I remember at four years old, my mom telling me not to stick the key into the electrical socket but I did anyway and I remember when I was three, I was at a supermarket wanting a bag of chips.~Jason
I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I was less then a 2 years old. (I was about 19 months)

my grandparents swimming pool. Above ground, brown exterior, the deck leading to it was covered in a green plastic rug. My mothers was 8 months pregnant with my sister.

I remember playing in the water with my family, I also remember trying to crawl on the bottom. I also remember trying to get my grandparents collie to come play in the water.

Next earliest memory is about 2 - 3 seconds running down the hall after the nurse about 2 days after my sister was borne, trying to get the baby back

I remember my mom being pregnant with my little brother. He's two years nine months younger than me, so I was two years old.

There's another memory that may be a little earlier than that. I was crawling on the ground and ran into one of those child safety gates that parents put in doorways to keep the kids in safe areas and out of dangerous areas. I'm pretty sure my brother wasn't born yet, because according to my parents I didn't do much walking until after he was born (I could walk, but I preferred crawling).

From around that same time period, I remember the exact moment when I realized what letters and words meant, and I suppose when I realized what reading was. I was with my parents going down the road when I saw some road signs and they suddenly meant something. It wasn't just remembering that the red signs are stop signs; I could actually read "STOP" on them. I was less than four, definately. I can't remember if my brother was in the car or not, so I can't date it well. I do know that after that I read every road sign I saw, out loud, until the age of six or so.

When I typed bbs.stardestroyer.net then found this thread... Who are you guys again?

...Anyway, I forget how old I was but a very young memory I have is managing to get lost in the women's changing area at the local indoor swimming pool. I was off to such a promising start...

I remember laying in a hospital, with an IV or something similar in my arm, and that i was very young, perhaps a baby. I remember my grandma was there, but thats about it. It gets clearer from there, in my memory. I can also remember being roughly toddler age, and playing with, IIRC, little green toy soldiers...God i was violent then, i remember pooring wtare with red kool-aid in it on them and telling my mom they were 'bleeding'. I that normal?

Yep. Though being little I wasn't allowed past a section called Chicken Rock.

All I can remember of it is Dad telling me to hold on to the chain.
