though. And most of the important ones had independent shielding."

"Good. Can we raise the reserve shields?"

"Yes. They are relatively un-damaged."

"Good, Reinforcements are coming from Far Point?"

"Yes. General Hideki says they'll arrive right behind the other powers."

"Then we can win this. Are the shields holding?"

"Yes sir, We've got fourty five minutes left if this continues, my prince."

"And the reserve shields?"

"Another thirty after that, but then we be dead."

"Good, they better get their asses here soon. Will the shields protect us from the bleed-off of ships being destroyed in the atmosphere?"

"moslty, the bigger ships will present a problem for us though. Tractor Beams could work though."

"Good. We'll pull through, and then they will burn."

Earth

Inside the bunker, the Krell leaders waited anxiously. Diagrams showed the progress of the Overseer fleets across the planet. They had been moved in relative safety and security, but none knew what awaited them next. Trilla and Faran had been brought back to their wits with a quick stim-shot, all traces of alcohol gone from their system. The planetary shields had been breached half an hour ago, and strikes were targeting bunker around the world. The Overseer did not have knowledge of the location of every Monacoran bunker, and some that it had found and was attacking were unimportant. They stood, silently watching the monitors, as casulaty estimates skyrocketed and Earth's strongpoints fell one by one to the orbital bombardment.

The light over the command bunker winked out, like in the middle of an Eclipse. A three mile long behemoth of a ship was directly overhead, and, from the perspective of those below, getting bigger.

Responding to a Primary Programmers reports of tracking the transmissions commanding the defender's forces, the Dreadnought DN-04 had found the command bunker, and simply sat on it. Gigatons of steel came to rest, crushing the building. Corrosive poison gas was released into any subterranian caves the Overseer could find.

Shields had proven terribly useful against weapons fire, but actual landings were another story. The Monacorans, hastily donning NBC gear and quickly moving to safer portions of the region, were forced to concede this to the over-the-top plans of the Overseer.

Half a world away, the downside to an independently shielded bunker was discovered, as a trio of Fast Destroyers, unsteady in atmospheric flight, tracked one by the energy signature it produced. Nuclear bombs, bunker busters by their yield, were released.

The crystal palace was designed to take nuclear bombs exploding on top of it, not ships. The Palace structure was crushed, gas flowing through it and through the city of Monaco. The Bunker command complex beneath it felt the rumble, and shook, but it was not destroyed, and those within it were not hurt. In Monaco itself a team of men hurried inside the armory. Their combat suits slowed them down, but time was of the essence. Finally after two minutes they rushed the large device outside, set the timer on it, and ran. A minute later the thing blew, creating one big mo'fo of an EMP, partially crippling the three mile long destroyer, and wiping out the entire power grid for hundreds of miles around.

The Master Programmer surveyed the troops as the ship settled. Yes. This force would be more than sufficient for capturing the capital and enslaving the population as Doomed.

It was then that the EMP hit, rocking the ship and only causing a brief interruption for the Programmer. Many Constructs, however, fell over.

It had just enough time to think about how bothersome that was before the containment system for the Antimatter fuel, an active system by necessity, shut down.

When inequal amounts of Antimatter and Matter mix, it's never good to be nearby. The resulting blast completely destroyed the city of Monaco, and created yet another new sun and blast of radiation, as one of the Overseer's Dreadnought's ceased to exist in a meaningful fashion.

IN the bunker below the entire site shook. The upper levels caved in, things fell over, and the power flickered. Mostly, though, the bunker survived. It was designed to take hits like this, Monaco would be rebuilt, the Academy was probably damaged severly. But they could do that, Monacorans were resiliant.

Alpha Centauri

The reinforcements from Ix'ador and Camaro arrived, followed shortly by those from Pinnacle. More fleet units were mobilizing at Praetor, but they'd take hours to get clear for the jump to Earth. There were disadvantages to living in a star cluster beyond just the sunburn...

Earth

The Krell representatives had been kept in the Monaco bunker complex by the Monacoran troops. They watched in horror as the screen displayed the gigantic dreadnaught descended on top of the crystal palace far above them. The dreadnaught landed and they felt the ground shake. Readouts stayed in the green below the level of the dreadnaught, though, as most of the damage was transferred to the top levels. On the screen, they could make out the Monacoran forces approach the downed dreadnaught with EMP charges at the ready. They were glad it was soon to be over.

Faran Tor was the only one to see the disaster coming. Emp near engines was never a good sign, and things could get bad. Without a word, he grabbed Krell and dived under an instrument console. Then the blast hit. Most of the blast sprayed out over the surface, but a good amount traveled down into the bunkers. Shields failed on every level. Sections of the roof fell through and explosions rocked the room.

One explosion hit right above Trilla, throwing her to the ground near the console that Faran and Adar were hiding under. Faran reached out to grab her as a section of roof came crashing down. A girder fell on her, tearing her right leg in two at mid-thigh. She howled in agony. Faran surged forward to get her, but Krell grabbed his arm.

"Don't get out, you'll get killed!"

"If anything else hits us, we are dead anyways. I have to help her!" Faran pulled free from Krell, crawled over to Trilla, and grabbed her under her arms and pulled her towards him, leaving her leg behind, crushed under rubble. Faran ragged her back under the console where Krell was waiting. She was incoherent from the pain, alternating between screams, sobbing, and hysterical laughter.

Cursing to himself, Faran ripped off his jacket and tore the fabric into strips. He wrapped the strips around her stump of a leg, trying to create a tourniquet. He pulled the strips tighter and tighter, twisting them, until finally the flow of blood stopped.

"It's ok now, you're gonna be fine. It's over now, Trilla, it's all gonna be over soon." She couldn't hear him, she had passed out from shock. Faran pulled her close and placed his ripped jacket over her, trying to keep her warm and safe. Krell nudged Faran.

"Faran... what happened to Emir?"[/b]

The Infallible now had about 40 escort ships, frigates and corvettes, 2 destroyers and 1 cruiser standing by, these were the escorts of the first transport convoys that left Bael almost a week ago, it wasn't much, but it was something. Crews if the escorts were mostly workers, totally loyal to the Commonwealth, and the officers were either commanded by Order Officers, stationed on all military ships or by those officers that had elected to stay onboard their own ships. The cargo transports made a sizeable fleet in their own right, though lightly armed and armored, they headed back en masse for Bael, and their numbers would keep them fairly safe from most pirates.

While the sensors on the Infallible had not detected the presence of the Nashtar Warships when it first arrived due to the increased traffic it was more than aware that a considerable number of warships were now in system.

<<This is the Commonwealth Naval Warship Infallible to Nashtar fleet, I'm sure you folks are here to help your diplomats on earth, we've got someone there as well, requesting to join your fleet to take down, whatever those things are!>>

(ooc: I'll be AFK for a couple hours, the small baeloaren fleet is under your control)

INDOMUS IX ADES!!!

Karusus was very much alive, and protecting himself and the Atlantian Ambassador with a wall of force Inside the bunker.

His dreadnought overhead having fled the battle to warn the fleet wyhen they detected the enemy ships on sensors.

The spell he had just released was famouns among mages. Hellball. It materialized next to a group of enemy destroyers and exploded in an inferno of thermonuclear fire.

Around soll system, ships never seen before arrived, waiting a microjump outside earth space, it was the Atlanteans, come to save their ambassador.(Death is a very big thing in their culture. They are like dolphins)

many many fighters
50 bombers
60 light destroyers
30 heavy destroyers
10 frigates
2 Carriers
1 Battle Cruiser
1 Mega Cruiser

A transmission was sent that managed to cut through jamming, it consisted of a low thrum a few high piched clicks, and probably a few things that were inaudible to humans.

It basically translates(you dont know this) to "Defend the pod"

The Mega Cruiser turned on its fleet-defending gravimetric shields. And the battlecruiser upened up a can of whoop ass with its Mondoid Grav cannons. They slammed into Overseer vessels like massive slege hammers, literally blugeoning them into submission.

Frigates(Backbone of his fleet, roughly our cruisers) Stayes back under the protection of the fleet-shield. They let loose salvo after salvo of Crystaline missiles that bled energy away from shields(they were designed for it) and fired their gravimetic cannons, any ship whos shields dropped had their engines moved, their hull blown out or any number of things by d-flux cannons.

But those were not even the primary weapons. On all Atlantean ships DPU/plasma chainguns began their rotations. Firing thousands of rounds per minute into space, thney acted like heavy lasers, expanding gassess propelling the superheated projectiles to high fractional c.

500 fighters swarmed from each carrier they carries two of these weapon(fighters are a big part of his fleet) they spat fire literally in every direction as they avoided enemy fire themselves.

Earth space

"It has been a wonderful time with you, but I think we should really be leaving now..." Crown Prince Jorn said, pulling out a flat elipsoid. With a datavised command he activated it.
It hung itself immovable in space and then suddenly separated into four parts, forming a portal.
It activated, and Crown Prince Jorn and his retinue were safely deposited on the Superdreadnought Freya, which immeadiately activated its patterning cells, swallowing into the wormhole, and leaving the Sol system.

Verdandi

<<Admiral, what shall we do?>> her Chief of Staff asked as he saw the action around earth.
Secure int he knowledge that the Prince got away, though even if he didn't it wouldn't have counted all that much, she was thinking.
<<It would be best to through our limited weight into this battle,>> the Empress called via Datanet. <<But don't risk too much, if you're risking destruction, retreat.>>
The small battle group, consisting of the Battle Carrier Verdandi and accompanied by 3 attack carriers, 5 Battle cruisers, 30 Fast Destroyers and 10 escort frigates began to move, shields at full power, fighter sqaudrons launching.

Karsus let loose another spell, this time a Call Meteor spell.

He summoned a massive rock from the Asteroid Belt and wielded like a space-flail Smashing against the shields and hull of the Oversser ships, even as high-fractional DPU plasmoid rounds burned through their hulls.

Karsus senses the shieklds were down... he didnt have much time.

He touched the rather shocked ambassador on the shoulder, as well as his assembled staff, mumbled a little, then teleported off planet into the waiting Atlantean Mega Cruiser.

"Ambassador, would it be possible for you to help us defend this planet. My dreadnought will join us"

"I think it would be."

With that, the Arcanre Dreadnough got out of the Astral Plane, it had warned the fleet

The dreanough opened fire on the Overseer fleet.

The Overseer's fleet was being torn apart. Ships were peppered with energies almost unimaginable; the atmosphere around them burned with the massive ionizing and thermal radiation. No world was ever meant to take this sort of punishment, and the Overseer seemed to have realized this.

Many ships, in the face of the coming doom, armed all their nuclear warheads and exploded, showering the surface beneath them with Organic-killing hard radiation and flying chunks of contaminated metal, complete with the toxic and corrosive materials from their reactionless drives.

Others kept firing, or dropped more of their lethal payloads on the survivors they could locate by any means of scanning. The great warships were dying, literally, their CPU cores giving out under the stresses. But the Overseer seemed to have obtained it's goal: Earth, once the birthplace of races, was now a tomb.

Sol

The battle group finally reached capital missile range.
A comm signal went out.
"This is Vice Admiral Tjoerhom of Her Imperial Majesty's Navy of Gladsheim. Your attack will not be tolerated."
With that, the fleet opened fire, their capital missile launchers firing volley after volley.

Fifteen minutes after entering the asteroid field, the KSN fleet was within firing range of the unknown forces (I can't remember your empires name Nitram.)

"Are the fusion cannons charged yet?"

"Yes sir."

"Have the fleet form up an open fire."

"Sir, we can't. The enemy has moved into the atmosphere. If we fire now, we'll burn the planet."

"Damn them.... Move us in to point blank range and launch fighters."

More ships exploded in the Earth's atmosphere, the Overseer's replies to the weapons fire becoming weaker.. And weaker.. with each ship dropped.

OOC: Yes, my ships are just those of the Overseer, and no, I'm not leaving the atmosphere. The robots are firmly aware that every shot you all fire into the atmosphere to get us will result in the world being even harder to restore to being able to support life. And we're evil.

The Krell fleet jumped into the system. Carriers deployed drones and walls set up the defenseive screen. Picking the most open flank, the Krell fleet maneuvered to get the clearest shot possible... Lances were primarily short-range. A hail of missiles from the missile frigates closed in on the Overseer fleet, as more and more ships popped into the system from other powers.

The KSN armada descended into the upper atmosphere and launched it's fighters.

The interceptor and bomber squadrons harrased the Overseer's forces, destroying another cruiser.
